The problem with “changing the grip module” is not as simple as that. The JT is $400 on top of the most expensive gun in the group, and to have to get something like an entire lower to improve a gun is a bit ridiculous. The WC is a LOT cheaper, but the majority of people are still not going to have the know how or tools to swap their entire FCG over, as easy as that can be.

Yeah, I carry the MC9. I have tried the p365, hellcat, and shield plus, but there is a reason I picked the MC9. In my opinion, it is the easiest to shoot accurately, has the best trigger, has a great price ($440 MSRP), comes optic ready, and takes larger canik mags up to a drum mag if you want to be ridiculous. It should've been on this list.

So we have to remember that they are talking about the P365 as if you can't turn it into an entirely different gun. You can literally buy an XXL slide, and a Macro grip module and have a 17rd gun that is still trimmer than a G17. The only thing you really can't change is the trigger, and luckily, I think the P365 trigger is quite good, and that's from someone who was shooting a PDP prior to picking up a 2011 for competition.

Anytime Glock fanboys rate Sigs all us Sig guys get butthurt. The grip angle and bore axis is just too much for the Glock guys to manage. Not all guns and not all mounting options and not all dots or iron sights accommodate this. It's often a deliberate choice you have to make. Direct milling your slide instead of relying on a plate or getting taller sights or a different model of dot etc. Seeing as how you can't just pop the thing off like you can with a dot on a rifle, it's kind of important to have access to those irons.

It really seems like there are micro-9s that are built specifically for concealed carry self defense, and micro-9s that are built to be just a miniature version of a full-function handgun. The trials you put these guns through is WELL beyond what most people are going to need from these guns in a self defense setting. Definitely good to see how hard you can push some of these guns considering most of them are designed to put 4 rounds downrange in the smallest, quickest package possible. It seems like the hellcat and the p365 are designed to be just a pull from the belt and throw 4 shots at a target. It seems like the Glock, FN, and shield are built to be the best gun they can be at a small footprint. Also worth pointing out that many of these guns might have aftermarket upgrades and parts that are nice and all, but if this is going to be your concealed carry that you're going to bet your life on, please really think out what changes you make to it out of the box, both in terms of reliability (is that specific upgrade as tested as the gun itself) and safety for yourself and under the law (sure you can run a feather trigger faster at the range, but how are you going to feel dropping that in a holster pointed at your wiener, and how is it going to look to a jury that you can basically blink on the trigger and put a hole through someone). Just food for thought before you take a perfectly functional gun and make a dozen changes to it.

@Shenmue06
@Shenmue06 18 дней назад
@@jason200912 There's been more issues than that. The magazine's don't freely drop out of the frame. People literally have to heat/freeze and grind out the frame just to fix the magazine issue. The pistol is a huge failure for canik. People don't like hearing that but it's the truth. Canik rushed the product out to the market and didn't properly test it which is starting to become a huge problem with several companies these day's. The quality control was horrible and no one should be defending them because it's unacceptable. I've heard from several people online that the customer service was horrible. Caniks are cheaper than Walthers for a reason. The quality of the parts and the quality control aren't at the same level as pistols like a walther or m&p. Caniks have better triggers than something like a m&p or glock but they're overall cheaper made firearms. For an example when you buy the steel framed canik rival and compare it to the steel framed pdp you'll see multiple flaws on the coating of the rival where the pdp will be flawless. The only cheap pistol that's at the same level as companies like walther, s&w and glock is the CZ lineup. If someone is on a budget they're far better off buying something like the cz p10c.

What a great video and overview of all these different pistols. I appreciate the unbiased approach while still realizing you have inherent bias because glock is the main pistol you all shoot. This really does help, even if I don't agree with scores. The parts where you talk about how one grip is just too small so your fingers dig into your palm is super helpful and could be a reason to look into something a little bigger. I sort of get running the different “typical” red dots for the different pistols (eg Sig dot on the Sig p365), but on the other hand… kinda silly/dumb to do because you’re trying to *isolate each pistol* and control as many other variables as possible. Like you said, separate videos should be done for each dot-in which you’d use the same pistol for testing. Just my two cents!!

I'd really like to see the GX4, the MC2SC, the R7 Mako and a couple others included. It's an excellent topic to cover and there are several really good guns in the same size/capacity range... and they really give people the chance to carry a fair amount of power without having to carry a large, uncomfortable gun all the time. I just know too many people with P30's, 1911's, Glock 19's/17's and other similar large guns that just don't carry them often, because they're too large. (...and then some of them when you ask about the Micro 9's they complain about the power/capacity, as if capacity is more important than not carrying a gun at all... like 10rds or even 6rds of 9mm is somehow worse than having Zero rounds of anything). Like, I'm happy when I see people carrying .22, .25 and .32 handguns. They're far more capable and far more effective that people realize. They are less likely to kill (85% survive being shot with a handgun anyways)... but the point isn't to kill. The point is to stop the attack. Even if you "shoot to kill", your assailant is most likely to survive regardless.

Initially I went to the p365 for the hype, and continued with it when the XL came out. It's wierd, but I TRIED to like the p365 series for so long for unknown reasons. Maybe because I don't like glocks, but do indeed post better times and scores when shooting them. I have an "against the grain" mentality, so I try to do other stuff even know I know it doesn't work as well as the Honda civic. Uh I mean Glock. Thanks for the hard work dudes.

This is like having a bunch of race car drivers test drive minivans and decide which one is best without considering anything that a minivan was built for. They test how fast it is to reload, how fast the trigger is, how fast it is to draw, and then give another double-weighted category for how fast it is overall. They don't account for price, reliability, concealability, weight/size, or round count in a flush mag as any consideration whatsoever. These are things people actually care about and make their decisions from. Also, doing drills for 3 days and leaving runs with malfunctions, dying batteries, and dying optics as the official score is sloppy and unfair for a pistol evaluation.

I was about to say...I know for my small hands and small size the P365 means I keep my carry on me at all times because it's easy to conceal and handle (I shoot well with it too!). But besides that micros are for conceal carry, not so much hanging out at the gun range all day. EDIT: Just wanted to say that I do appreciate the thoroughness of what the guys did. I subbed to this channel for a reason and that's the consistent quality content! It's just that certain aspects of why people go micro weren't addressed. Especially the female and/or small hands factor. What may feel too small for some is actually the best size for others. And everyone knows the best carry is to actually carry and not leave it in the car or anywhere else because it's a bit cumbersome to conceal.

There’s already a ton of bias against one particular pistol and optic and I’m barely into the video. I knew it wouldn’t go well for the Hellcat when I realized you didn’t go with the Hellcat Pro model. It is a night and day difference between it and the older, shorter barreled (and much lower capacity) Hellcat. I’ve shot over 3K rounds with my Hellcat Pro with ZERO malfunctions. I’ve carried it every single day for close to three years. Interestingly, mine has a Crimson Trace Rad Micro Pro green dot sight installed, and I haven’t even had to change the battery in that three year span. I did have to take some material off of the trigger guard as I have large hands (think Glock knuckle), and I actually successfully pocket carry this rig in an Alabama Pocket Holster which I modded with my Drexel for the Crimson Trace Rad Micro Pro green dot sight. It has never been detected, and I’m a news reporter and I interact with a host of people every single day. The 17 round mags are nice, but I use the stock 15 round mags when pocket carrying. I swap out the 15 round mag with the 17 round mag when I’m home and in for the night. The ONLY complaint I have with the Hellcat Pro is the trigger, but I’ve trained with it enough that it no longer has any negative effect on accuracy.
