You might want to add some ways models can interact with the Stormbird, like a maintenance ladder on either side so they can climb up and a way through it, with some hull doors open with a corridor that models can move and shoot through. Could make it look like work is being done on the Stormbird while it’s in a hanger and you can take the ladders off and close the hull doors with some magnet magic

The idea of a cool launch bay for a bird themed aircraft made using minitures is giving me some Thunderbirds vibes

Build the rest of the hangar and the Base. That will also make for an interesting kill team board! You could play a full assault on the base. Or if you prefer something more with a story then maybe have the storm bird land on an abandoned base.

I like the idea of the Bear Force One being part of the Kill Team board. However it would be great if it could still be it's own thing. I love Squidmar's project with the Manta, however I don't wanna see another Forge World model become part of the terrain. It would be great to see it as a completely playable model.

Dave's look while Jazza plays fighter planes and makes shooty noises is everything. It clearly says 'Jazza, you are the reason that I drink.'.

This is a cool project, but it's clearly inspired by what Squidmar is doing and a curtesy shoutout would have been nice.

Because of you guys, I'm now TOTALLY obsessed with mini making. I've played DnD for years but in doing minis I've realised that my true interest in the game is the world building, not so much the game - much to my campaign buddys' frustration! I've just started printing on my first resin printer a couple days ago and I now face the wonderful task of redoing all of my previous minis (printed on a 0.2mm nozzle FDM, so decent quality but nothing on resin of course). I'm loving the hobby and this channel has not only got me involved in the creativity but seeing what products you guys love is so helpful to developing my skills...thinking trying out streaking grime next 😏 So thanks lads, all of your hard work is much appreciated!

The amount of Kill Team content your pumping out is soooooooo valuable in getting my friends into the game. Also the scale of all the projects are sooo epic!!! This looks like a great project. It made me think, how cool would it be if there was a big ship like this that was articulated to open and fold out into a full kill team board that was the inside of the ship.

Awesome board! If you have the thunderbird up on a stand you could have more ground play space and the thunder hawk could be a central vantage point!

Fun fact, you don't need to plop down spotlights, you can actually use the faces inside the fixtures using the emissive shader!

I was waiting for this 😍. I would try and create a lair of thin ice on the wings and the windows. A heat source trying to melt it and overcome the extreme cold.

That first paint scheme (charcoal with red and a goldish accents) by far looked to best to me, and I think it will look really good with the other space bears.

Well, I made it in as the first one they looked at, at least :D As the first person to submit an entry, I feel I should at least get some props for the chains idea! Hah! lots of people seemed to pick up on that after I'd submitted mine :P They also went very close to my dark blue and gold accents paint scheme! I think this did pop up in several peoples ideas too.

On the painted texture for the stormbird disappearing in blender: I think that might have been caused by blender not automatically saving the image files you create, even when you save the rest of the file. What you have to do is save the image itself externally or 'pack' it into the .blend file manually.

I love this design.... except for the big dream catcher between the wings. I like the look of something being suspended there, but I think I would do a bear skull instead. That's just me though, and this build is gonna be awesome.

I watched the vid because I thought to myself; how are you going to make a storm bird into terrain? I thought you two would cut it up and turn it into a crash zone but the result was so much better.

I have to confess a bit of disappointment in seeing the board seems to have been built AROUND the Stormbird rather than of it. I'm not sure what I was hoping for--maybe a "blown-out" version of the 'Bird that models could play through?

"The material on the stormbird completely vanished. I don't know where it's gone." Oh yeah. Quite familiar with that. You gotta save the textures separately of the blender file itself (you can save them into the blender file, but you still have to save all and not just save).
