@@evazubeck This was an interesting contrast. I'm so happy y'all did it. I think I prefer Odyssey over the van, mostly because it can go more places. But, a sink, stove and toilet are nice to have, too. Of course the best part of this experience was watching the dogs playing. They make everything more fun. 🤠👍💕

What a great guy...filling the fridge, cleaning and changing the sheets, all ready for you to have a great experience. Just the small things that shows that he is very considerate and not just thinking about himself. He probably also filled the tank so you wouldn't have to think about that either. Hope he felt just as welcome in your overlander...

No need to complain about Semantics. Bec isn't a "housewife Female" after-all either she is also working as a content creator. Just saying.. bold of you to assume. I can relate to your Feminist view but you still have to be logical and look at that fact he's been there for his partner Bec and Eva is also very pro feminist. No harm in making sure a male also gets praised too if he does right in general.

One of the things I find most entertaining is seeing you learn about things and about how to do things that are so common for me that I don't even think about them and have long forgotten how I learned about them. The drone shots really add a nice touch. And, that time-lapse shot with the stars was fantastic. The singer in the whale shots sounds like it might be Eamon.

Great collab Eva.... the best of both worlds, is the 'truck camper'. I love mine and even have a woodstove in it, where the fridge used to be. With the right truck you could get to those harder to reach spots, but still have the bed, kitchen area, and stand up areas.

I had a 5th wheel for a short time (lived in it for a year), but I've almost always "camped" in a tent, on the ground, or the bed of a truck, so I can appreciate the vast difference between RV'ing and camping. Peace, Love!!

I have have been following both your channels for about a year or more, not sure. This was a true surprise for me seeing you two together in the same video, but so fun. I thought this was a really neat video getting to see you guys switch living accommodations see how different they are. One of the reasons I found it interesting to see what your different reactions were is that I've had the opportunity over my life to do everything from mountain bike camping living out of a Jeep living out of a van taking RV's camp trailers pickup trucks all the way up to spending a weekend collecting firewood living in the back of a full size semi trailer ( an actual cargo trailer, corrugated aluminum floor, no amenities). What I always found is that I enjoyed the rugged adventure over the amenities where other people that came with us would have rather had the amenities and where not quite as much into the adventure so it's a very unique thing from person to person as to which you like but it's always fun to experience both.

Liked both of your videos! As a longtime LR driver - the LR is permanent 4x4 with a lockable center-differential lock (front & rear axle locked together) and high/low transfer box! "Washboard" is the result of the wheels pushing the vehicle forward creating regular ridges (size depending on wheel size) on loose surface. Depending on your wheel size these washboard are driven best at either ~40 or 80km/h! To get to 80km/h is a bit rough but the ride will get a lot quieter BUT also less controllable since the tires are "flying" from top to top on the washboard! Sprinter - if you have, always use 4x4 on dirt roads for better control!

Just watched these videos and they are both great. The look on Eamon's face at 11:02 is perfect. Overlanding suits you and being in the van must have kind of been like a vacation. I think Eamon would get the hang of overloading in about a week or two. It was so cool to see some of my favorite RU-vidrs in shared videos and each making a high quality piece of entertainment complete with jumping whales.

Awesome video, if you wanted more space I would add an off road trailer converter to a kitchen and bathroom. So you can go anywhere off road. Best part is if you get stuck you can disconnect the trailer. Watching Eamon in your van I would put led lights on your back door. Some led side lights added to the back door would give you options

A very timely video. I have been trying to decide the same question. At this point I'm definitely leaning towards the overlanding side, specifically a Pinzgauer. My vision is even more basic than your current set up.

My wife & I've been enjoying your videos Eva. And on the "funnel" ?? ;) My MacGirlver of a wife asked me, waaaay back in January of 2018, to pick up a funnel, some appropriately sized tubing, and order a 2-gallon water-RotoPax. Scratching my head, i complied without questioning. She put it all together for doing #1 in our custom van build (which i squeezed a little over 8' of gleaming SS Countertop for her to cook yummy plant-based meals in her home-on-wheels that we lived in for a bit over 2.5 years. Enjoy the adventure!

Having progressed from a Defender to a camper van myself, I completely understand the luxury and comfort of a camper van, plus the time back from not having to set up a tent, etc adds so much more enjoyment to the experience each day. Not every van's like Eamon and Bec's - Casa B is gorgous and practical. One thing's for sure; Overlanding is only for the brave! Vilk may not have liked seeing his home roll away, but I bet he's be ok in van - especially as he's getting bigger and I think his mama is coming around to getting a 4x4 van in the near future maybe...? C'mon, auto transmission, a toilet and shower and all that space and you;re still on the road on your adventures - what's not to love. x

I found this an interesting view of my life . I'm a part timer , while still working a factory job . I travel in both a Chevy G20 van and a Jeep Cherokee . The van gives me comfort that the Jeep never could , but the Jeep will take me places I could only dream about in the van . The ultimate would be a 4x4 van , but that's cost prohibited .

Eva, maybe you should have a “emergency” set of keys made and wire them under Odessy (w/ copper wire) in case you really do lose them or leave them on a table in a restaurant and a server keeps them because you didn’t tip enough for them……I saw the panic on your face when you were contemplating what you were going to go through with them “really” lost. This was such a great idea, very entertaining to see the comfort differences.

Brilliant collaboration video/swap guys! Thoroughly enjoyed both videos! Very funny.. dogs got on great which was good! Eamon navigating the Manual and 4x4 selector was funny! I have an AirTag attached to all my key rings. It has been a lifesaver more times than I like to admit. Just a suggestion. I just wish they made one to fit on glasses! Oh, also have one on my wallet, and that has proved useful as well.

@@acousticshadow4032 it’s a little tiny disc thing from Apple that you attach to stuff and it lets you track it on the Find My app. I have one on my key ring, too, and if left them somewhere I could see on the map where they are. I think you can make them beep too.
