Yeah, we wouldn't go that hard on them, once we established dominance we would tell them to stand down, and they would, because they're pacifists. Then trade and commerce. We'd be fighting the element of ourselves that would exploit them. Count on it. Also, a pacifist species doesn't need to be weak. See Puppeteers.
agree. It's not "very pacifistic" to me to arm up and try to frighten someone with overwhelming numbers and start shooting at someone first. Then again, i heard an old musician once say "i was always a pacifist, until i was attacked and realized that me not wanting to harm anyone doesn't make the attacker not wanting to hurt me. I am no longer a pacifist."
