I’m a Singaporean living overseas for close to 4 years now… I don’t really get home sick but I think about THIS PANCAKE almost once a week especially in my dreams 😢😮😅 I’m drooling watching this video lol
Not sure if Pancake King was purposely not mentioned in the video as it is a chain...but it is precisely so that I think it caters to the majority's taste and standard is quite consistent. Plus, it is available at more places at its outlets and it has other yummy things (e.g brownie, walnut cake...)
Ah Long Pancake is actually my go-to! It would be my breakfast choice when I used to work around the Paya Lebar area and now that I'm no longer working there, I get very happy when I visit their other outlets. I do agree that the peanut one is a tad dry hence I go with the peanut and cheese variation. Sometimes I would add egg as well to the peanut and cheese if I'm feeling it. Hope Sew and Adria gives it a second chance and try the peanut with cheese.
personally, my fav is at hougang green mall, sold in the coffee shop with collins, the ahma and ahgong are so great!! min jiang kueh there is also very nice and cheap!
Chinese called it Min Chiang Kueh, Malays called it Apam Balik, Indonesians called it Martabak Manis. I think for those who likes sweet stuff, might want to try the Indonesians ones... theirs confirm will need insulin after eating.
I love the apam balik with freshly grated coconut and sweet corn (only seen in parts of Malaysia so far). Why do they need to add orange coloured sugar to the coconut?🥴
They should speak to their “classy” colleague who in a previous episode said some food item (forgot what it was) was limper than her grandpa’s dick 🙄🙄🙄🙄
