I think misogyny that still present in society could have something do to with her deep depression. She mentioned feeling like she mattered less the older she got. Which is how a lot of women feel even at young ages as in their 20’s and 30’s

She lived a very exciting and eventful life! She hid everything better than I could ever dream of doing, if I had been dealing with emotions as heavy as she. Cheslie was a very strong woman. Very determined and sure of her intentions. She was very focused and walked in the power of self determination. I still respect her. I refuse to look or “feel some kind of way” towards her because of her decision to exit the planet like she did. I celebrate her life and the fact that she is now at peace. She accomplished so much in this lifetime! Rest In Peace, the great Cheslie Kryst! ❤️✨

Having depression doesn't mean you never have genuinely happy moments. She may have had many happy moments, but they wouldn't have erased the chemical imbalance in her brain causing her to feel low and hopeless overall. Eventually, she would return to reality with untreated or uncontrolled depression. Also, yes, it's been 2 years since this video, and she was at the height of success here. It's not hard to believe that she may have been really happy here. A lot may have gone on since then.

I actually watched this episode. She seemed happy and full of joy. We just never know what a person is going through. I pray stigma stops so we can prevent and help amazing people heal and learn to cope with this illness , she is more than that one choice, she was a successful woman that achieved alot despite her struggles, May God comfort all the survivor moms that lost their childs like this and all the survivors loved ones , its a very difficult grief so hard 😢❤🙏🏻

This is really sad and heartbreaking news to hear that Cheslie Kyrst passed away. 😢💔 I can only imagine what her family is dealing with losing such a special person in their lives. In 2019, she was one fifth of a historic win with five black women sweeping all five major beauty pageants crowns: Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Universe, and Miss World, and Miss Teen USA. As Miss USA, Cheslie Kyrst helped to inspire millions of young girls to see themselves as both beautiful and intelligent. She was definitely the embodiment of sophiscation, elegance, and grace. May She Rest With GOD in eternal peace. I send ALL my prayers and condolences to her family and friends. The LEGACY she left will continue to live on for many more young girls to follow. She will be ALWAYS loved and GREATLY missed. 🙏🏿❤🕊 May the GREAT and LEGENDARY André Leon Talley Rest With GOD in eternal peace.
