No that’s the seal from the clear part of the headlight to the main housing. It’s a toss up if you’re going to get that condensation, but the LEDs don’t have anything to do with it.

I had to add a decoder too, for my high beam, but I leaved it outside of the dust cover, because there was no room for it. It was a few months ago and it's working just fine. Is there a problem leaving it outside the dust cover?
What do I need to upgrade my truck headlights to leds. I have a 2010 ram 1500 want some decent led lights around $300. And the lights on it now I think are just stock
I purchased 2 stroke 3.0 9005 bulbs for my 18 ram they fit with out the duat cover and will not fet with a bigger cover!? So i purchased head light bulb extension its a rubber Extension that goes on to dust cover. So will see if that works next. Let me know if you guys have any other ways For installation on these bulbs.

Interesting. I purchased the morimoto 2stroke 3.0s from what I believe is your sister company (retrofit source) and they did not fit in my 2016 Ram even with the extended dust covers. Wound up returning them and ordered the diode dynamics sl1.
Eh who needs dust covers, as long as the bulbs seal well to stop moisture getting into the housing ur good. Most LED bulbs, if built well, should withstand being used in the elements. I had some Hikari 2020s in my semi truck for the last year and the back of the bulb where the fan and heat sink sit is exposed to all elements , it is not covered by anything… it’s been through salt spray, water, mud, dust, bees wings from harvesting corn , driving on very dusty fields, dirt roads… they haven’t skipped a beat Even as I noticed some of the tiny screws Have rusted..
@@MXvsATV144 you have never seen the inside of a ram projector everything is exposed without the dust cover and you’ll get full blown condensation immediately
@@contagiousingenuityagency5273 I personally have the DDM Tunning 55watt V2s 4500K edition and I love them. The color is OEM HID and are phenomenal in inclement weather.
