Guys PLEASE take that step back. We love your vlogs, but we really 'hear' you when you talk about the pressure that can come with continuous vlogging. We are 65 year old vanners from Ireland.. and believe us, time just flies by if you don't stop often to be in the present. We have never vlogged but we follow many of those who do here on RU-vid (you two are our faves!). Just please do your travelling for YOU and I guarantee that your followers will LOVE what you put out! ❤

Thanks. It was like something clicked last week where we just said let’s stop trying so hard, I think we lost our way for a while tbh, I (Sarah) especially have found doing RU-vid hard this year, everything that has happened has been overwhelming, crazy, very sad and a fair bit stressful too.. I guess we tried to hide this from our viewers in a way and carry on regardless finding it hard to be ourselves.. BUT I honestly feel that we’re back and feel good about what’s to come.. Scotland is a place where lots of people go to let their hair down, blow the cobwebs away so to speak. I was there a week ago I’ve spent eight weeks in total now over summer and autumn. You’re right about summer being too busy, midgey but it’s lighter at night it was actually colder in July than September but that’s not the norm…I actually have a suntan from 3 weeks in Scotland in September/October 😂and I plan to go back again! I believe it has healing properties a cure…problem is we can’t stay!! Glencoe had two smoke rings around its summit, when I woke up there I had stunning sunsets and sunrises they were out of this world. It doesn’t get completely dark during the summer but it does during autumn and winter ‘Wow’ was the word I kept using, and making throat noise which I can’t type…a kind of cackling chuckle like I’ve won the jackpot. I travelled alone with two cats and yes missed out but no fear of it , not good on navigation which often finds you things you wouldn’t have if you hadn’t got lost…but there are few roads, I mean main roads so it’s difficult to get lost but may take a day getting around a loch, yup I did 🙄 but wowing all the way! just drive back the way you came it looks so different and then you miss nothing…also found a really magical place near Arisaig, otters, deer, no through road it’s narrow but I saw things Felton size there …. Enjoy it and just have every intention to return.❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yes. Look after yourselves! Your health is important to us. If you enjoy it, so will we. Also, you are the only vanlife RU-vidrs that I have followed that have kept going for many years. Others have suffered from fatigue, or moved on to other things. (Eamon and Bec, The Matneys to mention just a couple). We love you, and appreciate your hard work and (dare I say?) endurance.

The Skyfall Road is in Glen Etive. It’s the A82 and it runs alongside the Glen Etvie River, a captivating stretch within the Scottish Highlands. It’s located in the region of Glencoe, known for its historical significance and striking natural beauty. This single-track road winds for about 14 miles into the heart of Glen Etive, offering views that seem straight out of a movie - because they are! FYI 😁

I loved this one and really smiled all the way through. Firstly and most importantly, well done for recognising the need to slow it down a wee bit. Distraction and being busy is great and can be immensely therapeutic but I truly admire your decision to make time for yourselves and for each other. It’s been a heartbreaking time and you’re doing the right thing to take it easy for a while. It’ll be interesting to perhaps share what movies you choose to watch and I can recommend a great and very funny British film called “Siteseers” It has very dark humour and is about a couple who go off in a caravan. It’s outrageous with themes that are especially funny for vanners/caravanners… (but not the darker things in the film!!) As a native of Scotland, I was struck by the sheer beauty captured in your footage and it brought home to me, I have ALWAYS been the driver in every trip, resulting in me not being able to fully appreciate the jaw-dropping (there’s a new one for you 😂) scenery. I loved the footage… With a close friend who is a RU-vidr, I know the amount of work required to create content is immense, sometimes for just one shot. You don’t have a film crew following you and I would guess many viewers don’t fully grasp the hours and days involved in capturing footage, and that’s before the hours of editing. It’s a full-time job! I so enjoy your content, the pace and the variety. Keep up the great work but don’t forget to insist on having down-time to chill, love, recharge and enjoy your life too. ❤

