@@Chad76Media hi Adam 'Chad' Child, I am 5'6 .... looking for my 4th bike (white color), ... have acquired 3 White bikes in 2 years, 2020 KTM 390 Duke, 2021 Triumph Trident-660, & 2022 Gen 3 Hayabusa, ... was now considering Desert-X (white) or Hypermotard or Diavel 1260 V2 as my next .... leaning more towards Desert-X (seat height of 875mm can be reduced by lowered suspension kit, that makes it 845mm), ... whereas Hypermotard is 890mm, and not in white (have to get it painted), plus it gives the same vibe as my 390 Duke. Supersport is a sport-tourer like my Busa, and Panigale V2 also feels similar, so not thinking of those two. Diavel is again not available in white, is big like my Busa with similar engine size but different engine configuration (inline-4 versus V2) ... so, should I go with the Desert-X ? ... lastly, there's one final option left, HD Fat Boy 114 (1868cc air-cooled V2, 675mm seat height). What I love about Diavel & Fat Boy is the 240mm cross-section rear tyre. thanks for all your brilliant reviews
This or the Hyper SP and why, please compare and contrast….and should a person go for the Street Triple instead ;) at least one inquiring mind wants to know.
Hi Hugh - it's a very close call and will come down to personal preference plus how/where you'll ride it. They have identical engines, gearboxes, even ratios and front/rear sprockets but the Hyper has a much higher seat height (c.50mm I think) and longer wheelbase. Oh, and a £2k higher price tag. It'll be the more raucous and entertaining but might not be as comfortable over longer distances. Chad's ridden the new Street Triple (review should be out tomorrow) so I'll ask him for his thoughts... Cheers, Michael M
@@bennettsbikesocial The Triumph wins the power test, much more performance and torque. I'd guess the Triumph would lap faster than the Monster, reasonably easy. The Ducati is a little smaller, lighter and possibly easier to live with. Both looks and sound great, but the RS was very impressive on track. Hopefully we can get them all together for a group test with the KTM and Yamaha
Looking at the street triple rs it has this beat hands down and it's cheaper. Chuck another £1500 into a budget and you are looking at the much more desirable streetfighter v2 and so many others. It's a very nice bike but just far to expensive given the choice in the naked market.
new pussied out "monster?". not really not anymore. got some torque I guess but slow top end. if u painted over the red maybe Id like it betta, but oya- I just remembered- ducshiti is top of my "never-buy" list.
