"The Boss was laughably unbearable, but that's sort of what made it fun," is exactly how I would describe every time I've ridden it as a local. You know, as a Disney Parks fan who lives in STL, I tend to be pretty harsh on Six Flags St. Louis, so I'm glad to see an outside perspective from people who enjoyed it. Gives me something to consider when I'm weighing it against other parks.
I rode The Boss once, that was enough! We usually bring our own lunch and go back to the car to eat. Time for you two to ride the train for a nice smooth ride. Hope you got to cool off on Log Flume. Thanks for showcasing Six Flags, St. Louis! 🎢
Thanks for this! I'm a local. Our park's Batman ride does get a long line typically. I enjoy hearing and seeing different perspectives. I'll definitely check out your other videos. You two have inspired me to visit other parks.
10:59 Just wait until you ride Hades 360, that is a jackhammer. Also, I love the Boss, its my second favorite wood coaster and sits in my top 10 out of 250.
The Boss is such a charming coaster and has a beautiful setting! We hope that someday it can get re-tracked though. Hades 360 is an elite coaster that is unfortunately a jackhammer of a ride!
Just so everyone who wants to go is aware, the carousel is being worked on. They're repainting and fixing up the horses for it. So, don't worry, the carousel is still going to be at St. Louis.
My 4yr old daughter rode her very first roller coaster (Rookie Racer) there this year on the 4th of July. Didn’t know how she would react, but we ended up riding it 11 times that day. Hardly any wait and I’m happy they finally got a family/kid friendly coaster there. It helps we only live 30 mins away so we got the season pass and have been back 4 times in 3 weeks. Thanks for sharing.
@@RavensFlock81 That is awesome that you guys got to ride that much! Six Flags St. Louis is such a charming amusement park and Rookie Racer was an amazing addition! We appreciate the kind comment! :)
The Boss has been rough since it was first built. Almost seems like it was designed to be that way as it definitely enhances the feeling of speed and being out of control.
@@EnjoyYourRide5 I think the craziest part is when it first opened a guy used it to set a world record for the most consecutive rides. I can't imagine what his back must have felt like after going over and over for weeks on end. He had all kinds of padding in the seat with him but still... I actually got to chat with him briefly on the lift hill one of the times I rode it that year.
@@marriedwithguns3051 Wow. I can’t imagine the headache from riding that many times in a row! I thought it was a fun ride but definitely not one that has a lot of re-rideability
@@EnjoyYourRide5 they actually made the queue line shorter a few years ago. You had to actually go through all them twist and turns at the beginning instead of cutting through
What did u guys think of the park? As someone that’s from the St. Louis area I don’t mind six flags but they definitely need to redo a lot of old good rides ninja used to be good but can be a rough ride at times
@@justingentry1716 Overall we really loved it! The rides were definitely rough, but the park was super well maintained and the operations were fantastic.
I agree with you guys on the boss I went here on 6/10/24 did the boss in the afternoon it's my least favorite coaster here never doing it again. This is also my home park. Ninja, Batman, and American Thunder are my top 3 favorites. Just have to make sure to do Ninja in front row it's not bad that way.
@@EnjoyYourRide5 I've never experienced it towards the back of the train so can't compare it to the front it was my very first time on it and it was also my first coaster that does inversions at six flags I'm going back in late October and I'm excited to get back on Ninja and Batman again.
Going back to great America tomorrow, gotta drive tonight and meet my uncle and his kids. Hoping to go to worlds of fun, this park and silver dollar city in the future sometime. Mildly curious to experience the boss as well as mr freeze for myself. Whats the next park for the channel? Also is mr Freeze better than Maxx Force? Double also wish raging Cajun was still at great America too
@@randompog8493 I hope it isn’t too busy for you guys at Great America tomorrow! We are heading on a road trip next week and Kings Island is our first stop, so that’ll likely be the next major park visit that we upload. As for Maxx Force vs. Mr. Freeze, if you’re looking for a crazy launch, Maxx Force has Mr. Freeze beat by far (in my opinion), but Maxx Force is just so short in comparison. Both are great rides but I think I like Maxx Force a bit better - although there may be some home park bias playing a role in that.
@@EnjoyYourRide5 get a night ride on beast for sure, that thing bashes you and throws you through its layout. Also timbers is overrated and if the weather is bad enough you can just marathon flight of fear until the bigger rides open again. Both Orion and diamondback feel like raging bull and banshee is definitely way too intense to instantly reride. You may need fast Lane, you may not but waits for timbers at least aren't too bad. I always just get it aside from my home park at Valleyfair because that legit doesn't need fast Lane at all With flight of fear and backlot be ready to ride a little defensively, and especially if you get fast Lane abuse the heck out of flight of fear during weather that shuts big rides down, was so fun and it's also ACed in there when you wait. The ops will force you into a row on that ride as opposed to the others though so you may not get a front row seat Speaking of fast Lane it is interesting how Batman the rides sends you to the stairs where it's still a good 10 minute wait for everyone, with no ac. But the music is great in that staircase at least. I'm hoping to go to six flags over Georgia and fun spot Atlanta next
@@EnjoyYourRide5 of course. Waiting in sky strikers line now and it's going decently fast. Also gotta get my American eagle credit for the current season since it's been since my first visit Update: skipped my eagle credit but got on Maxx Force 8 times in a row because of empty seats after using single use flash pass to bypass the line the first time
I expected to hate it because most people say bad things about it, but I really enjoyed it! Probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite coaster in the park. Definately my favorite coaster that Arrow was apart of, even partially.
Exactly front seat for me on Ninja is what I would do I've only done it once and that day was my first time doing it as well as my first times on Batman, and Boss.
