We sold at a Car Boot Sale - But how much did we make? We had a lot of stuff we needed to clear out so we decided to take it all to a carboot sale and see what we could sell, declutter and make some money at the same time.
This is a nice variation, seeing you guys selling rather than buying, although to be fair you did buy a bit as well lol. I always enjoy selling a load of old stock at a car boot!
In my experience of doing car boots, boxes of crockery tend to get ignored cos people find them difficult to carry , best to split them up wherever possible!
Nic when you said this is turning into a haul video, I laugh for 15 minutes. I love clothing so I would have been shopping too. Way to go Andrea - keep shopping. You have great taste.
I wish we had boot (trunk) sales here in the US. We have to have a garage sale which is so much work and not enough traffic. I guess we could sell at a flea market but ours is downtown and mostly vintage items. I just wanna sell the crap lying all over the house thats not worth listing!
Just a suggestion :) It would be really interesting if before you loaded your car you sat everything down and took a panoramic shot showing off everything you're going to sell at the flea market, that way we get a better idea of everything you have. And then at the end of the video when you come home and unload the remainder you can set it all down again and compare and contrast so we get a better idea of the amount of stuff you sold. I don't know, it's just something fun Id like to see, it would just be really satisfying to see the before and after you know? But if its too much trouble don't even bother lol. I just found your channel and I love the videos guys, keep up the great work!
Enjoyed watching that guys, I can never get up early enough to go to our local car boot!! But it’s spurred me on to try 😃. That tea looked like you’d literally just dipped a teabag in for a second.... eewww 😂 Love your channel btw
Really enjoyed watching that video thank you .. next time take a picture of everything set up then a pic just before you pack up .. easy way to show roughly how much you sold .
It makes me laugh what people haggle over at car boot sales. Something for £1 and somebody will offer 80p or so, it's like they're against paying full price even if that's a good price in the first place. Were you selling Duplo and buying Duplo in this video?
I have The wall, Dark side of the moon, Animals, wish you were here, the final cut, momentary lapse of reason, delicate sound of thunder, the division bell and pulse on vinyl, tape, and CD.... You can NEVER have enough Pink Floyd 😂
denham carboot is 5x the size on a hot saturday was bigger once you do see alot of the same gear all the time hook road on a summer bank holiday is very good full to the back
Hi Nick And Andrea, I’m going to a car boot this Sunday, I can’t wait So excited 😆 Love your videos, To be honest I’ve not done one, I Really feel I’m missing out, so much stuff gone to charity, Will Do one Soon Let you know How I get on xx
Hi great video. I have been watching for a while. I go around local car boots in my area and when I am out of town looking for cd's. I collect Britpop and 90's indie album's/singles. I was wondering as you go to a lot more car boots then me, if I sent you a picture would you please look out for a certain cd. I refuse to pay eBay prices for it when I find all mine in charity shops or at car boots. I am not asking to go out specifically looking for it as this is your livelly hood but to please keep an eye out for it if possible?
Every time she brought a bag of clothes back and went off, you should have hidden it and said you'd sold them already and see if she goes looking for them again.
Hey guys. Any advice on how i can get started in buying and selling. What research can i do as at the moment i look in charity shops for anything gaming related. I dont drive so bootfairs are out of the question for me.
Hi, some charity shops are good and some charity shops research the product before selling it, therefore if it’s worth a lot they will price it high. Also when your in a charity shop use the eBay barcode scanner and scan item, then click on sold and it will tell you how much that item sold for, also don’t go into a charity shop more than once a month as they will more than likely have the same stock. Charity shops won’t net you much though.
Hi. How do u manage to sell things. I have been doing a car boot each Thursday where I am and find that people just want to knock u right down on things and I say no as I selling it cheap anyway. Why can't I sell things. What happening do u think
Never sell at cheap trending prices on eBay like you would at a Boot sale/Flea market. You can make a fair amount more if you do your research. I have been buying up all the trending price items right on eBay I can find in my search and reselling then for much higher profit right on eBay again with great profit and less work.
@@NicHills Thanks for the reply. I have noticed that some trends have brought my prices down for some time when researching them. I would like to educate some new and even currents sellers out there to do their research outside of eBay on what an item sells for so they can max their profits and be more competitive. Some new sellers just sell too low and this starts a trend that others will follow and ruins it for others. For example A hot item I used to make $150 for many years regularly has been reduced to a mere $25 to $40 due to low selling price trends. There is nothing new that has replaced the item or has made it outdated.
Hi Nic & Andrea, love your videos, great inspiration to others like myself - I sell geeky clothing online through my own site and via marketplaces i.e. eBay and Amazon mostly, do you think that a car boot is a good place to sell "new" items or do you think people at car boots are just looking for a bargain and want to pay a couple of quid for something that normally sells for £10+ for example? Or do you think its just a good place to sell maybe old stock that's getting a bit dusty :-) ?
For us we use the car boot sale to clear old stock or stock with flaws or issues, basically stuff we need to move. We sell it cheap and get rid, liquidate it and reinvest in quality stock. That works for us, as for selling new stock - I really couldn't say, but people do tend to go to a boot sale to pick up things dirt cheap...
@@NicHills If only! Though your vlogs have made me want to start going to the car boots if you can get them at that price! Think I have been missing a trick.
We were clearing stuff that either is not worth selling online, has flaws or damage or is not worth the time/effort or stock that we ended up with from job lots. The stuff we are buying is stuff we can sell easily for good profit online.
Ok thank know moved to local community rehabilitation center and learning to transfer into my wheelchair and work out what extra help I need or if I can cope on myself. Got 3 orders waiting to go out from 5 weeks ago customers are happy and understanding but not sure how eBay react to late delivery of that long
