Hi everyone! Welcome to the 1st video in a brand new series called "Spiritual Beings."

Modern Christianity's biggest downfall is moving away from the spiritual/soulful part of the Bible. We're souls with a body instead of a body with a soul. Prayer isn't suppose to be " Oh lord thanks for this food I'm hungry let's eat amen". Prayer/meditation along with reading the Bible is suppose to realign your soul/spirit with God. Through prayer you need to fulfill your spirit. The Bible talks about how important spiritual aspects of God/Jesus really are. John 4:24. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. Roman's 8:14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Ephesains 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.” There's another 20+ verses just on the spirit alone not including prayer.

Message from Tim Mackie. Eden is a high mountain garden? Yep. This idea surprised me too when I first encountered it (in the work of Jon Levenson, “Sinai and Zion”), but I then discovered it was all over the Bible, and noticed by Jewish and Christian readers for thousands of years. So, where in the Bible is Eden described this way? (1) In Genesis 2:8-14, we read of Eden as a region in which God plants a garden, and a single river flows out of the garden and then splits into four “heads.” This detail is actually quite explicit: Eden is the source of the rivers of the earth; water flows downhill, which means clearly that Eden is atop a high place. (2) In the prophets, Mount Zion (= Jerusalem/the temple) is consistently described on analogy with Eden. (a) Ezekiel 28:13-14 recalls “Eden, the garden of God” as “the holy mountain of God;” (b) Joel 2:1-3 “Zion…my holy mountain” and its surrounding land is described as “like the garden of Eden.” (3) When later biblical author envision the new Jerusalem mountain, they describe it in Eden-imagery: Isaiah 11:1-9 The messianic king will rule in the new Jerusalem, where the animals will be peace (as in Eden), “they will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain” (11:9); Ezekiel 40:1-2, Ezekiel sees the new Jerusalem which is “on a very high mountain,” and in Ezekiel 47 the temple has a new Eden-river pouring out its doors, bringing life to the new creation; Revelation 21-22 The new heavens and earth is also a new temple and a new Jerusalem (see 21:1-3) which is placed “on a high mountain” (21:10), and which is described in explicit Eden imagery (22:1-2): the river of life, tree of life, etc. As with all ideas in the Bible, themes are usually introduced in subtle and creative ways that will be developed and made more clear throughout the storyline of the Bible. This means that later recollections of a theme (Eden = high mountain in the prophets) are just as important as the first, often subtle, introduction of a theme (Eden as the source of the rivers of the earth). This is what our “Bible as Jewish Meditation Literature” is all about. Eden as the divine 'heaven and earth' mountain temple is fundamental to the coherence of the biblical storyline, and Babylon represents any and all human attempts to get the "Eden" blessing without having to trust God's wisdom.

I've watched every episode of your God series on your podcast and how you guys unravel and categories the spiritual beings and the assumed reality of the spiritual world in the biblical story! I really love to get to see the animation that plays into that 20 or so hour series! You guys have given me such a better understanding and love of biblical writing.

Absolutely love this project, guys. Your animations are just wonderful and the narration is very on point. These short videos are expertly executed to capture our short attention spans in modern life.

Wow, I mean I always love y'alls videos and the illustrations but those transitions were really fantastic. The one that really stood out was the transition from the dirty, broken crown from after the fall and turning that into the Tower of Babel as you talk about humanity still wanting to rule and take back their heavenly place on their own. The visuals and audio enhance each other so well, your team is truly gifted in communicating ideas, and I know God will continue to use that to bless people.

They are very informative and bring new perspectives to Christianity a lot of people don't think about.
