I didn’t even know that was a thing. What is it supposed to be for? She only said it was so she could sleep peacefully....If it’s to block sound , why not use ear plugs or white noise? The pillow would never work for me. I toss and turn and manhandle my pillows all night so my ear wouldn’t stay in the hole. And what about the ear that’s not on the pillow? It’s going to be left out in the cold and not blocking sound.

soft foam/pillow rollers are my go to method for curly hair. you can sleep in them without pain and the extra volume of foam rollers. My hairstyle takes 5 minutes in the morning and is 90% sleep.

I love how my hair looks after I've slept in curlers overnight! I haven't tried these ones, but I have a set of foam rollers, and I've worn them overnight (with hairspray). I take them out in the morning and my hair is in ringlets that last for a few days! I love it! (Using hairspray or gel is the key to getting the curls to stay!)

You need to part your hair in large sections,one for each roll and start rolling up from the ends of the hair and strap it. Also sometimes you need more than one packet of rolls to cover all sections. The longer the hair the bigger the roll and viceversa.

You can also take aluminum foil, cut it into strips and use that as a overnight curler than in the morning you'll get bouncy curls.

I have Maya’s hair type and these overnight curlers work, you just need to brush it out very well and wrap small sections at a time while keeping the hair flat against the curler. It takes forever to dry (sometimes more than 8hours) but it really does work.

Am...am I the only one who was like. Yelling at them because that's not how you put in curlers? You roll from the bottom up so they're tight to your head, you don't wrap them at the top like you do on a curling iron. I understand how it's confusing if you've never used curlers before but like, idk, I just didn't realize that it's not a Thing most people know I guess

I hate curling my hair. I get halfway done and then I don't want to finish it, but of course I can't stop cause it would look weird half curly half curly/wavy frizz. So typically I just go with natural hair down or put up. (Mostly up in a messy bun or pony)

Soft curlers from duane reade works wonders. Hairspray each strand and roll them up and then hairspray the collection of rollers. Use a blow dryer to dry each layer of hairspray, do it about 3 times. I use this process for shows and it definitely works! Sounds like a lot, but overall only takes 1-2 hours.

Plaiting your hair before you sleep also works really well. I have naturally straight hair but I seem to have a pretty permanent wave because I've plaited it every night

secretmermaid no black people's hair is a different texture. Some redheads have the same texture. It's very fine ringlets allover the head. Like every strand of hair is a tighter curl than Maya's hair.

It's frustrating because devon seems to be the only girl here who actually knows how to put your hair up in hair curlers properly but doesn't have the long hair to do it, and the girls with long hair don't know how. Just look at a picture of a woman in hair curlers and i'm pretty sure you could learn how.

Nina Dees you would think so. But I’ve watched more videos than I can count of people using a curling iron to curl their hair, and it still makes no sense to me. I’m not all that confident in my ability to use curlers either.

I literally figured out how to put in curlers when I was like 9. You put it on top of the hair at the ends, wrap the ends around, and roll it up. Not that difficult.

They way I think they do videos is they send out emails to the ladies and say "hey you wanna do this" and they can if they want. Also they might have added Maya (curly hair) for more of an experiment. To see if it worked for all hair types.

I had long, fine, thick hair very similar to Devins. I tried curling it with a curling iron, flat iron, braiding then flat ironing, sleeping in braids, sleeping in wet braids, and sleeping with curlers. NONE OF THEM WORKED. So I got a perm. Best $20 I’ve ever spent.

My hair WAS naturally curly but bc of the length&weight it started to straighten. Now I just wash them and then wrap them around elastic headband (kinda like crown), go to sleep and voila! Perfect overnight curls! Just make sure your hair is damp (not dripping wet) and the hair are tight around headband. Next day you just shake them or comb them (for tighter/loose-y curls)

Don't even bother with these honestly. You want a good curl, do a wet set with flexi rods. These won't last for more than a couple hours even if you do get some shape out of it initially.

soggysocks _ my hair is normally wavy when I’ve not showered in 2-3 days when washed and dried completely it’s so fluffy and curly! Like my gosh! But when first out of the shower and my hair is first dried it’s it’s completely straight.

Okalani Wilson because curly haired girls can still use curling techniques to do a different type of girl. just like how straight haired people still straighten their hair when theres no need to. its just to get a new texture if i were to use these i’d know what to do and id wake up with loose curls instead of my typical tighter curls. she just didnt apply it correctly which is why it didnt come out good

Not necessarily. I have very curly hair and have tried products like this with success. This product was obviously not made for curly women but if you do it right (unlike in the video) you can achieve heatless curls.

you need to twist and pull a lot more than you think is necessary, I only recently mastered the art of curling with a straightener- if you have the right straighteners it's probably easier, less risk of burning yourself haha

You can fabric curlers like theses but with wires inside so you wrap your hair around and then twist the ends of the curler like a twist tie and then sleep with them in. Though the ones I have are smaller so they do a tighter curl. If I'm going for more of a wave I wet my hair and twist it into a bun and sleep with it like that. You just have to make sure your hair isn't too wet or it won't be dry in the morning.

For people with longer hair do 2 pony tails one on the top of your head... one toward bottom take small pieces and do curls In pony tails. 1. IT WORKS!!!! 2. YOU DONT GET ALL HOT WHICH IS THE BEST PERK!!! 3. I have thick hair and it takes 20mins
