Every now and then we sell a horse. They are often in foal. And they get a foal with the new owner. In this video we go to Sanne Aukje. We sold her in 2020. She lives nearby. About 10 minutes in the car. In the meantime she has given birth to a beautiful colt. Called Meint fan de Draversdyk. We are going to see how they are doing. And they have blondy (haflinger) friends!

We try to post the videos in chronological order as much as possible. But I really want to place some more recent videos. Sorry it causes confusion. But because we made so many beautiful videos in the summer. I would like to continue to post them.

It was nice to see the countryside and to see another Stal. Yvonne spends so much time with the Friesian horses at Stal G that they are very friendly and interested in their human friends. That is a credit to her, she is great at her job. Yvonne, you are still in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are seeing real progress in healing, that always helps to keep your spirits up and stay motivated.🙏🏼👍🏻👍🏻

The drive to go see Sanne Aukje is so spectacular it is worth watching it again just to drink in the countryside. You can see the rain coming under the clouds! Sky so blue, grass so green... I have GOT to come see your country and visit everyone. Thsnk you for reposting!! You can enjoy it EVERY time just like the first time.

Yeah, this is a great, informative channel! It's hard to find horse channels that don't clickbait or make everything dramatic. If you want to find more good equestrians, may I recommend Shelby Dennis and Stephanie Prince? They deserve more recognition too.

Wow! Sanne Aukje is a few months older than me! I was born later that year, in November. Amazing. So during my time as a toddler, Sanne was somewhere in the world, being a filly. Fascinating to think about. Sanne has a lot of patience for her frisky colt! I'm pretty sure I would not have been that calm. I think he needs a tiny kick every now and then to learn how to behave. I've seen many videos where mares teach their colts to calm down after being too playful with her.

The colt was all frisky and excited and not quite sure what to do with that tickle down there. I think the foals should have some large colorful balls to play with in the pasture. I’ve seen so many different animals play with balls. Doesn’t matter. Even octopuses. I’m not kidding, they are smart. Anyway, I can understand Yvonne’s feelings of being a big part of the procreation process and becoming another “mom” for the foals.😊💕 Friesland is so beautiful rain or shine!🌧🌞

Sanne Aukje was always my favorite. I was sad to see her to be sold.. Her baby boy, well he seems like a real brat!..lol... Sanne Aukje is so beautiful..Watching this video help us to understand why the boys can not stay with the group as they get older, if this is how they are at just 3 months..lol

I don't speak your language, but I recognized "your sound" at 6:17 and it looked like that moment was when Sanne Aukje was convinced too! Your voice was higher when they were on the grass. Smell probably helped too.

Thank you for explaining about Sanne Aukje looking a bit thin. Besides her pointy hips, to me she appears to have higher withers as well. Kind of like a TB. Meint appears much friskier and outgoing then Minze Teije. More like the colts that I have seen and been around. I alway thought Minze was rather shy but maybe it was just difficult to video him acting like a colt.

She is such a pretty girl. Such a feminine face, delicate. The colt is so honery and cute. Thanks for the nice visit. Aren't Haflingers natives also? I can't quite recall for certain. I thought she was thinner but then you mentioned that she used to run a bit thin when she was with you. I wonder how many more babies she will have? What age are colts able to father babies? Meint is certainly an active young fella, quite boisterous. They all have different personalities for sure.

Yes, perhaps Sanne is not an "easy keeper". But I'm always concerned to see a thinner brood mare. Having foals every year and lactating takes alot of body energy from them.

Sanne Aukje ster (Tije 401 x Jilles 301) (July 1, 2005) Meint fan de Draversdyk (Julius 486 x Tije 401) (May 19, 2020) It looks as if Tije 401 is the father of both, this mare and her son......am I reading this correctly?

