Can one contract any diseases from a nasty dirty Jeep? Asking for a friend. We take delivery of the insurance auction 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport LJ! What do you think? Please comment below!
Just give it a good detail, clean and paint the frame and lower it 2 inches and fall in love with it. Love the white. My 3 kids each have a white jeep and dad is the black jeep of the family.
Its crusty, but not as bad as I have seen Missouri Jeeps to be! I sure am glad that it wasn't a rotten egg for you. The inside is disgusting, though, lol. The place where people spend the most time should always be the cleanest in my opinion (even if it is a Jeep). I know you will clean it all up and make it nice, so I would say that you got a decent LJ at a decent value! Awesome find!
Thanks so much! Yeah it’s not as bad as it could have been. I saw one this last week for sale and the drivers framerail had about an inch of material holding it together in one spot. :(.
I'm looking forward to a mild build series from you . I would definitely build it if it were mine. It should clean up pretty well with some elbow grease . Keep it Derek , just my two cents. Take care my friend.
Yeah that's definitely not the worst repo i have ever seen. Going to be some good work to be done before its ready for the road but with the lack of true rotting frame style of rust I think you have one with some good bones. And let's face it, if a Wrangler has good bones you can pretty much go as deep as you want to go with it and you will be fine. I am looking forward to seeing your next steps in this project. Besides a closed rear window an a LOT of vacuuming!
IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN 3 FEET OF WATER TO ME / IF SO ,BETTER GET A HOLE NEW WIRE SET UP AND NEW COMPUTER AND CHECK F THE REAR END AND TRANS FOR WATER
Based on the cobwebs and leaves it looks like it had been sitting for some time. I don’t see any evidence of water damage - plus the auction identified as a repo.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TRY TO FIND OUT WHO HAD IT BEFORE YOU AND FIND OUT WHY THEY GOT RID OF IT / WAS IT A INSURANCE JOB / OR STOLEN OR WHAT EVER THAT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MAYBE LOTS OF MONEY , I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR A LONG TIME NOW / GOOD LUCK
It was a repo - I assume someone wasn’t making payments? Not sure carfax nor the auction will tell you the circumstances in the case of a repo unfortunately.
SLOW DOWN WITH BUYING THE GOODIES SPENDING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD / FIRST FIND OUT WHY NO ELECTRICS / THEN CHECK EVERY IN THE DRIVE LINE MOTOR TRANS FRONT AXEL AND REAR END AND TRANSFER CASE / A LOT OF WORK AHEAD OF YOU
