Good that someone is covering Bhatkali Cuisine. You should have some of the Desserts in Bhatkal. A friend of mine from Bhatkal was planning to do a series of Vlogs on Bhatkali cuisine.
Do learn our konkani names of fish, it's different then mangalore, mumbai compared to KARWAR, GOA. Example KAANE is NOGLI, ANJAL is ISONE, BONDASS is NUCHKA
Before the advent of online booking and information overload, guess till around 2010, Gokarna used to b one of the hidden gems, lots of foreigners esp Israelis. The paradise beach was really a paradise. It used to b a world away from the mundane existence, it’s lost its charm but still worth a visit
Totally agree with you. I used to visit Gokarna every year as a part of my school trip. I feel so sad to see the current state of that place. Lost its serenity due to extreme commercialisation of almost everything
Finally u done it sir. Being Bhatkal guy I feel proud 2day. Next time pls come 4 full episode. Better u should also visit Summer hotel , al Khaleej restaurant along with quality hotel.
Firstly, welcome to Bhatkal and we are glad you all enjoyed! That fish in the bryani is known as Cobia in English. Thanks to ‘Freshtohome’ 😊 We in Nawayathi call it as Madhoso! In Hindi/Urdu its known as Suchal. Thank you!
Whenever you visit KARWAR try seafood at AMRUTH, veg food at POURNIMA(Gobi manchuri, gadbad), snacks at MARUTI(Vada pav) , SHRUTI SAGAR special Pav bhaji.
Curry leaves is definitely an integral part. I was in Chennai back in 2013 and quite a novice rider and an equally novice food lover, I ordered tandoori chicken and it came tempered with curry leaves and mustard seeds with gunpowder on the side 😂 I guess the chef was feeling quite adventurous when came up with the variation.
The best part in small restaurants is that no matter how complicated or big the order is they usually never write it down and the food arrives perfectly on time ..
Guys, Rashid bhai is one of the nicest person in town and their delegacy of bhatkal biryani has been from 6 decades. I have been grown up watching him. Talking about the food varieties of bhatkal, I wouldn’t have enough words to write down in this comment box. We have a lot of untold history about bhatkal town. The place where I was born.. Love my place .
I’m glad you had a good experience at Kwality, contrary to what I thought. Next time you are in Bhatkal, please do reach out and we will make sure you have ten times the better experience.
Riding with buddies to a great place to eat, whether it’s a diner or roadside dive, is one of the greatest things in motorcycling. Sharing the experience, on the road, then sharing stories over great food, is camaraderie at its best. 😉 Take care, stay safe, and happy safe riding, Amigo! 😊
After watching your so Many other vlogs finally you came to our home town.. I hope next time you visit other popular restaurants too.. Its authentic and local..
Kripalji u Madr yet another food review in Batkali briyani with ur friend u always speaks ur mind honestly. I tell u Batkal is famous for Biriyani u rock again dear
Few points for your next Bhatkal visit: 1. Try breakfast, lunch and dinner at different Nawayath homes and Mutton biryani at a wedding. It will blow your senses. They have over 100 breakfast dishes with influences from all over India. 2. Try Saraswat food at few homes. You don't get the best local food in the restaurants 3. Kwality Hotel don't keep the mutton biryani from the beginning just to avoid even one percent doubt on getting mixed with beef or buffalo meat. 4. Visit few good bakeries and try snacks and shakes. 5. Arabic influenced dishes are in. You may try few in recently opened restaurants.
Thanks for visiting Bhatkal. There are lots of flavoursome recipes worth exploring with unique delicacies but you wont find them at hotels. It will be best if you will make a full episode on Bhatkally foods.
It's Called as Navayathi biriyani . Bhatkal Anjal or King fish fry is famous . Bhatkali Muslims are called as Navayath . They speak konkani with Sanskrit mix -language . Lifestyle is very different than other Muslims of India .
@@QueenGurmehar This place is also known to communal tension . Police always alert here also for Karachi link to Bhatkal . Bkatkali navayaths have migrated from Karachi long before . Still few blood relatives live there . Partition made them impossible to visit their knowns .
@@ravip1849 beside we nawithis of Bhatkal is also famous for hospitality and brotherhood among all.Allhmdullilah people of all community live peacefully here..our brothers are always ready to help others in any emergency situations anytime ,any were .. Festival of all the religion is celebrated here .. very cooperative people .. very safe place for women ..heinous crime rate is very very low .. proud to be a bhatkallian
Proudly our place..😍 Uttara Kannada..!! About a fish.. Modsa is a Konkani Name & local calls it as 'Kurudi Meenu' in Kannada. I find Sea-Pearch is of a similar family but what we get in our town is very tasty. May be coz its from mix-water (sangama).
Try CHONAK, PAALU,, TAAMBUS, MODSO FISH in our UTTARA KANNADA District . You won't find them in mangalore especially Crab curry, prawn curry, squid manchurian, kalva sukka, mori dry fry, is heaven...
Sir, all r class people, eating quality Biriyani in hotel quality. For u curry leaf’s attracted more. V had 15 guys fighting to c mountains, rivers , thick forest from 1975 to 1993. Now V r enjoying retired life.

29:14 Aah I was so much hoping towards you taking that right towards Sirsi. But never mind. Nice to hear that you plan to come back to this route again. Please make sure to visit Sirsi as well. We would be eagerly waiting for you.✨
@@VigneshKamat Then why don't you tell me what so special about Sirsi cuisine. I have lived 20 years in Sirsi but there is not a single hotel which has a good biryani.
@Kripal sir with every vlog this series is going to next level really enjoyed the way you savoured different types of biryani especially prawn and fish biryani both were droolworthy...I liked the way you are enjoying every moment with your friends especially the way you ate together and then it's a tedious task to ride after savouring a nice biryani but you did it with ease with your friends eagerly waiting for next one
Kripalji, feeling great that today m in first 50 to like n 3rd to comment. Kripalji, your way of eating n making viewers understand what the dish is all about has no comparison with any one. U are such a genius in tasting n expressing through your facial expression 👍👌👌👌👌. Simply great.
@draco Don't tell me what to do...My experience maybe different than yours...Keep your opinions to yourself...Don't expect all the ppl to follow you...
Never been to Gokarna. Hope i have spelt it correctly. My parents have been and my sister has been. Heat in india tires me out, sadly. My advanced age, i think😊😊
Today one can get water proof trousers, tops, water proof boots, water oroof everyrhing. My son was in the duke of edinborough programme and he was able to get water proof everything. These are available only in stores that cater for outdoor activities.
