We Tested The NUX B-7PSM Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System Live. Here's What We Learned. 

I went to return mine yesterday for the same reason but i learned if you use them in a mix the static becomes unnoticable. Not suitable for a bedroom guitarist playing to themselves

@@dystortia6626 Tried with a band and still with all the instruments in the mix, the high frequency noice persists and is notisable. Was struck by how good for the money the c-5rc is and how bad is the iem unit :)

Sorry to hear you had issues with the unit and seems like few others have had those as well. The unit we tested worked without issues and Mikko is still using it live. I wonder if it has something to do with frequency localisation or something.

@@MykolaBakay only you can hear the static and its price you pay if you want wireless monitors/headphones. try playing a song off youtube through them and you will hear they sound fine for what they are. also make sure theyre charged up.

I would only buy these if it had some volume control on the device. It’s hard to get a tech to adjust when you’re live and don’t have access to the mix

Hmm that's strange. We tested this system in several different places and had no issues.

@@CatPickStudios maybe it depends on version of hardware. I have pcb released in 2022. Problem very visible on clean tones. And less visible in full mix with bass, drums guitars etc

It sure is.

All of the wireless units will add some delay, but it's hard to say whether it would be distracting and something you wouldn't get used to. I don't recommend using more than one wireless system in your signal chain, but with one you should be fine.

@@andresaries2850if your transmitter is analog, there will not be any delay. If all of them are digital, though, I felt it after 3 devices, 2 was my limit

Based on our tests there was no lag/delay that would have been noticeable.

I have one of these. There’s no perceivable delay. It’s a great unit

Can you specify what doesn't work? It's hard to understand what the issue is.

@@MeesterJoey cutting in and out. I literally had the receiver next to me. I tried everything they suggested. Having the receiver at the same height as the transmission. They were NEVER consistent. I read a lot of reviews with people having the same issue. I hope they come out with a new version of them. I would definitely try them. These are great in concept but are not acceptable for actual live stage use yet.

Sorry to hear that. What were you plugging into? Is there any other pieces of gear in the signal chain that might have caused the issue?

@@CatPickStudios Hello, I tried many alternative ways. I connected it to line 6 helix, connected it to the aux output of the midas mixer, connected it to the xr 18 aux and headphone output, applied the necessary db settings, tried many different ways, but all the results were bad.

@@okanguvenn Hey man, what if i run this on my mixer and just use WAV tracks instead?

I have to agree. Sound quality is poor. I own one, but can’t use it.

Same results for me. Will be returning the unit shortly
