Even bet like $30 on trips 30 on the ante and 30 on 6 cards for me is a losing proposition because it's either you push or lose $60 unless you hit something on the trips. In the long run, it's a losing game. To win, the ante has to double the bet on the trips that way even if you lose the trips and 6 cards you still make money instead of push.

Although the dealer would consider it a courtesy, but seems like the casino could nullify a big progressive win if it wasnt the player who put the $1 chip on the red puck?

I understand the fun of this game especially if you have friends and family playing but the odds and payouts are really bad. As long as the dealer doesn't qualify you won't win anything.