There's only one word for Scotland 'EPIC'. I wouldn't worry about cramming so much in, just do what makes you happy. Scotland is like a fine wine that needs to be savoured slowly. It's not Tequila 😂 You've been through a lot, let nature help you heal. We were at An Tor but parked at the bottom, so beautiful. If your still in Glencoe look up grey mares tale waterfall. Welcome to Scotland Guys - so happy you're here... visited 6 years ago and moved here 5 years ago. As for descriptive - superlative, awe inspiring, tear welling , breath catching - not taking , monumental, life affirming, solitude, B I G S K Y, space, nature - you get the gist when you're here, it can be cold (-26c a couple of years back in Braemar) but alls good if you're wrapped up cozy with a Dram ;D - Give us a shout if you're still about and we'll happily set you right. Maybe show more day to day stuff like cooking and admin days, and visit just one place per video, a gentle stroll rather that a sprint. Also you can always return to Scotland another time, to do some of the places you missed.

I'm glad you've decided to take your foot off the accelerator a bit. Take more time to really enjoy where you are. Although I do appreciate seeing all these (amazing!) places, I don't think you should try to be a travelogue. I like seeing you cooking, using your van etc. Haven't seen you guys relaxing with a we'll-earned pint for too long... Guys, just do you! We ( me and the hubster) don’t mind where you are, or what you’re doing, it’s not all about the place you’re at, it’s about you both in general. If you want a break take one! Or do a video once a fortnight, or replace a video with a live one, is that easier to do ( no editing etc) , do a live quiz, virtual night in with friends vibe. Oh, and pucker is a good descriptive word( bit old school) 😁 best wishes x

We’re both ill and hoping to make our ferry in a week. We watched to boost us up to fight the lurghy! We just promised ourselves crumpets with marmite in Glencoe to celebrate! Fomo is real and I get anxiety watching as I haven‘t made a video for YT for ages. Don‘t burn out. Your vlogs are so uplifting, you have so much appreciation for your surroundings, I‘m sure people would enjoy slower vlogs with more of your impressions. And I don‘t care if you say the same words over and over because they are so genuine.

Aaw lovely video. I'm so glad you're loving our beautiful land. FOMO is a big problem 😅 Its deffinately difficult to choose where to go as there is so much. You parked up at Signal Rock/ an Tor , my park up for many walks. This is a good month to come it's much quieter just now. No harm in taking things a bit slower. You had a sad time a wee while ago, and sometimes you need time to reflect. I love the videos whatever content you put in. Please slow down and enjoy the places that you're visiting. Take it easy. Always loving the drone shots, and the hiking/walking vids where you soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the space you're in. Would like some more about the history of the places that you visit - am hoping that finding out about places and sharing makes you pause and reflect too. Cheers

I love all you do, particularly the cooking shots. Scotland is unbelievably glorious, I go up there every year in my VW T6 in early May before the midges and invariably the weather is fine.

We like watching you enjoying the simple pleasures of van life and travel - no need to think it should be all bells and whistles. Just do your thing and take us along with you. I did think you were rushing a bit in York and it wasn’t as relaxing to watch as usual, so slow down and whatever we see will be just fine. Make sure you have some evenings off to watch movies too!

We enjoy just hanging in and out with you. Since I could write I Often thought it would be great to edit my day to day and add soundtrack. Now we have the technology and you two have the talent to pull it off. Humor is my saving Grace.

Looks fantastic we love Scotland ! in 1981 we went over in march and woke up to two feet of snow! Our 1973 ford CI Auto home with our two young sons. We had to pull the tree branches to get the van up the lane.the main road had a two foot high wall of snow in the middle. there was a car in the field and an HGV on it side in another field! We could get no heat from the radiator. We got to Stranraer to board the FE V ferry we set off in a force 8 gale. The ship had the sea on it's stern we turned to starboard off black head andI thought the ship was going to turn over!!! People sliding down the restaurant floor and our boys holding on to the table legs! We docked in Larne lots of damage on the car deck including or van!! The lorry stands were not stowed for bad weather .damage recorded by the officer. We drove off the ship and the ramp broke behind us!! Very glad to get ashore. But we had many good adventures after that motorcaravning! Dave and Pat.
