Yea for some home comforts! It’s only when your on the road you realise what you miss! Also soo looking forward to new projects they sound awesome. Awesome video as always 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I was a waitress on a tiny island once and had a bucket and a hose to wash myself and my things. When I then went to a house with a shower and hot water my mind was blown.
I also would like to see through your eyes the place you are staying apparently there is Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town 🤗 Don't work to hard & enjoy every moment. Take care and stay safe 🤗
Beauty of owning a van over a house is you can stay where you want for how long you want..the ultimate in freedom, which is what vanlife is all about. Look forward to your projects and future vids..
I think you are smart to go out on weekends. Though you went to van life by choice, staying in that much room for 3 months might make the adjustment tough when you move back in the van. "How did we make all of our clothes into THAT!?". Not that the struggle is the end of the world, it will just help keep away the grumpiness with each other and avoid disarray. I hope you get EVERYTHING on your list done, start two unplanned projects and have THOSE done before you head back out again!
Hi Russ hope you’re all Ok. Really interesting video. We were looking at retiring and travelling before the whole covid and are now planning fingers crossed next year. I am really interested in Georgia as a destination to spend some time with the visa length. I would be really interested in costs for your flat, food, bills, fuel and what just ordinary day to day life is like in Georgia there is not a great deal of information out there on it so look forward to following your adventures. All the best.
Don't blame ya pal. Bit of time out sorts you out for a fresh start now and again. Be nice to breathe again without worrying where you're gonna park up for the night etc
I write copy for a company selling actionsport equipment and do some social media updates for the same company. Won’t get rich any time soon, but nice to have something to do as a routine 5 days a week one or two hours a day.
Wonder how long it will take before you both get itchy feet?? Nice having all the luxuries of a house whilst you catch up on work. Guess you need to find that way of making money but not having to work. Work that hateful 4 letter word gets in the way of fun. When you do have a bit of time can we have a bit of an idea of how much you spent doing 3 months in Greece, then 3 months in Turkey. Nice to compare and contrast . Looking forward to seeing more of Georgia and hearing about life there as not a place I think many of us brits would think of going. Have fun the 4 of you. Emma
We have moments when we have pure meltdowns due to issues related to our businesses. Stupid stuff like lack of wifi and poor phone signals and we are in the UK haha. Last year I lost around £45k in revenue due to missed phone calls. But yeah before we hit the road I would take between 22 to 26 jobs per week. On the road I take around 7 per week. It's a massive loss. But we chose a life of less stress and Jilly works a few days to make fun money and my money goes to savings. However in the winter I smash it, 3 months of no sleep haha. But totally get it. Enjoy guys - Stevie & Jilly 🤙😁
@@TheNomadicVeteran no worries. Yeah we have 3 locksmiths running and when the phones go dead they don't make money either so we have that added stress. I did a full website update yester and booked in 5 jobs today and 4 for tomorrow. My big thing is a also teach Locksmithing. I have people from the likes of the council who have 30 members of staff need training or 10 here and 8 there. I don't even add that money up. If I did I may just cry. Definitely one of the best ways to do this lifestyle is to have a business you can outsource your work. This gives us the freedom to wander. But as for the phone signal. O2 is a no go in Cornwall. Says 4G but can't even make a call or access the Internet. It really makes Jilly stressed as all the work mounts up and invoice needs to be done, payments sent etc. We also dealing in real time with police and council or solicitors for evictions to people locked in or out. So the signal has to be good as our clients need us. Crazy thing that's just one business. I then have the tour guiding business, the outdoor education one and the surf school. It's nuts 😂.
Brilliant! I know when I went from the van to a small old house - I felt like a millionaire: running water, space, electricity, gas, heat, wifi etc. It is incredible how pampered and spoilt we are and many don't even realize that everyday things are true luxuries! What brand is that pull up station?
