For everyone commenting about tire PSI and spotting: Tires were at 10psi, could have been lower for sure, and Doug cannot hear us while wearing the helmet (which is required on all demo agreements). Plus, videos of people screaming "DRIVER!! PASSENGER!!" aren't fun to watch anyways.
Keep up the good work. You guys are killing the heck out of it! Love seeing KRX footage. It’s good to see other people take a machine through it’s paces before you go out and spend big bucks it so as to make a more informed decision. Thanks guys!
Hi dudes, I have been using these sort of ropes for 43 years, first time i was running a tug boat and the ropes were up to 3 inches thick and for 4wheeling i used a one inch "snap rope". I have pulled a bus out of a snowbank with my f350 diesel crew cab 4x4 so they are really tough. I use steel shackles to hook up but i see those use a knot type shackle, you could have doubled back to the Kawi if you had a ball joint on the other SXS to protect from cutting or you need another shackle, i also always keep a shive {pully} so i can pull at an angle and still get the stuck vehicle moving straight. awesome video guys
You all took it to the best rock crawling place you knew off. I know rock crawling is not your cup of tea but you proved that the machine would rock crawl under tough conditions. Great job.
Mad props for even attempting the tubes. I’ve been there several times and would never think of trying those in a sxs. That is def set up for jeeps. That rope is awesome.
With a few mods I think that would be a great crawler but not bad right out of the box. Thanks for the video gives us a chance to see what you get off the show room floor . Hope you’re thumb is better Nick.👍👍😂😂 Take care and stay safe can’t wait for the next one.
We have the same rope in our group, Yank um provided one to my buddy The Ca-Cajun. We have used it to pull a semi truck out with a D4 dozer they are strong as they come.
Was fun to see the KRX out and about. I think Kawasaki has a decent starting point, this as a "base" model", then start powering it up for the west coast folks. Rumors are starting to fly about more models with geared transmissions, we shall see. That yankum rope is on my wish list. Need two, one for the SXS and one for the bigger stuff.
Anyone that has watched for a while knows if Doug is driving it everything on the car has been gone over twice he takes pride in what he does and the machines he drives he has been doing this stuff long before youtube
I was sold on a x3 RC....until I learned that they have a weak front end that will run you about 2Gs to upgrade..... now I’m looking at a KRX which seems bulletproof....and appears to be the best crawler in the market...
That's impressive! Love your videos keep up the great work. Graves has a new exhaust from the header all the way back. It requires a tune and Rraves works directly with Kawasaki to get the right tune. The new exhaust weighs less than half of the stock. Both combined are said to give between 20 and 22 horse power. It also comes with a delete tune and stalled for the governor. I thought this would be cool to see you guys put it to the test. Also curious about your input on the graves exhaust.
Mike Desilets cool I was just curious I’m still a little hesitant to go really hard with my xx but I’ve had great luck so far and I’m not that easy on it.
Doug where's the helmet from storming Normandy?I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that's the official Doug helmet from now on .Don't disappoint! If Doug had the Normandy helmet on he would have made it over those rocks no problem 😂🇺🇸 🖒
Nice some KRX action hopefully you'll turbo the talon soon as well since its out also like to see some yamaha wolverine stuff and teryx utility also 1000 pioneer be nice
If You watch Matts Off Road Recovery he uses those ropes for every recovery. You gotta hit HARD with them but the stretch of the rope makes it pretty easy in the equipment.
Bigger tires lower psi should help, but I'm sure you guys know that. Might be worth doing some sort of comparison, helps notice the differences between SXS's. Also might be worth doing some sort of "decathlon" type even where the SXS's have to compete at various events and get an overall score, but might require stock units.
your spotting was terrible. How many times does Doug have to say I can't see $hit before you guys start helping with spotting. Doug had a ton of patience, I would have lost my $hit.
send mud life up that thing. with the ground clearance it has that would be interesting to see. it would be very tippy since it is top heavy, but i bet it would just crawl right over it.
@@screamneagle8420 totally agree if you guys need help let us know i've been through a what they called 100 year flood and it was not great getting to my house by boat for 3 weeks
Holy hell dudes I hope your all doing ok, I have been watching the flooding in Michigan isn`t that your State, and i remember the pumping job you had on Battle dads property last year so really hope his place is ok.
With a driver that knows basic rock crawling and less air in the tires the result would be much better........... I live in Moab, Utah and the rental companies switched to the KRX heavily this year, they do great on the red rocks.
You guys should just make this into a second to main channel. Plug the parts on it, but also do vlogs and quick vids. Also promote this more on main channel!
Can't believe the toxic comment's in here right now...everyone take a breath...good vid...would like to have seen how one of the x3s did...did you guys run one up those rocks too?
Did you guys adjust the suspension on that thing yet it seemed pretty out of wack on that ride and I've been hearing everyone has been having to adjust their suspension
Michigan isn't exactly the Rock Crawling mecca of the world, that said, it looked like the machine is very capable with a crew who had the experience to tackle a technical trail.
