You should really have a disclaimer that activated charcoal should not be consumed if you are taking any prescription medication because it will neutralize many active ingredients.
Chris Garcia Yup; when you OD, they give you activated charcoal at the hospital because it absorbs and neutralizes the active ingredients of MANY medications in the bloodstream and prevents it from affecting you.... which is why adding activated charcoal to food and producing content about that food without a warning is really dangerous because some people take literally life saving meds and eating something like this could easily neutralize them
"asian power puff girls" Rie: Blossom - she actually knows what she is doing Niki: Bubbles - just wants to impress Rie and make food Annie: Buttercup - done with it all
Buzzfeed laying off niki, someone who (in my opinion) has made consistently great contributions to the channel with good content, makes me worry they might get rid of rie someday too.
She's a severely outspoken annoying liberal with irrational views, especially on feminism. Still, she did well in this series, so I guess credit should given where it is due.
@@lilpeanutish the comment wasn't anything to do with ice cream, it was about a person. A person who has opinions that probably played a factor in her firing.
Dry Ice is not supposed to be mixed into the ingredients and be eaten. it is not edible. they got it wrong. it is where they place the ice cream mixture container to churn it. people use dry ice when they don't have ice cream machine maker. because you will need to place the milk mixture container ON something that is really really cold to turn it into ice cream.
Easier way to make the ice cream - 1. buy vanilla blue bell ice cream 2. Buy black food coloring 3. Add some milk 4. Blend everything till you have smooth and creamy black vanilla Blue bell ice cream 💯💯💯💯
I always thought carbonated meant it tastes fizzy like sparkling water which is cause by trapped air NOT CO2. Also correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t activated charcoal tasteless
Can’t believe Niki isn’t going to be in any future videos! I don’t know why they would let her go, she has a great bubbly personality and it won’t be the same without her😔
@@charlie_mario6292 She said something on Twitter about being let go, but there are probably going to be other videos that she was in that will still continue to be published. twitter.com/nicolaang/status/1089994970096783361 this is her tweet
WalnutTime she mentioned on her Twitter account that she was let go. So I think she will be in a few more videos that haven’t been published yet but after that, we won’t see her anymore. It’s pretty sad 😞
XxKawai CookiexX If your comment is a joke, then good. If it's not it means you got your info wrong. Dying the cone will result into a dark dark *blue* cone. Not a black one. So they used the activated charcoal since the charcoal has a very dark black color.
Krystle C It can if you consume a lot of it all at once and it can mess with any medications but if you wait an hour or two after eating large amounts of it in one sitting you’ll be fine if you want I’ll paste the many articles I found on this
I understand that, but people still need to know that consumption can cause absorption issues so either avoid or wait the X amount of time before or after you take medication lol @@lindsayabigail983
Charcoal is super safe and affective if you use it as toothpaste every day (I don’t even have to post a link this is common knowledge and easy to find anywhere) so I’m pretty sure eating ice cream with charcoal isn’t going to do anything to you.
A lot of people seem to comment on how they have a crush on Anie, Andrew, or Niki but honestly I have a crush on Adam like can we take a moment appreciate him?
Yea, active charcoal is actually charcoal of coconut. However in oreos it's black chocolate, but I think they used the active charcoal because the icecream was vanilla in the video.
I don't know why this matters but it does. And I can logically and critically reason my thesis. Rie: pure Bubbles. Because she is pure and needs protection. She is also quieter. Anne: obviously Buttercup. Because she is more dry, sarcastic, and a darker rebel. Niki: SO CLEARLY A BLOSSOM. Because she is obviously most comfortable in a leader position and is a bit of a control nut. Which is not a criticism, just an observation and fact. QED. Addendum- Andrew is Mojo Jojo.
they put the dry ice into the ice cream mixture. dry ice is not edible. not supposed to be eaten. it is used in making ice cream but as a substitute to "ice cream maker" machine, NOT as an ingredient. they are supposed to place the bowl of ice cream mixture on it while they mix/churn it. i hope nobody will copy what they did here.
@@VeNuS2910 actually making ice cream with dry ice is very popular, as long as the dry ice is food grade and is crushed very finely, it's perfectly safe to consume. All it does is just speed up the process of freezing it.
I love Rie & nikki 😍😍😍 Btw one shouldn't overdose those *trendy* (let's say trendy in 2018) black foods. Like when a person consumes activated charcoal in ice cream, the charcoal sucks up the calcium, potassium, and other vitamins that would be found in the milk. This prevents the stomach lining from absorbing those nutrients, which means that the body eliminates them as waste alongside the charcoal. In extreme cases, this can result in malnutrition. It's not life threatening when u take everything within a limit :D
Ashlover 123 that’s an eye opener, there is all this stuff that they claim about the “health benefits” at these places that sell charcoal foods such as, how it whitens teeth, contains many minerals and a whole list of things. Hmmm.. don’t know what to think now 🤔
That’s a great point! Also there is a thing called Black Cocoa Powder. It’s what gives Oreos their color, so I’ve never understood why charcoal is being used in dessert when they can use black cocoa powder.
I agree with u all. I mean who needs charcoal ice cream when we have chocolate, cookie&cream , vanilla & many other delicious flavours 😍...(jst spare the poor icecream 😿)
Also 18 that you can use instead of charcoal to make food black naturally is using something called black cocoa powder it gives food at a similar to Oreos though.
Hey quick side note for future safety concerns. Dry ice is very dangerous, you have to be in a well ventilated space because carbon dioxide can build up and suffocate you. It should never be stored in the freezer because that can ruin your freezer, instead put it into a Styrofoam cooler in a cool place outside like in the shade. You cant use a regular cooler because those seal to good so when the dry ice starts to sublimate it can actually explode. Only touch it with thick gloves preferably leather work gloves because it is so cold it can burn your skin. Sorry for sounding like a Debby downer, but I do science experiments with kids at a school and have to know every safety concern to get the experiment approved by the principle. Last concern, activated charcoal should not eaten in large quantities it can prevent medication from working and bind to nutrients in your food which stops it from being absorbed by your body. Activated charcoal is actually used to counteract poisons and overdoses when they are ingested.
can buzzfeed make an parody of inside out and like rie is joy niki is disgust and annie is sadness LIKE CMON I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT TO MY ENTIRE LIFE oh and alix would be the girl who is getting controlled by themmmmm!!!
i feel like they weren't supposed to add dry ice to the cream, instead keep it on the outside. Then you still get the coldness but not the carbonation.
@@dominicc4543 You are definitely supposed to add it directly to the mix. The dry ice sublimates and turns directly into co2 which should just bubble out of the ice cream. The idea is to get it to freeze as quickly as possible while the liquid is moving. You could even use liquid nitrogen if you wanted, and that way there would be no chance of carbonating your ice cream.
carbonation is a side effect of tjis process simply because they are using solid carbon dioxide.. carbon dioxide is what carbonizes soft drinks or what you might know as soda.
@@theartofdying2471 Nah, you could dump liquid nitrogen in the mixture and it would just boil out. So long as you are whipping it fast enough, you will get the desired effect.
It's the stupidest trend as no one seems to care to mention that if someone is reliant on meds and they'd take activated charcoal, their meds would stop working. That should be kinda important to mention..
I’m just gonna chime in with the “I’m a simple man. I see Rie, I hit the like button” comment because I’m a simple man. I see Rie, I hit the like button.
