Tiffin are great for customer service. I hope now that THOR has bought Tiffin it doesn't get bad, like THOR customer service. THOR is all about saving money for the bottom line.
My neighbor has had many class A diesel pushers, and their latest one is a Tiffin Allegro Bus as well. His assessment on Tiffin was that “it’s not necessarily built better then some of the rest, but their service is second to none. They get u fixed. Their bus was out of warranty on some issue, and Tiffin still fixed it for free. That’s a big A+ right there when choosing who you’re going to give your money to when deciding on a manufacturer.
Congrats on your Tiffin! It just goes to show more expensive isn't always better. Quality responsive service is every bit as important as the quality of the initial build.
So happy for you guys! Apparently your owed a great experience. Congrats and looks forward to your videos on your traveling experiences vs. Your repair issues. Enjoy your Tiffin!
Just stumbled upon your channel and have been enthralled with your journey. I admire your can do attitude and grit to stick with RVing after all you've been through. We have had no issues with our Newmar purchased new from the factory in 2018 other than a clothes washer replaced under warranty. I understand that most people have had good luck with Tiffen also so hopefully your experience should change for the better.
Watched this video, again, after going back and watched the other nightmare videos! Sooooo happy you guys are in a Tiffin! You were giving us chest pains! Happy Holidays and safe and healthy travels! We have a 2015 Tiffin 33aa. Brendan & Lena Muddy Sneakers, Pa.
God bless both of you you certainly had major challenges with your other RV hopefully you’re on a new path To happiness again enjoy and God bless you both
Stumbled upon you guys, very informative and obviously unbiased! I'm pretty sure you slide outs cabinets that you bent the handle (8:30) has a pneumatic lock on it. Couldn't tell for sure but there should be a button just above the cabinet to lock it up. Between you guys and Outside our Bubble it looks like Tiffin is the way to go. Hope you enjoy winter somewhere warm and safe.
Wow, what a start to your adventures! 😳. It’s so good to see that you can actually get on with living your life and enjoy your experiences with each other. 🤗 I really do hope that they repair the American Coach before they sell it to the next unsuspecting customers. 🥴. Take care from this side of the pond here in Brexitland (England 🏴).
Congrats on your tiffin. We order a tiffin in Sept and getting it in Jan 2021. This will be our first RV. So with all the problems you had with your other RVs and doing better with your Tiffin. I feel better on our pick of our RV.
Living only 60 miles from Tiffin here in Alabama is nice. I'm so proud of the Tiffin family and employees ! They make made in the USA very special and being here in Alabama is so great ! ! Thanks for purchasing a product made here in Alabama ! God Bless both of you ! God Bless Tiffin Always !
We actually love the larger engine. The extra hp is nice. It's just some upgrades from the Allegro bus. The more current Allegro bus has come up a bit from the older models. You really can't go wrong with either.
Happy you were able to trade out the American. Sad for me to see all of these issues you had with the American. My father had 2 Eagles. A 98 and an 05. He had very good service with both of those units. I understand that Tiffin has great customer service. These units do take constant attention. So much that can go wrong and maintain and attend to. Our Wanderlodge is no exception either. Here's to great travels and great memories. Thanks for your videos.
Congrats on the new RV. If you come back to or through Jacksonville- let us know. My wife and I enjoy your videos. As subscribers we'd love to meet you guys sometime.
So informative. Thank you. I think one of the things I picked up is that if I ever could afford such a lifestyle, regardless of type or size of camper I would sacrifice room and avoid slide outs. Friends I know that camp , to the last person they have all had issues with slide outs and they were not easy to repair.
I'm old school. Slide outs have advantages, and some interesting drawbacks. The floorplan of the coach is a compromise when they are retracted. And when they are extended, you must allow for the extension. Full disclosure, they give some nice room when extended, and I understand the logic! The downside. Seals, drainage, and mechanical issues. A power slide operates with one of two methods electric mechanical rams, or hydraulic. I have repaired both. Absolute truth, If I had a coach with slides, In the large bay, I would always carry a spare ram. On the road, priorities. If you have a problem, swap the spare, and enjoy the tour. Period. Mobile service is an expensive option, and add the time involved for parts. If you have slides, always be prepared to maintain them. Paying to reseal is expensive, but with care, this is something you can do yourself Thise seals have a limited lifetime, and leaks cost more than the seals by a long shot. One more thought, the power, water, and drain lines on a slide? Yep, check the angles, the routing, and plan to repair these lines. Overall, I like the professional coaches. What is this? These coaches don't have slides, they have a driver, and the folks on the road enjoy the coach underway. Think musicians on tour for example. I am biased, I really love the classic Prevost coaches. 1990s. Beautiful riveted sides. Detroit Diesels. Just reworked the hydraulic ram and seals on a friend's Safari (Monaco) this last week. Leaking seal, water line, and rebuilt the hydraulic ram. I turn wrenches for a living, for 36 years. No, didn't charge him one penny. A labor of love. Yep, I love watching you guys enjoy the life. I know just how expensive it is, and at 57, I would love to share in this experience soon. Safe travels!
