Went on the last tour of the night in 2021, I caught the janitor in a picture down in his room in the basement. Caught him in the bathroom mirror, love this place so much! It is truly beautiful ❤
Me and wife stayed at a large haunted bed and breakfast in Saratoga NY and there was a snow storm so everyone else had cancelled so we were the only ones there. It was around holidays so it was pretty but def extra creepy.
Hi Jacob and Jen 😊my husband and I must go to the hotel! I read the book but have not seen the movie. After listening to you I have to watch the movie! You are a great narrator. Thank you for taking us along. 😊
I stayed in the Stanley before the renovations and it definitely had more of a creepy vibe. Glad you got to stay there! I adore Estes! Glad you’re enjoy CO! Definitely go stay at The Timberline Lodge, where the filming took place!
He did make violins. Back in the early 80s, my mother and I attended a concert in the music room of the Stanley. 2 students from university of Northern Colorado were performing with 2 of the violins he made. It was beautiful. Thank you for this video. I remember the Stanley going way back to the mid 60s. It was really grand then.
Good morning; I love you two so much. ❤. You guys are so cute together and I love Jen. She reminds me. I’m always klutzy and getting into stuff that I shouldn’t and running into things.😮🥴. I enjoy your post videos. Thank you for sharing you take care and have a great safe day. Keep up the good work.❤️🫶🏻🤠
Morning Jenny Penny and Jacob. Awesome to see you both in the video. Thanks for sharing this.🤓🤓📸✌️ The Stanley hotel would be great to see in person. I would stay overnight there, it maybe expensive for one night.
237 could be a closet or laundry room. I know in some of my college dorms, they would use higher numbers for closets, laundry, and the toilet and shower rooms in my freshman dorm (it has a weird layout)
The mini series is great definitely get a copy, I think the hotel sells copies, at least when I was there. It really features the hotel and I remember watching the series with my mom when it came out and I would dream of visiting that hotel one day. The actors who play Jack and Wendy are good, Jack isn't as intense lol.
Hey Jacob, you guys are about 45 minutes up the road from me, I'm in Loveland, Co., I don't know if u heard, the first Colorado Buc-ee's in Johnstown grand opening was yesterday, its off the I-25 and the 60, you guys should definitely check it out while you are here. I haven't been there yet, too crazy busy for me, I might go at midnight tonight. I watch you and Adam the Woo every single day.
Hello Carpet Bagger! Jenn throwing snow balls at you and you calling her mean was funny! I was laughing out loud! I have actually watched parts of the Steven King's version of The Shining mini series. Anyway You and Jenn are great together.
In the Book he hits the kid while drunk long before ever going to the hotel. The movie didn’t make him violent it is in the first few chapters of the book king wrote himself. He is just changing his story over time to hide his own issues.
I think that too. I think this story shows so much more. When people are isolated for mong periods the shadows of them selfs will show up. All those things they have pushed down will go up to the surface. I think this story showe that so well. I have a hypthesis of this movie. I see A guy who wants to give a shining. To look like a grate father, husband and writer. But he actually wants to party all night an meet other men.
Thank you Jacob and Jenn I live about 50 miles from the Stanley and have visited many times, there was only one time I felt a presence and that was in the Ball Room
🤣🤣🤣 I loved when Jen started singing “it’s Electric “, the Electric slide dance song.. lol. Hey Jacob and Jen, thank you for sharing another one of your great adventures.. creeped me out when i saw my name on the pet cemetery grave stone 😮😮
You should visit the croak Patterson mansion in Denver has a list of haunted past. We used to drive by it as kids and would always see ghost and stuff. Now it’s a bed and breakfast. Would recommend seeing if you are still in Colorado
The croquet mallet vs the ax is similar to another Steven King novel made into a movie: Misery. In the movie she wrecks dude's feet with a sledgehammer, but in the book she uses an ax to cut one of his feet full off.
How completely fun. Now I want to read the book too! I think I'd like that story better! I really love the green bathtub. I would totally fit in that thing. But spooky, and the number of people who have done weird things in that room would freak me out. I love the things in the gift shop made from the print of the movie carpet. Very beautiful place.
My wife and I stayed there 10 or so years ago and they had a channel with The Shining playing all night. Great movie to fall asleep to while we stayed there!
SO COOL!! The Shining is my favorite horror movie too! I loved the scene you guys remade 😂Jenn did a great job, but she's so sweet that even in that stern voice she is nowhere near Jack Torrance levels of mean LOL
