As others have said, this was on Violet’s channel and she used an outside producer, so the only thing Dan’s doing here is singing. I still liked it, though! I love harmony. I would imagine that Violet arranged and mixed the voices, so Dan was not emphasized as much as Violet, as it was her video and not his. That's just my take. But I really enjoyed it just the same as they are both so talented.

Thanks! Different - but as others have said, it was probably not Dan's arrangement. He said a few weeks ago on a podcast that it might be possible he would work with Violet again.

This was Violet's channel and so it was Violet's arrangement. I prefer it the other way around but I still find that Dan is too "polite"😉

Thank you for your continued response to this Violet and Dan duet. It's like a take and a give. Dan did an excellent job of arranging "Kiss from the Rose" on his channel and Violet has this one on her channel. I share your opinion that Dan was too quiet at the end. Overall, a nice collaboration.

Thanks for the reaction. I agree that I would have liked to see/hear Dan a bit more forcefully and over the music. BTW one of you little ones looks like he might have hiked a leg on your furniture. They do make little cummerbunds for male dogs if you need it.😉

Nice reaction to this great song! Much as I like violet, I prefer Dan solo or with other guys. That being said, overall, better than the original, but the whistle would have added a lot!

I tend to agree with you. I didn't like this one as much, but my understanding is that this was Violet's arrangement, not Dan's, so maybe that is the reason for the difference in the tone of the song?

I agree that Dan does seem to hold back some in his duets, or, it could be the mixing. Either way, not as robust a performance as expected... though still very good and beautiful. I just heard a Violet cover about an hour ago, that i thought was very good that you might also really like. Cover of Kansas's Dust in the Wind. Her voice is very deep and mellow in it. 😊