Been wondering about you two! Thank gawd you got out of that nightmare really hope this Tiffin treats you great for many many miles! So hopefully you won't be Irritated Travelers any more (fingers crossed) are you keeping the name or.. maybe better give it a while..lol... Happy travels!
So glad you could switch-out to a Tiffin. Not everyone has that luxury; General RV is nice dealership! Congratulations 🍾 You are going to love the Customer Service from Tiffin . Their sevice center is by their plant. Go on RU-vid and find Tiffin owners. Love the clear LED's inside your Coach. Don't have a class A; . And don't really plan to anytime soon until i'm semi-retired in a couple of years. In my mid 50's and we're into our boats. So for now we enjoy our Travel Trailer. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you 🙏 was going to buy a new American dream coach now having second thoughts . Will look into getting a tiffin . You seem like a great couple very blessed . Safe travels . Enjoy 😉
Thank you for finally doing a video indoors so we can hear you. Wish you much luck and much safety on your journeys. Do not, ,do not,, go up the Alcan Highway with that. And the roads in Alaska will do a lot of not nice things to your vehicle.
We have a Tiffin Alegro and we’re on a long trip and the bathroom door was closed and wouldnt let me out since it fell off the track. My husband came to my rescue. I called Tiffin and they had us call a repairman who came out the next day. The Rv was out of warranty but Tiffin paid us with no problem. Can’t beat Tiffin customer service.
Had a couple of eagles and had nothing but problems.. finally bought a prevost conversion (used) and have really been surprised at how well it has held up and how available service is compared to our American coach
We are looking to upgrade from our old Forest River gasser to a DP. Tiffin Allegro bus is top of list. Thanks for the info. It is helping with our decision
My in laws bought 2 RV's from Tiffin and said the service was phenomenal on both of them. They would make Red Bay the last stop on their jaunts across the US and were never disappointed in the service.
Glad it’s working out...you know you are loved!..your well being means allot to all of us as we love to travel with you...take us with you in your adventure as it has become our adventure.....
I have a Allegro bus 45 it has. bin great so far had it about a year. I have fixed a few things myself I like to work on it if it’s something little. Tiffin is always great good luck.
You two are seriously the two mellowest people I've seen. I would be totally losing my sh*t with all of the incompetence you've had to endure. Mike is like the RV equivalent of the Professor from "Gilligan's Island". ... We had a fault in the [fill in the blank]. I used pork rinds [zip ties, wire, parts on eBay] and a voltage meter to re-calibrate it and we were on the way!"
We started with a Tiffin 2010 Allegro Open Road… then a Tiffin 2015 Allegro Red… and just bought a Tiffin 2022 Phaeton. First two were great… and love everything about our new Phaeton. Great company… great product.
Wish you the best, and luck with new coach, unfortunately the rv industry is not know for service, you can find a good dealer but few out there. We have had fair to bad.
That was a great update! I am watching all of your videos in a row and you both look so much happier in this one. I hope one of you knocked on wood for good luck. LOL
Ha! Now you have to change the name of your Channel! Happy RV’ing! Do a Tour. Nice to see Tiffin is starting to put slightly more Contemporary Interiors instead of the Boring 1980’s Brown.
Excellent news !,..Great looking coach and for me a much more practical interior, the American Coach interior is really too ostentatious and reminds me of a posh hotel minus the bell boy !! Please don't stop with the vids as many of us want to see the US from our sofas !!
6:53 - Waiting for something bad to happen? I thought you had enough bad experience and shouldn't expect another one 🤣 Enjoy your new "house" my friend. Cheers!
Just found your channel. Keep up the good work. You have a great new coach. We have a Diesel pusher and pull a 28ft trailer. So there are always problems and we have learned patience. Good Luck 👍
Glad to see you both landed on your feet with a trouble-free (relatively speaking to we rv'ers) vehicle. We're still in our '06 Revolution with the occasional fix, but it's to be expected no matter what you're RV of choice is. I've come to find it's all in the scheduled maintenance once you're lemon-free. Enjoy to the max!
Congrats! Sounds like you guys got pretty jerked around. I'm surprised the lemon wasn't falling apart at the seams by the time you traded it in. Without some basic know how on hubby's part, you'd have been stranded.
Hello from oshkosh. Watched all your videos the wife and I wanted to rv to Florida and back in a few years to get away from winter. Watching your videos scared us from the idea lol now we are thinking of a condo
Glad to see your on the road. Can't imagine going through what you two did. Excited for you two to to enjoy traveling. Did you get the tow vehicles steering fixed?
I've watched everyone of your videos. LOVE them. You guys are saints to have put up with what you have been through. Is your new Tiffin a 450 hp or 605 hp?
That American was a beautiful coach. So crazy to hear about all the issues. What engines do both of the coaches have since you said the new one has less power?
No RV Tour and You have a Pet? Also when making video's you can take the camera a phone the Thing's You have Fixed to help those with an RV to do the same to Save some money if they are Handy. Congrats on the New 2021 RV..
Glad to see you’re happy with your Tiffin. We own a ‘17 Tiffin Bus that we purchased new. We have over 30k miles on it, with a few problems but very happy with it. I think you’ll find they stand behind their product. I’d suggest you go to the factory service center in Red Bay for warranty issues if possible. Safe travels.
