Thank you! We did have a part time team on content/design/marketing and another full time team member on engineering (but we never quite figured out how to film everyone lol). Though I didn't write any code so you're right it was just two developers

Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!

This is what makes America so great. The opportunity for young, hard working engineers to build products that people actually want, and the environment to bring them to life. These are the stories that need to be pushed out to the rest of the world so we can keep attracting the best and brightest.
Depending on how much they sold to the original Angels and VC, they probably made anywhere from 10-50% of that before taxes split amongst the shareholders (the first employees probably got shares as well). So probably somewhere in the realm of 0.5-3 million per person overall. Not bad.

Not sure when we'll do another video, but in general I'd say there was no obvious interest/demand from our user research. Some ideas were actually decent ideas but the technology wasn't there yet to do it well

This is way too impressive not to be viral. I loved every bit of it. When I saw what the app did in the begining (home workouts) I anticipated the astounding rise that'll occour when the timeline hits the Covid lockdowns and so it did. Not just impressive but inspiring.

Great story and thanks for sharing! I understand the reasoning behind going to VCs before releasing so you could build and scale quickly, but wouldn't releasing and growing organically put you in a better place when you talk to VCs? E.g saying 'our app is getting this many users per month who are paying X amount' surely would put you in a better place than "we have an idea and we think people might like it, but we don't have much proof"
Thank you! We would definitely be in a better position to raise with traction, but funding helped accelerate things. We wanted to hire additional developers to build a better product/faster, and we needed at least some funding to get the motion capture suit, create the initial content, etc.
