Saabs are super fun. I wouldnt say they are reliable but... Its always a good feeling when you fix something most shops wont even touch

There are 2 types of car guy tho, those who like looking at cars most and those who like driving most. I buy the most reliable cars possible (Aussie ford Falcons) and drive them at 10/10ths always. I don't actually like those cars, I like all the JDM heroes and certain classic cars but unless I become very rich later in life I'll probably never own anything like that again because logically I can't justify it. My first car was a skyline, I loved it but that made me not want to crash or break it and I never had any fun in it. One day, buy yourself a manual rwd car that is cheap and known for being reliable and was MASS produced in your country so parts are abundant, solid axle is best, inline 6 or pushrod V8, and ugly helps. As long as you don't care about it/like the car, you will have the time of your life and become an amazing driver in no time at all. Driving is the fun part, the car itself is pain. 😂

@@EXZACHTPERFORMANCEI’d like to call myself more of a driver car guy. Admittedly a BMW fanboy, first car 10years ago was a Manual 318ti e36 that I still have. I’ve owned two falcons, EF and BA. still have the BA and it’s on its Third Auto Trans. I honestly believe that all cars are Unreliable if you drive them hard but you’re also not rich enough to overbuild them. The thing about being passionate about cars though is that you enjoy understanding how they work and that makes fixing them way easier. Nothing better than the ability to buy a broken car, fix it yourself with a couple hundred in parts and flick it for 2 or 3 times the price. Can’t recommend cheap rwd cars enough, unfortunately manuals are overpriced but there’s now a lot of money in converting them, and pre 2000s cars are not that complicated to work on

Its not always the quality of a build that matters as much as the personality. I have a 2010 VW tiguan that I lowered, put wheels on and tuned. Everybody throws shade at my grocery getter because itll never be a “cool” car but i love my little volkswagen. It was my first car and ive had a lot of awesome memories with it and thats all that really matters at the end of the day. Enjoy what you drive! :)

Red Top SAAB B204/B234 holds ~350-400 horsepower on stock internals. (as opposed to the blacktop in Matts car which tops out at 280-ish without forged internals) @RicerMiata B204/B234 SAAB RedTop build?? 😁 Or just put big turbo, pistons and rods in the current blacktop T7 SAAB engine. and chase 500+hp (do-able as the T7 Head flows better than the T5 head even though the T7 bottom end is weaker, IIRC)