Lisa Hawkins Tije 501 is Sanne Aukje’s sire Julius 486 is MEINT’s father,the reason you see Tije 501 after both their names is because that’s his grandfather(Sanne Aukje’s sire)that’s why theres 2 different stallions names/numbers next to a particular mares name.(so no,mom & son don’t share the same sire)With Friesian’s having a very limited genetics early on(only 3 approved breeding stallions)great care is taken to avoid inbreeding and only approved KFPS studbook stallions can sire foals and each candidate has to go through an extensive screening process which not all horses pass.

@@shannondominguez9725 I just learned something new today. So the Sire of Mient is Julius 486, but the Sire of Sanne Auke is Tije 401, which makes sense since 401 is older than 486. Do I understand this correctly? Then listed for Mient is his father and his mother's Sire, not his father's Sire. Correct? So now the next question. Jilles 301 is the father of Sanne Auke's mother or Sanne Anke's father? (Sorry for so many questions.)

@@lisahawkins6824 Yes you are correct Julius 486 is MEINT’S father and Tije 401 is Sanne Aukje’s father as far as I understand it the horses listed are the sire of the colt/filly and then the sire of the foals mother so that foals grandfather,Ill have to see what other info I can find about it as this is all bits & pieces I’ve picked up from Yvonne’s videos. Each number a stallion is given after he becomes approved for the studbook marks the “spot”if you will of that horses place in the registry so Tije 401 is the 401st stallion to be approved Jasper 366(sire of Eefje fan e Goengamieden Uniek’s daughter)366th stallion to be approved & Tjebbe 500 is the 500th stallion to receive that distinction and it goes on from there,(Tjebbe 500 is the sire of the foal Uniek is currently carrying)I hope I’ve explained this in a way you can understand trust me I’m n expert with these things and I still have more to learn but I do my best.😊❤️

I love Sanne Aukje. She has such beautiful eyes that express the wisdom of her years. And, her colt looks so big and healthy. She is a good mom, and helped show Jonah Rein's Mom the ropes since she was a first time Mom and their foals were the youngest two that year. The two foals became fast friends. Since you used to get horses pregnant, Sanne Aukje may have thought, "There's that Yvonne, every time she comes around, I get pregnant." I'd run too. But, she gave in and came to you because she recognized your kindness. I hope you will visit her again in the future.

Lovely visit! I just recently saw Sanne in the Stal G arena with beautiful then-baby Klaske 😊. She's a beautiful mare. And she did remember you and come over for a Hello.❤ Meint here hasn't even lost all his foal coat yet but is already so big and feisty! 😅 Those blondies are gorgeous too. Blonde foal decided to start something with Meint but I think Meint came out ahead. That tail-biting move, 😆

Soo lovely when she eventually recognised you and came to say hello 💞😁💞 When you were getting a close up of her white moustache she suddenly stopped chewing, and for a split second it looked as if she was saying" Yvonne what are you doing ? I remember the video where they brought Sanne Aukje to her new home. It felt a little sad then, so it's nice to see her all settled in with her foal. What an awesome moment when she clearly remembered Yvonne! And that colt is something. Very handsome, but very full of himself. That bit at the end where he grabbed the other colt's tail was so interesting. I can see why they separate colts from fillies fairly early.

Love that you filmed the trip out there. Your streets are so different. The lines are along the edges instead of down the middle and no stop signs at the intersections. Maybe that's just because you aren't in a town and they just trust you will check for traffic. Still I would love to see more videos of the countryside. It's so beautiful there!🚙💙

Yeah cities do have stop signs but on the country it's usually just "person on your right first" as no signs are really needed.

Reminds me when we could drive around the country roads here in Yorkshire in the UK |Before Lockdown. Our county flag is a white rose Yorkshire is a truly lovely place if you like rural countryside great place to grow up. For a young colt he is very big he is going to grow up to be a fine stallion seeing the colts playing and teasing each other was a very cute sight.

Have been following Tara channel from Yorkshire, near St.Gregorys . Very lovely place indeed. Have enjoyed seeing the countryside from horseback, which is even better than by road imo.

Hi Tom, I follow a Yorkshire video, some of the most beautiful equine and riding territory in the world, imo. As well as in Friesland's vast emerald pastures with their thunderous cloudscapes !
