Another great reaction, thanks for doing more Oasis, Oasis were great but live they're Another level. Cigarettes and Alcohol at Wembley, The Masterplan at Maine Road, Dont Look Back In Anger at The River Plate stadium, Acquiesce at Earls Court are a few recommendations
"Oasis was going for about 6 months to a year. And I was writing songs to assume myself, and then one night I went down with a song and everything changed...I knew enough about music and songs to know that was a great song, and then one followed another. Then it was like, no this is happening now." - Noel Gallagher on Live Forever
I have watched your reactions to The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays, The Charlatans, Oasis....you must surely have got the Manchester vibe by now. If you ever visit Manchester get in touch and I would love to meet you both over a pint at the greatest Irish/English pub in Manchester, The Railway, Hale. Madchester was such a great era.
Seems like a lot of Americans have only just started to wake up to how good Oasis's back catalogue is judging by all the reviews from America on RU-vid.
I don't know if you've heard it, but "headshrinker" from oasis is frickin awesome. It's about as punk rock as you can get. It was only ever a B-side, unfortunately, but it goes hard.
Missed opportunity @7:23 when Nirvana comes up to mention the whole story behind this song being a retort to some Nirvana lyrics, Also, Liam just did this very song live w/ Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters last week.
Glad to see more Oasis reactions. My favorite band!!! To add to the John Lennon info, the house on the cover of the single is John Lennon's childhood home.
like I said on the previous video... y'all should definitely do DMA's Lay Down. If you're doing another Oasis song, I recommend something rougher like Headshrinker or Bring it All Down
Not sure your name - But the younger lad nailed it. Oasis live - never do any gimmicks - They stand still and let the music speak for itself. i.e. It Rocks !
the music videos also really dont capture the essence of their music, their live performances are what the band was all about, please react to songs like, slide away, champagne supernova, all around the world, and ciggarretts and alcohol
Oasis were amazing but liams vocals are awful. He’s like a pub singer. In this song the same verse is repeated 3 times. Later on the songwriting got better but the only good thing about this is the amazing melody. It IS one of their better tunes but because of the melody. Not the lyrics or awful singing
I'm sure that the drummer was pushed out after this song or leaving on is own accord hence the burial of him and the symbolic movement of taking is drumsticks away for the next guy
Problem is they were kind of toxic when they were together. I sadly experienced Guiggsy when they were in their prime and ... lets be honest he was was an obnoxious jerk (and thats being kind) - and he wasn't the worst behaved band member. Looking at both Liam and Noel now they seem a lot happier than when they were in the band and part of that is that they aren't fighting all the time. They made great music but I think they simply were too combustible too last - maybe it's like the Kurgan said 'It's better to burn out than to fade away!"
@@alphaomega7191 You are right. I have a story about the band that i probably shouldn't tell. Put it this way Oasis came to the SAWMILLS STUDIO in Cornwall UK to record part of the album Definitely Maybe i think in early 1994, I worked at the studios a few years later and was told a story that makes one of the band members look like a complete ARSEHOLE.... But he was put in this place!
@@Barzo7 - Oh please let it be Guiggsy ... my story was at a bar while they were on tour in 98 - he was acting like a tool obviously high and drunk which would be fine if it wasn't combined with loud and obnoxious. A girl walked past and he as my friend put it did the ass-grab lewd comment combo - she didn't appreciate it but he just smiled like a gormless idiot right up until the guy who looked like a larger Arnold Schwarzenegger who I assume was her boyfriend kindly offered to relocate Guiggsy's head from his shoulders to his rectal cavity. He looked like he was going to loose control of his bladder and then scurried away with a couple of lackeys in tow. My friend asked If I would have stood up for her in the same way and I pointed out she was a 6ft New Caledonian and had he done that to her I would merely have cheered her on as she beat him unconcious with his own grabby hand while berating him in French.
@@alphaomega7191 It wasn't Guigsy, I can't tell you because the person who it happened to might still be in the record industry and people will know that the story came from me. The Sawmills studio has closed now and become a holiday place, it is in the sleepy village of Golant on the river Fowey the only way to get to it was by boat when the tide was in, or walk up the railway line, which angers the train drivers, There is a way to get to it by vehicle but you need a tractor lol. Apparently the band liked it there because they could go to the pub in the village and nobody cared who they were, also the pub had lock ins. They would get steaming drunk and walk down the railway line back to the studios at about 3AM and carry on drinking etc etc... The altercation happened after one of these drinking sessions. There will be loads of stories where the band members have acked like dickheads. But they did make amazing music.
Liams voice is hes guitarre. The falsetto parts are sung by noel gallagher. Hes an amazing singer too. Hes voice fits the more acoustic ballad songs perfect. Check out songs like sad song, half the world away, talk tonight. if you want an oasis song that involved both, badass liam vocals and beautiful noel vocals check out "cast no shadow" or "acquiesce" out....hidden gems. Great reaction by the way....love it. Keep it up dudes.
Yeah Liam probably is the most great fan of John Lennon 😁 by the way i really like oasis and i recommend try to listen Champagne Supernova, is a great experience to listen that song. Thanks for the reaction
The best way to experience Oasis is by reacting to one of their live performances. Anything from Knebworth. From unsigned to playing in front of 250 thousand people in the space of 2 years. Iconic.
