My waist and bum difference makes it so hard! It’s really awful how much sizes varie from brand to brand. Online shopping is a big no no for jeans.

growing up I have had a hard time with jeans. I had 17 lower back surgeries and it leaved a bump on my lower back. so I had to make sure the waist fit right. but then it made the jeans look to big in the legs. Once I lost my right leg I had to look at jeans different again. And now that I am 100% wheelchair bound with low % body movement I needed to make sure I can get the jeans on myself, have them fit while i am in my wheelchair and not have any parts of the jeans leave marks since i can't feel and that could cause infection. But man when i find the perfect jeans i try to make sure to keep them around

Seeing Loryn tear up broke my heart. I totally understand where she's coming from though. Its hard in this day and age of social media to feel good when shopping and seeing a number on your clothes that doesn't fit the standard.

Thanks Loryn for being so personal! I lost weight this year from working out during quarantine. I’m still trying to figure out how to dress my body and style myself and I look to you for inspo. Literally last night, I sent photos of you and Jackie to my friends and boyfriend n I just went “THEY LOOK LIKE ME!!! THEIR BODIES LOOK LIKE MINE!!!” Again, thanks again for being so personal. It’s comforting to know that it’s normal for me to have insecure episodes.. and just because I have these episodes doesn’t mean I don’t love my body and it doesn’t mean I have to get smaller to get rid of them.

Never related more to someone in my life during Loryn's part. I have had a very unhealthy relationship with my body in the past, and being pregnant right now is making all those insecure feelings come up again of what will i look like once this baby gets here. Ugh it's so hard being a woman. Thank you Loryn for showing that there are a ton of women out there with the same insecurities and that I can win this battle!

Went jean shopping with my boyfriend the other day and after he found a pair he asked if I wanted to look for some. Had to explain why my answer was "I don't have the energy to figure out what size I am in this store today." And now he is so intrigued but also happy it is easier for dudes to shop.

As a 31 year old woman I feel like I shouldn’t say this but I still wear hollister jeans because they are the only ones that fit every time, they are super stretchy and you can get them for $25. I wish I had the confidence and patience to find a more age appropriate Jean brand

Loryn really went there! Thank you for being so raw and opening up! For 4 years it was polo and black pants and jeans on Friday. Now ALL I wear is leggings and yoga pants. My work let’s me and I feel like life is too short to be uncomfortable!! I have a couple pair of jeans but never perfect of course 🙄

Sizing is so stupid. My best fitting jeans are a size 3, size 4, size 5, size 6, size 7, and size 9. They ALL have a 28 inch waist.

@@tibo3211 might sound like an ideal but finding clothes is a pain. I have this struggle. Usually have to adjust the waists of my pants since I have to buy them to fit my thighs and hips and I'm not even "big" by society standards 😑

One, Loryn thank you for being so vulnerable because I completely relate to that feeling. Especially during covid where I’ve gained weight and basically had to buy a new wardrobe because none of my clothes fit, the idea of even sizing up has done a number on my self-esteem. It’s good to remember that we all have these feelings and it’s a part of the journey to embracing our body in all it’s forms. Two, I MUST know the eyeshadow and red lipstick combo you are wearing at the end. LOVE the tones. ♥️

I think this is a great idea and your bodies are both absolutely stunning I personally think the washes and textures of these particular jeans are not the most flattering which has nothing to do with how gorgeous both your figures are. The placement of the whiskering and lightening did not elevate the jeans which I’m sure were expensive if custom Made. I definitely would get a custom made pair (prob not from here tho) snd do like the concept.thank you for showing us and trying for us. We appreciate it very much. 💗💗💗💗💗✨✨✨✨

My five-year-old has a pair that has sweatpants lining and fleece lining why don't they make those for grown ups and he doesn't have to deal with the zipper he can just slip them on they even have built-in waste adjusters that have the buttons that keep your pants from sliding down 😉

@@sentarrasilva5995 They do! Old Navy has "built-in warm" jeans that feel like a fleecy hug for cold months! Idk if they have them in anything other than skinnies (though I still find them super comfy). Outdoor stores like Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop, etc sell them as well in various fits. Now all we need are those waist buttons lol

Loryn, you are the first person i have heard say you chose not to wear jeans for years because of the number on the tag. I did this for years as well. That arbitrary number made me hate what I had once been proud to love, my body. It wasn't until recently that I started wearing jeans again. It didn't happen over night for me either and I still hate my bnody some days. Its a journey getting back, and hearing you talk about it means a lot. Thank you.

I can’t express how much I appreciate everything Loryn said in this video. It really made me emotional. I went through a similar experience. Quarantine has me hating my body again but at least now I have the foresight to be kinder to myself. I like a lot of people noticed Loryn’s weight lose but never felt right to mention it because people lose weight for a lot of reasons. Most of my weight came off when I was really sick and I hated when people commented on it though

So I’m a 17 year old... and here’s the thing. This video reminded me of moments when I was in elementary school and having to try on jeans. I didn’t fit into any of the jeans and I remember thinking to myself that I had a weird body and that therefor I was lesser. I WAS LIKE EIGHT YEARS OLD! As plus size this definitely hits home. As most stores don't even have denim to try in in my size and I have to rely online for most of it. While Lane Bryant and others are ok, I have found the best luck with Old Navy Rockstar 👖 jeans. I get dark wash or black boot cut as they are the best for my height. They flatter, fit well, and a decent price.

Loren saying that she liked her body then and the way it is now is a BLESSING because it is SO FREAKIN IMPORTANT to love your body at every stage before you choose to change it. unfortunately a lot of people can’t say that, but it’s okay cuz we’re gonna get there. Just by Loren saying that she’s already impacting other people and it’s such a blessing! Also I completely agree it is so hard to find jeans/pants that fit me as well. I’m 6’0” size 14-16 and finding pants is literally like sacrificing my height so I can have pants that fit my butt. Needless to say it sucks! So I’m making my own from now on, here’s hoping it goes well! 🙏🏽☺️

I think it would be important for Clevver to also address that all those "icons" we see in their clothes and jeans that fit perfect are NOT wearing clothing off the rack. They size UP, and then have it all tailored to their specifications! While some things you can wear nicely and have them fit fine of the rack, most of the time you have to tailor it to make it really fit your right.
