Wow Justin that sounds great and i wish i didn't have to leave and stuck around for a ride , battery made a big difference with that quick start up , thats gonna be a well known car and talk around town brother, thanks for the shout outs for @Vassmotorsports
Such a beautiful car. It figures the clutch is bad but it give you the opportunity to upgrade the clutch, transmission and all other goodies associating with it. Congratulations
As a former educator, I was never, or I should say, had limited experience with cars. HOWEVER, you provide such great content for this novice. WELL DONE from mechanical to family interaction.
Brilliant episode , best line was "why do you like starting the bike so much, because I love it" and who wouldn't love starting that. Love the family footage , so lovely to see , and wait for the day when your son's ring you and ask if you fancy a round of golf , you will be in the car before the call ends. Thanks for sharing Justin ❤
Gasoline that is blended with alcohol has about a 9 month shelf life. After 9 months the alcohol separates from the gas leaving stuff that can't fire an engine. The alcohol accounts for a good amount of the octane rating. Also, the alcohol loves to gunk up every bit of the fuel system, especially the carbs. This is just the nature of alcohol, it really causes a lot of sludge that clogs jets and cruds up the float bowls of the carbs. Using a product like Sta-Bil will help greatly. Seafoam gunks up fuel systems on it's own so Sta-Bil is a much better choice. Expect to clean the carbs every year or 2. Hope this helped. EDIT; alcohol likes to destroy gaskets and seals. Some materials handle the alcohol better than others.
He changing right after cam break in and cruise around town to flush any debris out of system, and change again shortly. Then should be good for a while
That is a very nice camaro with a sweet setup. Love the fact your doing this with the boys, letting them help & learn this young is awesome. It blesses my heart to have my (daughter) 7 & (son) 18 year old helping me work on something, especially my vehicle. Thanks for all the content 3BB. KeepOnKeepinOn
Justin, curious if you were aware of the GMC 6/71 blowers beginning. They were designed in the 1930s for use on the GMC/Detroit diesel. It was side mounted and gear driven and. Mounted in the same area as the Cummings ISX EGR cooler. They idled with a blower surge lope.
Looked like the weekend was an amazing time getting the Camaro sorted out and your dad’s visit made it a busy weekend for sure and it was great seeing you golfing together!!! And the Camaro is sounding wicked now!!! See you during the week and stay safe out there!!!!
U should have Justin and made sure everything was A OK. My son's helped me except 2 of them that was at practice. But they was able to show up while we was working on the Transmission on the Harley Truck it's a 2000 ford Harley Davidson Limited Edition F150 Extended Cab. Transmission was slipping and i ordered new gear's for it and other stuff. And i had the kid's tear it down while me and other's was working on the Chevelle. It's really louder and Jessie was like i miss the way it had that rumble noise. She ran inside the garage and was like thumbs up when it turned over. She was prepping dinner to stick in the oven. I am running just one Carb this time easy to tune and adjust. I taught Cash and Austin how to set the timing. I had to get a new battery cause the battery was taking less charge. And the alternator showed it was putting out excellent charge. Ha ha like Jessie's comment allot of us arrived at the prom in our Muscle Car's. When it was senior's last day. We all did burnout's in the parking lot and also leaving the school. My 5th grade teacher i had still has that video of me doing donut's in the parking lot. She was very happy watching me receive my diploma. When i lost my Grand Parent's and my dad within a week apart from each other i wanted to quit school. And she was like no no and same thing with my late Aunt Maggie. Hope the Camaro still run's excellent. I drove the Chevelle to work and customer's are like who's Chevelle and allot of them was like did Jesse get a new one.
You can go as much as three turns out on all the air bleeder scures. Start it up and it should idol. then start turning in each one a quarter turn then they would all be at 2 3/4 turns repeat 1/4 turn each at a time. Until the idol is not smooth anymore. Then back out all 1/8 of a turn it should be good. Check your oil if it's dark already your recycling that grit from the old camshaft. Only one wheel was burning rubber😂
Justin I'm happy that you got to fix the engine on your car you guys work very hard on your car engine it's nice to see you your father-in-law and father go out golfing
Valvoline vr oil is expensive but glad it has zinc in it. It would be good to run all the time due to the zinc content. Amsoil has something similar. She sounds awesome. Good job fellas
So that fuel gauge just got a little rubber plug when the engine gets up the temperature, you’re supposed to open it to bleed it or you won’t get the right fuel pressure
I seen that but its on bottom and thought it was supposed to be on top and cut nipple off to stay vented? Oh well new one with out fluid took care of that
is this 3bbp (pups) ? T- Dubbs forgot the blinker fluid.! yeah Jasper made a visit. is the battery cable big enough I know my radio cable is thicker than that one. great video Peace Love and happiness to your fam
Thats what I need oh boy at my age they have a special place for me. Once I outrun a Vette ZR-1 on a course my car was an 80 Vette That fella had Nitrous in his but I still outran him hands down on a Grudge Match. I wore him out. My engine was a Camero Z-28 302 Modified with 2 4BBL Carbs. I had A/C and it looked brand new. I made him sick. I came in on the Road Race 3rd and the winner was a Ferrari that cost a fortune. But I waxed the ZR-1.
Cool 😎 . Congratulations on getting it back together !🎉 the only thing I noticed was using the cam button on a non roller cam . And did you install the rockers with the flats down on the head side ?
I had to run to O'Reilly's 3 times today and get parts for the Chevelle's motor and it's really really louder than before without the blower. Jesse and Nathan and Cash helped him with it. And they had it running in a few hours. I was in the kitchen when it roared to life. They was adjusting the timing and got it zeroed in. My grandma was like WTH you got a drill in the motor and Jesse said priming the oil through the motor and she was like that's strange. I caught her googling it and watching a video on RU-vid. She was happy hearing it run. She was like now u can put the hood back on. And that's what the boy's did and we went riding around town. Then went to church and came home and they finished rebuilding the transmission in the Harley Davidson truck. And the kid's was like happy. Jesse was like happy driving and said i was like damn it rumble louder. Justin you gotta see how Jesse hits the golf balls. He hits them the same way (Happy Gilmore Does) 2nd time he hit the ball (Birdie) Jesse was like oh hell yeah. Ha ha I bet both of you wished you had that to go to the prom. Jesse and me went to the prom in the Chevelle and even went drag racing after that. It sounds good and hopefully no issues. Austin said hey dad are you going to be parking it outside of it's raining and Jesse said yeah. Unless it's to cold. We then cleaned up and took the 79 Lincoln Continental for a cruise and the kid's all went with us. It's zzzz I just realized that it's 12:05 not 11:05 gotta change the clock hanging beside the TV in our bedroom and Jesse just got up to change the time on the microwave and stove. The alarm clocks are the cellphone's and they all go off at the same time. Or my grandma wakes us up making breakfast. I think she's making waffles and scrambled eggs and supper is going to chicken enchiladas and dunno what Cash and Austin are going to be making.
