the funny thing with the assault cannon to me is that if reloading was “picking up an ammo pack” it would technically be good for kill streaks because you’d kill an enemy, pick up their dropped ammo pack, get the speed boost to get closer to another enemy and chain it, im picturing the hallway from the spawn on twoFort that you drop down where you’d use the speed boost to get out of the hallway either to the spot where sentries go or towards the hallway to outside/sewers

Misunderstood the +25% bullet speed on the assault canon. The bullet is already instantaneous, and what's 25% faster than instant? That's right. The assault canon will hit your target *before you pull the trigger.* Can't top that.
I interpreted the gambling addiction as having all of the stats past on crit: applying on crit rather than just having crits reach further and honestly the idea of a weapon that makes you slow down both in attack and movements speed as you gamble more is perfect.

I wanted to show sympathy for bullet speed up because I too have made the mistake of thinking the bullets were projectiles because of how they look when fired. But that doesn't even apply, because they haven't played the game before! This is pure ignorance, rather then a misunderstanding.
Bad weapon concepts for TF2 have always seemed like a strange case to me. On one hand if you like TF2 but hate the limited selection of weapons it's nice to have another option to choose from. But on the other hand, weapon concepts usually look like they would be horribly imbalanced. And I've always thought it would be neat if cool looking weapon concepts like the Assault Cannon had more of an identity than "Its the weapon concept from a guy who has never played the game" So I took a large number of weapon concepts currently available on r/tf2 and gave them new sets of stats ranging from "Slightly modified version of the original concept" to "Completely new weapon idea that's not balanced at all but a ton of fun."
I Honestly like the idea of a faster firing minigun that kinda acts like the opposite of the tomislav and then give heavy a secondary that kinda acts like the detenator but marks the enemy for death. Pair it with each other and it might make a good contender for the sandvich I like to believe
I kinda wish they tried to fix the weapon balancing to be not terrible, instead of just trying to advertise the weapon concept better. Even if it still is funny. So I’ll do it myself. Assault cannon: Idk how to make this one work. Even just having lower damage but faster firing speed is redundant. I guess you could make it shoot projectiles and requires a reload, but the assault cannon doesn’t look like it would fire projectiles, and how would a reloading primary work exactly? The Gambling addiction: First off, it would need some kind of model. Maybe it could be one of those spinning wheels with the balls, but upside down and with a longer Handle? Or maybe a giant dice on a stick? As for the stats +15% crit chance +50% damage on crit -30% Damage -Get Marked for death for 5 seconds upon hitting a non-critical hit More of a risk/reward item. Still poorly designed, but funny. The Texican Standoff I would just call it “The Texan Standoff”. Yeah, it’s not as funny, but the Engineer isn’t Mexican, so it wouldn’t make much sense. +30% accuracy bonus +50% damage bonus +Inflicts afterburn -50% firing speed -50% clip size The stats make it more like a revolver, might need to adjust the numbers a bit. The afterburn keeps the core design, which is “I hate spies”, while still being useful outside of that. Personally, I think a revolver weapon for engineer would be cool, but afterburn isn’t necessary. The Super Death Launcher of Death The name is pretty dumb even for tf2 standards, so it could be changed, but it’s also funny +10% damage bonus +Last rocket in clip is a guaranteed mini-crit -30% firing speed -25% clip size 15% Slower Reload speed -No random critical hits This weapon reloads its entire clip at once Has less sustain, but can have a powerful burst damage option The fists of healing +On hit: Heal 30 Health +Health gained can overheal -50% Heath from healers on wearer -50% Max overheal Doesn’t weaken health packs or lunchbox items, but still weakens external healing. Razorshield +After hitting an enemy with the shield bash, disable attacking for 2 seconds -No resistances Pretty annoying, but how else would this weapon work?
Hmm… The Texican Standoff actually was probably one of the better weapons on this list lol Also if I had to give stats to The Gambling Addiction, here’s what I would do: Clear most of the original stats out. New stats: -On Hit: 10% chance to apply any of the following effects: Jarate, Mad Milk, Afterburn, Bleed, Mark for Death. Also has a 5% chance to heal the person hit or the User for 25 HP, or Explode (deals the same damage as the caber) -50% Swing Speed (adjusted for each class) - -35% Damage Penalty Basically, the goal with this weapon is to just run in, hope you get lucky, and run out.

I'm like that guy that made the assault cannon that doesn't play TF2, but I want to just make custom stats anyways. Literally the only thing I want on the assault cannon is explosive rounds, because that sounds really fun.
I was thinking the assault cannon would be really cool if it were a reloadable mini rocket firing minigun, with rocket travel time, a small aoe, and a bit less accuracy.
