this is great move from DITO, this kills the Home prepaid wifi of Globe and Smart, though DITO coverage Signal Tower is still on limited sites/area, this a great deal if you know you are near a DITO tower.

DITO is really fast in some parts of Cebu City . Akala nila nkawired connection ako kasi walang lags during meetings amd even streaming in netflix and fb lives. Yun pala naka mobile hotspot lang devices ko from my phone

Will the sim card work if you inserted this to your phone for portability? If 5G network is not available in the area location, will it use 4G LTE instead?
AFAIK, hindi po sila magbebenta kung hindi abot ng 5G ang area nyo. That's what I was told the last time nagpunta ako sa experience store nila. Not sure now kung mag bago sa policies, kasi may pupuntang technician to check your area. And yes, kung biglang magka prob ang 5G sa lugar, it will use 4G as fallback.

Actually its called Data Throttling and not Data Capping. And yes, DITO have 500gb data consumption limit for Unli 5G for both postpaid and prepaid connection. After consuming the said data allocation within a month, your speed will drop down to just 10mbps and will return to normal speed the next month. :)

How about if I purchase the 5G Prepaid Home WiFi (which doesn't come with unlimited 5G) and then register the SIM for a 30-day unlimited 5G data promo before inserting it into the router? Would that give me unlimited 5G at a much cheaper cost compared to paying over 1k a month?
I think its not good the upspeed is low. Since you will need constant upload when okaying it. The speed is not fiberlike. Its more like mobile phone hotspot speed

This won't work for WFH setup and heavy users. Clearly some people don't know the difference between data capping and data throttling. The unlimited plan doesn't have data cap but it does have data throttling. Means after 800 mbps your internet speed will slowdown. Checked my phone's usage last month and it's already 156 GB. What if pa ung WFM laptop ko na connected through company VPN.
Nope, especially on auto setting, to stabilize it, it needs to be cell locked, which I wonder if possible thru the default login like in the PLDT 5G home wifi

About time the Philippines adopts this wireless internet system, we've been using this here in Saudi for the past ten years now. But of course, their not cheating us with data capping, we really enjoy true wireless - unlimited internet here with our STC service. In here, you have the option to buy antenna for the modem to boost ur signal.
Fine. Helped me mostly with my finances as I only spend 200 on load every month compared to 999 from Smart. It has been very reliable except when I go to very remote islands. I am from Cebu so DITO has been good too me as a service provider
