Vermont is nice if you're a pilgrim otherwise it sucks. Its beautiful, dont get me wrong, but the roads are shit, its so dark at night, its snow like Colorado and EVERYTHING there closes early. My favorite part of going there is when I leave.

Don’t go on I-40 from Vegas towards Arizona…your build will fall apart lol it’s so awful! Also, you’re going to learn that promasters are notorious for micro cracks in the coolant reservoir. Might have to get an aftermarket one or use jb weld to seal them. It’s also recommended to use tow/haul 100% of the time when you have a build, to make your transmission last longer.

Funny as always. Tip, your sunshade looked very even. That is ok as long as you lower one stand so that water can run. Otherwise rain can build a waterbag and damage your sunshade. Don't ask how I know that 🙃Not funny

Firstly, THANK YOU for being a channel member here! You don't know how much that means to us. I don't say that lightly. We get to do what we do because of the support of awesome people like you. Second. We will definitely be driving through Connecticut but we are running out of time to do much because we have some stuff planned with some family members. We will do our best to enjoy that pizza if we have time FOR SURE. It sounds amazing and with us not having an oven in the van, we've been itching for some good pizza :)

Brian, why the aversion to using your own van shower? What is your take now that you've been on the road? Too low of ceiling in there? The 24" dimension too tight? I am kind of a bigger guy too and we are actually picking up our Promaster today here in Michigan which we're doing a build on and the 24" just seems way too tight for a shower. Obviously space and inches are precious though. I get it. Dan

Its mostly just water conservation to be honest. Since we haven't been on the road super long we are still learning how far we can go with what. We can last about 3 weeks+ with our 32 gallon tank if we both shower twice. So we really only use it when we have to. I will say if I did it again, I would 100% still put it in. Its so nice when you need it to be there. I dont like leaving water in the tank for 3 weeks so we will probably start using it more often. We have a lot of hair so we use a lot of rinse water :)

Also, the 24" width is pretty good. I wish I had more length because its tight showering with the toilet in there as well. If I had more ambition I would remove it to shower but Im too lazy lol

@@LifeontheBlacktop Have you found it difficult to find spots to refill the fresh tank while on the road? That might be an interesting thing to touch on in a vid. I know we can't be the only ones and would be very interested to know your take on it and any "pro tips". I don't remember but do you guys have the ability to just dump your grey while going down the road or while over a storm drain in a parking lot with push of a button and no hose hook up, etc? That is my plan and we have all biodegradable soaps etc so we won't feel guilty 🙂 I have ordered a Thetford cassette potty but we have one at our cabin and are used to it. It will be easy to lift and set outside shower area and has no connections. It doesn't smell and is not a big deal to empty in a public restroom (or the woods if absolutely necessary). Was only about $130

Not yet for the fresh water because we’ve had places to fill (friends and campgrounds) but eventually I think we will have to figure that out. We do have the ability to dump gray water with the flip of a switch inside (valterra valve) but haven’t yet. We’ve always found ourselves close to a place to dump and do when it’s available.

Great video My wife likes driving and is a crappy navigator. So on road trips same thing when when we are on the road. Plus I am better at keeping my mouth shut! Why do men always get a honey do list and not the wife.
