The rubik's twist build is based on an actual toy that looks just like that. They probably counted the same number of wedges and turns for a perfect replica.
ScrapMan, if you see this comment, please check out a Scrap Mechanic Creation called the 'Zodiac Miner. It is one of the best Scrap Mechanic Creations I have ever seen. It is a flying mining vehicle, that has a secondary vehicle inside a cargo bay. I won't spoil what the second vehicle does, but it is really cool, and extremely impressive. The creator actually has several vehicles all of the same quality, but in my opinion, the 'Zodiac Miner' is the most impressive.
@@magicalawnmower4764well the new update allows you to do so (tho the mods haven't been ported to the new feature yet... One of the best mods is the Fant mod)
11:17 - yeah, those are awesome toys. I had one long time ago. Remember one time we were driving someplace far and it took me almost the whole ride to figure out how to twist this thing into a ball. Instructions had like 2 steps, a finished quarter orb and a finished half orb xD
Just an FYI for those interested both tractors were older models around 1940's-50's give or take and the one with narrow wheels is a row crop type tractor
That wedge thing is based on a physical toy. I actually own one, same coloring and everything. It's a VERY "old" toy. I didn't know you could make this shape with it though. I just tested it out and yeah. . . it checks out.
11:30 the wedge stack that folds into a ball is actually are creation of a toy, i had one as a kid. gr8 way to keep you occupied on long car rides...think its called a snake twist puzzle ... that brought back some memories
11:00 I had a toy when I was a kid (80's-90's) that was exactly that. A line of wedges in a line that you could bend into shapes. So that is definitely not a "new" thing.
I would love to see more Workshop Hunters ngl! May be underwhelming, but this is actually my favourite series just because of all the weird crap you guys find sometimes! And it's just really entertaining what you guys may do with them.
Fun fact: a snake of wedges that folds into a ball is an old soviet toy. My grandparent still have one, it's hella fun to figure out by hand. So yeah, it's pretty old concept actually.
That wedge gang approved twisty thing is known as a magic snake, I have one and its pretty fun to use. It comes with alot of shapes for you to figure out so that sphere like one is the way the toy comes.
The magic snake or however you guys call it was my first creation on workshop (not the one in the video, i had a different one) this video reminded me of it. Good old times
That long wedge aqua white thing is a Rubik's Snake. The same inventor of the Rubik's Cube invented it. It came out in 1981 at the height of the Rubik's Cube craze.
I wonder if "MM NEW" was meant to be Minneapolis-Moline, a US farm tractor company in the mid-20th century which painted their tractors yellow. I do love that a tricycle tractor was represented (the term applies to true three wheel models as well as four with the front pair placed close.) On the dairy farm where I grew up there was an old Massey Harris tricycle though most of our work was done with wide front Allis Chalmers models.
Video Idea: Two players defending their small destroyer with AA guns and two other people trying to bomb/strafe them. All player built, with restrictions of course. Then switch roles for second round. Whichever team survives longer wins.
I am amazed by the fact that you guys still haven't tried "pokemon". That would be really cool and maybe we can also expect some epic battle like in the battle bot episode. If pokemon isn't a lot, then try the names of some classic (or other) pokemons. I hope that this idea gets selected.
12:02 funny thing about that….. this was definitely done by someone in their late 30’s. I know this because that is an actual physical game you could buy in the 90’s and I would bet that person still owns one.
Idea for workshop hunters. Use the first letters of your names. Creations have to start with that letter. Or try to do another olympic events using that ruleset with kosmo, kan and yourself
I experienced that world glitch thing when pistons came out, and if I recall correctly it's when something super heavy is on pistons. But I could be wrong
Yeah the ultra heavy green block is on top which is enough to crush the pistons strength. But the way it is it pushes the pistons into eachother, which then accelerates out, and the constant pushing up makes them bounce higher and stay up longer. It did go too far at one point and it had a scrap mechanic collision which knocked the speed off.
Te rubix cube thingy ( wedge into ball ) is an IRL toy you can buy in any $ store or supermarket, some times they also are un small capsules with random gifts for a coin
1:31 "Is that the tendency for new things to get more compact as they go along" lol i guess not for tractors, they are MASSIVE these days compared to the old ones ;d
minneapolis moline is what mm stands for tractor wise also the tiers are closer together in the front because it made it ezer to line up with the crop rows in a feild ( my grampa owns 3 tractors like that so now you dont have to ask)
how about you play scrap mechanic with Yzuei but you should make a plane to fight an anti air ship that can destroy you does that sound like a good idea.
I took an very old Dutch dictionary , the fifth word on the 36th page is Aanzethamer. An very old word, I make it a hammer! But the words started on page 17 so I also search for the 36th page with words, here the fifth word is Admiraliteitshof. Or in english, admiralty court, also known as maritime court. I hope there are better words in the comments..
The glowing green block on the water thingo is a ultra heavy block which I think is in the modpack I think the pistons are just struggling to lift the block up because it weighs so much which is why it bounces up and down Cool effect
