Always keen for 11pm! (Australian timezone here 🤪). 11pm.. Every night.. No fail.. You guys make my night! I wanna thank you for that... Feels like I'm just kicking back with some good ole homies talking about all the music I love 🥰 I hope you guys know the impact you've made on some of us 😊
@@quinzelli4388I really am! My boys continue to impress me with this channel, and I've learned so much about music I would never have listened to. Thanks for the love ❤️ Hope you can join us for the next livestream! 🤘🍷
Great reaction! I saw Slipknot live a week ago in Prague (my first concert since Cov - yeah!!!) and they played this song live for the first time. Greetings from Germany
I like it. It sounds somewhat like the old stuff and something newer and different. Very thrashy. These guys have been doing it for 23 years…who could expect or want them to sound the same.
@@Rykerroad tell me about it I just caught it was just blew my mind. Stoked for you guys and was deserved. Your my favourite reactors man. Have a great day
There's a video where Corey addresses rumors at a show. I hate to say it but I don't like this track at all. I usually like some of their songs that are screaming/singing, but this one just seems too "Stone Sour" on the chorus. The rest of the song I like but the chorus kills it for me.
Yeah I'm having the same vibe bro. Keep Stone Sour out of Slipknot. I will always love Slipknot cause I grew up on them in '99 and they're still better than 99% of shit out there. The singing at the start of the song was pretty cringe imo.
@@BloodandSoilNS absolutely. Some of their songs with a singing chorus I like (Sulfur, Psychosocial, etc) but this one just didn't have that vibe ya know? Glad I'm not the only one thinking this lol!
Love the track. I think Slipknot is an ever-evolving band, so you can't pigeon hole them into s specific sound. Yes, Iowa is some peoples idea of what Slipknot should be, but others might not agree. Including the band. They could carbon copy Iowa for the rest of their career, but that's not how bands evolve as artists. And only because you guys brought it up, as much as I thought Joey was an incredible drummer, I think Jay actually brings more to the band. It always seemed to me like Joey was just out there banging away in Wonderland. My opinion is that Jay plays FOR the music more. How to explain this? It was like Joey was playing a drum solo over a metal track where Jay seems more integrated into the actual music. Just my honest opinion...
Jay is phenomenal. And I think that’s due in no small part to the fact that he grew up loving Slipknot like you or I did! To him this isn’t a gig for him to lackadaisically do the bare minimum. This is his infinite gratitude and appreciation of how incredibly lucky he is to be a very special part of the thing that meant so much to him throughout his life. To him, doing a passable job probably isn’t even an option. It’s most likely more of a he HAS TO give it every ounce of effort and honor his idols
Joey wrote guitar and drums for some of Slipknot's best songs. I don't think Jay does any of that. Jay just drums! That's why after Paul died and Joey was gone the music suffered; they were 2 of the bands best songwriter's.
Sick to see these guys back to straight up Hard & Heavy 🤘 Dudes you need to open your world up to Both Periphery & Haken - two bands that are totally underrated but will BLOW YOUR MINDS!!!!!
Swansong... (Dying song) releasing the 'alter-ego' back to the elements 'water' like a Viking funeral as if baptised by fire.. Released from a contract with the abstract now to be unleashed from their cacoon (contract) and now.... new life is creating room.... ;)
I have been a Slipknot fan since the first album. I do feel like this calls back to their earlier sound a lot more than other recent releases. Like Kyle, I like it, I’m not sure yet if I love it, but I need to listen a few more times. Also the weird thing with the water in the video, some people are saying it might be some sort of storyline that’s going to carry to another video. Not sure about that but we’ll see. Great reaction guys!
Please, understand the concept of evolution, referencing or camparing to the first album is like saying Let It Be was not as good as Please Please Me, listen to each Album on its own merits and allow artists to grow, if you dont like what I have to say and you want the same sound on every album, go and buy every Nickelback album.
Yeah no I'm gonna have to disagree, some of their songs off the WANYK album are definitely call backs to their earlier stuff than this song. But don't get me wrong this songs decent, although it's not my favorite out of the 3 singles.
By far this is one of the coolest if not best reaction videos I've seen so far here on RU-vid. Talking about Slipknot with at least a bit of history on some of their stuff from the past to the present.
Hey guys, love your reactions...i just wanna say i know time is everything but, i watched mr lboyd from the get go. He's ok.yiu guys are much better in a way...and i believe if some how you could drop two or three in a day. You would have 100k within a month and 500k within 6 month...just saying...you ay off each other is great...plus i think at least two one metal and one hip-hop ppl will watch both and more will sub on both sides....with add revenue and going live one hour a week...this would be full time for you in less then a year....
Waooo!!!....Congratulations my friends Kyle and Eric!! ...I want invite you to give us your opinion, like music lovers, reacting to who is considered the best singer of the world...His name is Dimash Kudaibergen, a young singer who handle 7 octaves and 3 semitones of vocal range (An alien)...He has been singing since he was 5 years (he is 28 now) and he can sing in more than 15 languages...But if you decide to react to Dimash for the first time, please don't do it with his most recent songs ... I recommend that you go to the year 2017 and react to the song that made him a global idol ... I mean the performance he did of the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...You have to be prepared because you are likely to receive a flood of views, comments and new subscribers....And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bDX3FhmyNac.html
I only have one critic for this song the drums are not loud enough i would like to hear the double bass more like in every other Slipknot song ( Jay is Killing it on this one )other Then that they are still one of my fav band 🤟
This was just OK for me honestly. It had some remnants of OG Slipknot sound but it just didn't hit right in my ears. I STILL have my self titled Slipknot CD from over 20 years ago. THAT is my favorite no doubt. I will give it a few more listens to see if it clicks for me. Great reaction guys!
@@Odd1006 Yeah I think you are right. I listened to it again. Im definitely digging the intro and other parts of it but the chorus just doesn't seem to fit for me.
This and Chapeltown seemed to have a diverse mix of a lot of different things going on which breaks from traditional cadence to me. This require me (and probably many others) to play it multiple times for it to stick. As someone who also thinks the self titled is the best album, they clearly are showcasing each of their growth over the years with these singles. I hope that just like with the WANYK album my favorite tracks are buried underneath the singles (Orphan, Not Long For This World).
