@@EatbookYT Well, I have done some research on their lives in Tokyo due to my studies I will spare you the details (cliff note version, they do not have MOM like Singapore or unions like in the Western countries that protect employees). What I can share that is not as heavy is their food. Throughout Tokyo, there has been much good food, even their convenience stores and supermarket has great bentos. Family units and those singles who know how to cook will cook at home, and those who don’t will visit eateries, convenience stores and supermarkets to get bento. They love drinking there, so at night over the weekends, you will see pubs and bars packed with people. I will place my emphasis on eateries that are hidden away from those popular locations (i.e. Shinjuku, Shibuya) walk out of these areas away from the busy streets, and you will find hidden eateries and sometimes it will be way cheaper. I hope it helps. Look forward to seeing this episode and do let me know if it does happen, I have a few locations that I visit often for their food, these locations either have no tourists or very few tourists visiting them.
