Same also in Korea example using beans ingredient for desserts contains carbohydrates . Fact many fruits and veggies have carbohydrates it's part of food ... Diet food is useless if body won't do exercise ... It's okay to eat carbohydrates as long as body exercise daily.....
those three are the biggest agricultural products we have in Philippines. Other desserts also use banana, corn, and pineapple but mostly on the cold or iced desserts. I hope you'll get to try some one day!
This is really an authentic filipino dishes/desserts. I'm happy he brought this kind of dishes to his friends. Most of reactors I've seen always tries, halo-halo, leche flan, some does ube but that's it. Seeing them try biko, moron, maja blanca, bukayo etc is a breath of a fresh air. Good job kabayan Noel! 💜
@@boyettt Also, I've been watching Dave since 2018. You're Filipino shaming. You're a toxic Filipino.
When dave said yema is soft, man. You're missing so much. The hard ones are like Challenges from the heaven. You bite them hard and then the center one is crisp.
My Filipino friend Noel brought us some Filipino desserts and oh boy..I did not expect them to taste this good. I wasn't really expecting to like Filipino desserts this much, but I can say with confidence, you have to try Filipino snacks if you ever get the chance. Hope you enjoy the video guys, and we'll have a part 2 with snacks next time, so look forward to that :)
Well that's because they actually had a local or someone who is very knowledgeable about the desserts, and even the taste testers are knowledgeable too.
Yeah, Filipino dessert's are so delicious! I tried the maja blanca and leche flan and it was so perfect to my tastes. I tried also the purple potatoes they call it Ube, wow! it was also delicious! Then when you go to the north part of the Philippines there's a dessert called "TUPIG" (roasted glutinous rice wrap with banana leaves) the taste is just like they ate at the video. I love Filipino dessert's🖒 gotta go to Seoul Hyewadong i've heard there's a lot of Filipino foods there~

Really amazing how Filipino desserts are so similar to the ones here in South America. In my country Paraguay we do the peanuts but with honey made out of cane.
It's an aspect of the Filipino hispanic-asian identity. You get asian desserts like the sticky rice treats, suman, biko, etc. And hispanic ones like the leche flan, dulce de leche, brazo de Mercedes, ensaimade, etc.
Dave-hyung THANK YOU VERY MUCH for featuring legit Filipino desserts with comprehensive explanations that is rarely done by others. Thank you again! BTW. Noel looks more comfortable in this video compared from his first appearance. A Gayeon looks so Yeppeo! 🤗
I’m Filipino but live in Australia. Even though I’m more interested in other cultures, it’s nice to see some of my culture every now and then. Thanks for the vid Dave
Why not? Philippines culture has its own richness as well. You can enjoy other cultures as well as your own. I worry filipino culture gives way too much to other foreign presence that we will quickly lose ours completely
Dave's attention to detail really shows in his videos. I especially liked the video game sound version of the Philippines' national anthem at the end. 😍💯
mark’s watermelon omg first off, MAAAARK!!!! I tried to look for it in Gabie's channel but I couldn't find some. But just search up "korean englishman philippines" and a few videos will come up. Turns out, they made an ad for Cebu Pacific.
I agree one of the most unique Filipino dessert. But let's understand them maybe it wasn't available. Maybe Noel bought it from the Filipino Market in Korea that is only open on Sundays when Pinoy OFWs go to church. The other homade dessert have ingredients available in Korea (like rice, egg, brown sugar, peanuts, corn, milk, etc.) purple yam or ube is hard to come by in Korea maybe on another video it will be featured.
@@Thesinistereyes1 lol...Ube mostly found in Mindanao..and we love to make Ube Jam..not really a Luzon thing..Noel didnt buy maybe becoz it isn't available in Korea especially they dont have Ube there
@@chanelherrera3346 People always like to put labels on anything to make things simpler and easier to understand. Yet always it will be much more complicated than a simple label. What I'm saying really is that sure, obviously we'd have some similar practices with our neighboring countries but at the end of the day each country and culture is still distinct and different from each other. So if others are still confused in which label that fits us, then let's just be called Filipinos and call it a day. That's all and thank you for listening to my ted-talk that's kinda unnecessary and not that relevant to the comment I'm responding to but meh.
Oh man, Filipino desserts look so delicious, now I wanna to go to the Philippines to try them 🤗 Oh, fun fact in Mexico 🇲🇽 we also have something similar to penyato, it's called palanqueta
@@markjosephbacho5652 You would find penyato here in the philippines that actually have the same size as plates as well~ I'm slightly surprise how small the penyato was in the vid.
Helloooo, you guys have to try my favorite Filipino desert! Its called Sundot Kulangot, which literally translates to pick boogers. It sounds weird but its so yummyy. This is real I ain’t joking HAHAHAHAH
SOMEONE SEND ME THOSE SWEET THINGS PLS I'M DYING TO EAT 😭 funny how i've never had a toothache even tho I LOVE sweets and eat them every day 😭 now filo desserts just made me curious af 😭
Glad that they liked it, thanks to Noel, he chose the deserts really well although of course there are still more. Also, Lupang Hinirang (Philippine National Anthem) in 8 bit sound sounds so cute in the end at 11:39
Ahh, thanks for appreciating our desserts.. Also, the background music makes me want to play Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald right now. Like, I think I will unearth my GBAdvance SP / DS Lite from somewhere. Hahahaha.
@@roku_nine yeah i remember a while back reading about maybe thailand? Or somewhere around there having a fully coconut sourced building so the roof was palms the entire building was lumber like they even used the actual nuts for something to but its escaping me but it was really cool and looked awesome im pretty sure it was a public government building like maybe a town hall or official office type thing. Anyway i get it but i cant inagine having everything tasting like coconut and brown sugar. Im someone who loves coconut in desserts and theyre much rare in western cuisine and i know a lot of people dont like coconut so seeing so much is like wow like i love black liquorice but its like known to be a hated thing but i know in scandinavian countries its pretty popular and considered like a national type thing like vegemite is to aussies so yeah.
In Spain we have something similar to the peanuts with caramelized sugar and the Yema (which in Spanish means egg yolk, and we call it in plural Yemas) Edit: yay!!! Flan de leche!! One of my favourite deserts
@@Ahonya666 while here, most of us have it during feistas and Birthdays, we also use that for gaming aswell haha! btw I don't like the lengua of this Edcel Dy "Chinese fake Filipino".
Gayeon's name reminds me of the Bicol word for pretty which is, "-Gayon" or "magayon". Btw, bicol is a province in the Philippines. Glad you liked our desserts. 💕
Diabetes is waving.. Hahaha 😂😂😂 Just a piece of advice, drink plenty of water after eating this sweet foods.. And it is not good if we always eat sweets.. But as a Filipino, yeah.. Filipino desserts are really delicious.. 😊😊
Lol he made a mistake does that even matter? I mean duh we all read the title so what(?) What do you even mean no one pointin bruh. Do we all need to correct every little thing 🤦🏻♀️ it's understandable
