I was always scared of learning Arabic, because I did learn it when I was young but I forgot all of it ! I was so embarassed so I kept pushing it away, until one day I made dua'a, praying that Allah guides me and helps me with learning Arabic, because I really wanted to continue learning surah from the Qur'an and its meaning. Next thing you know I just opened one of my empty journals, found a beginner playlist to learn Arabic and began my journey. SubhanaAllah when I tell you you just need to ask Allah to help you and give you the courage to overcome your laziness and start learning Arabic !! It has been a month now and I can finally read the Qur'an without much difficulties all thanks to Allah !

I am not Arabic. But I am relearning the Quran with translation. Everything thing i recite in salat,..., I know accurately but do not know exactly the translation. Even this has changed the way I pray now. Would highly recommend studying the translation of surahs that one plans to recite on a daily basis. It also encourages me to learn Arabic.

I know you cannot translate the Quran completely into English BUT I recommend "The clear Quran" by Mustafa Khattab. This is a well done tafseer/translation

Yeah I was at Sunday school when I was very young and I was talking about that to my Arabic teacher she was teaching us Quran I was talking about the meaning of the words we need to learn the meanings of them I was just learning it by myself and I'm still learning it

Thank you, finally the golden standard. Learning Arab is the way to achieve and understand quran's miracle. To be in the same shoes as the companions To be in the same shoes as when A certain man, left soo angry and humiliated that her sister actually known to follow the teachings from the disgrace and enemy of his tribe, that he hones his sword ready make ends meet with her. ready to scream his lungs, he stops at her door to some kind of poem, singing alike that is unlike anything he ever heard, beautiful, calming but also strikes fear within it's warn and authority. of which he knew was his sister's voice, his mind screaming "what was that?" Hope allah guides us in our search for his knowledge, _wallahua'lam_

If there is a will, there is a way. Don't wait around for other people to spoonfeed you knowledge. Don't wait around blaming the education system. Be proactive. Take action to start memorizing Al-Qur'an and the translations. Surah by surah. Small steps but consistent. There will be a day during salah, your mouth recites in Arabic while at the same time your brain is translating your verbal recitation in your own language. May Al-Hakim make ease for us.

Muslim & non Muslim understanding for among non Arabs: to be Islam u must become Arabs, u must chant in Arabs and must act like Arabs... The Quran? As a singing (taranum) and not by understanding its content and its message. Then what do Muslim todays follow? The Hadith, the non Quranic teachings that has been proven against Quran in many way such as Breaking Fast in Quran is Night but in Hadith it was Maghrib (sunset).

Address colonialism PTSD to solve racial issue. Can't start any problem solving without a clear problem statement. His generation feeling like they are losing identity or rights as indigenous is a valid concern for them as they are the generation that went through occupation. Our generation dismissing their trauma isn't going to solve anything. It makes sense he even parroted British dehumanization rhetorics of his own and other races as he was the one that went through British indoctrination growing up. We do not know the struggle of the generation that experienced colonialism, we have no right to look down of them and dismiss their trauma. It's worse, some of our generation even take the west as our awliya', some to the extent of siding with active colonizers.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Sahih Muslim 2167 a Book 39, Hadith 16 Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it. Quran 9:14 ˹So˺ fight them and Allah will punish them at your hands, put them to shame, help you overcome them, and soothe the hearts of the believers- the Koran does contain passages that encourage Muslims to engage unbelievers with grace and persuasion (Sura 16:125), the Koran contains other verses that appear to command Muslims to engage in offensive physical warfare against non-Muslims.
