Recently, while on a trip to Crossover Blendery, we were lucky enough to sit down with co-founder George and try different ages of their base golden ale. That's to say we'd be trying their youngest and oldest beers, with two other seasons in between.
This is beer that has been sitting in barrels for between 9 and 42 months. So how different would it taste? What does time do to spontaneously fermented beer? Well, in a first for not only us but him too, George talks us through 4 different ages of this beer and what's happening to it at each stage to change it.
