They aint rude, just efficient and straight to the point. You sit down, what you want, what to drink, eat then leave cuz they got hundreds of other customers waiting.
I think Rude is relative. a lot of people think things are rude because Cantonese is natively a rude sounding language. everyone is always yelling and screaming, the only diff betweek HK & Mainland ppl is that HK people were colonized so the people are a little more "proper" in how they talk like british people compared to angry mainland ppl. Think of it as just angry British people speaking chinese. Restaurant wise its a typical cha chang tang which is fun breakfasty foods and dim-sum esque experience. Theres def better places imo if you want Cha chaan tang food w/ more exciting menus. Next time you go to a HK breakfast joint its all about the fun toast options w/ like condensed milk, Steamed Milk Puddings, custards, meat floss dishes, porridge w/ crullers, etc...
