We stayed in a Shepherds Hut

I've always wanted to do this and so glad we can now say "we've stayed in a Shepherd's Hut" :) And we definitely chose a good one! Situated in Steep in East Hampshire just over a mile from Petersfield, Steep lies at the western end of the South Downs National Park and is a pretty village. The accommodation was so peaceful and set in one of the large fields next to the owner's home. Just beautiful.

@@angelaskelton2594 Thanks for watching Angela, it was really nice there, and yes, we were made to feel very welcome with eggs for breakfast, freshly laid, and we enjoyed the meal at the pub too. I’ve always wanted to stay in a shepherds hut, so can tick it off now ✔️🥰 xx

Hi Lynn Richard and lovely Ky what a beautiful place to stay ,plenty of space for Ky to explore and the beautiful sweet peas right near to the shepherds hut. It looked so compact but comfortable, lovely place to stay. You certainly find some great places to visit and stay . Take care and best wishes ❤️ xxx

A charming way to stay in the countryside. There was a KR walk there last July, which I was very happy to do since Steep is where one of my favourite poets lived. Did you get a chance to visit the Poet's Stone? Wonderful views from there.

It was really charming Andrew and something I have always wanted to do. We didn't have time to visit anywhere in Steep as we left the hut and went straight to the Floral Fringe Fair, but we will someday 🥰

I stayed in a shepherd's hut on the Gower once and with the wood burner it was so cosy. It is kind of nice to go back to a stripped back way of life in a small space with just the basics.

@@lionelmarytravels6003 hello Lionel and Mary, thanks for watching. It’s in a village called Steep, very pretty on the West Sussex Hampshire border sort of. Yes, we keep busy, it’s the best way to be when you are able and we try to enjoy every day the best way we can. Have to make the most of the nice weather. We hope to be going to Wiltshire in the not too distant future 🤞
