Now we know the grim fate of the Pikachu who power the electric generator in the Pokémon Center when they fail to meet their monthly quota.

Sachertorte (first syllable rhymes with Bach, ur, tort, uh) is a rich chocolate cake with apricot-jam filling, basically. They’re trying for an apricot taste and maybe they’ve failed. Japanese have developed a real liking for various German and Austrian cakes. Baumkuchen is really popular despite being tedious to make (paint a layer of sweetish cake batter on a cylinder, brown it using an adjacent heat source while rotating so that it’s browned evenly, apply another layer of batter… you get alternating pale and browned layers that look like the growth rings in a tree trunk).

These videos are always great, they make a nice change-up from movie or TV reviews. It never fails to amaze me, the sheer variety of Kit-Kat that exist in Japan. I've been known to eat unsweetened baking chocolate so I'd probably enjoy the Tort ones.

I appreciate the couple food-sharing in this video. I rarely see a person bite out of food after their partner has bitten the food. The trust is real.

Pikachu would taste like a lemon. Because you can stick electrodes in both and get electricity.

Someone else said it here, but the "something else" in the sachertorte could be apricot. My dad (who spent his junior year of college abroad in Austria) requests one for his birthday every year. My mom learned how to make them and finding the apricot jam the first year was a bit tricky, so the specifically apricot jam is ingrained in my brain for ever, lol. Nowadays my mom normally outsources to a bakery 🤪. BTW, the real thing is delicious... though maybe not if you don't like dark chocolate!

Back in the summer of 1978, I brought a pack of Star Wars chews. Which had STAR WARS written in capital on the wrapping. They were ordinary but quite nice chews inside. With no markings of any kind. Despite being twelve and so caught up in Star Wars fever that I wanted anything that related to it at all, I couldn't help but think 'what has this got to do with Star Wars exactly.?'.

Are they made out of real Pikachus though? Maybe that’s the real reason Team Rocket kept stalking Ash/Satoshi for so long.

in the Japanese show Carranger which is what Power Rangers Turbo was adapted from Carrangers foes which are alien bikers could grow to giant size thanks to that Japanese sweet potato snack.

I'm not a kitkat fan, but I do love dark chocolate, so I'm guessing that one would probably be my favorite.😊

It amazes me how they randomly slap pictures of movie characters on packages to get people to buy them. I once saw “Star Wars ear swabs” with a picture of Kylo Ren wielding his light saber. I also saw string cheese with Elsa on it, labeled “Frozen Cheese”, despite being only refrigerated.

So many INTERESTING PEOPLE. But the most INTERESTING PEOPLE are the Monsters.

Is your cat a dark calico?

Are they actually Pikachu flavored or are they like strawberry flavoring, that has a recognizable flavor but is nothing like strawberries? Because that's BS. How hard it is to make something Pikachu flavored? Not even trying.

I know it's good when my SO is stealing my snacks. This seems like this is one of those things.

It's probably just me, but seeing two people, no matter their personal relationship, sharing a single food item, is creepy and off-putting. You could share the same piece of toilet paper and spread fewer germs.
