There is something soooooo calming about sitting in a good cozy RV when it's raining out. All you need is a good beverage, a laptop or pad, or TV streaming when you are not sleeping and slightly bored. Not a fan of the propane tho. I am a huge fan of all-electric coaches. I live in California, USA so we have a lot of sun so solar panels and lithium batteries is brilliant for us.
Great and yet realistic review. You are the FIRST to show the cassette toilet being cleaned. Bailey made a VERY wise choice getting you two to do their reviews. Thanks.
Thanks for a great review. We've seen many others for various motorhomes, but none which so comprehensively show what they are actually like to live in. The toilet cassette cleaner looked like really good idea too.
Great review and a lovely motor caravan. Good point about the screen between the sleeping areas. Useful for the dog but essential if you went away with friends or family. I’d be interested to know how it is to drive on the road and park up compared to the California. It looks massive and quite daunting to take onto the roads a little information on that in the next van review vlog would be perfect for me! Thanks again, I’m really enjoying your channel.
Good work , first vid I have seen in a million that shows a drop down bed with the bedding on it . Top marks to you both and answered a massive question for me 🙏😉
Wow what a great price for your Cali. Could sell it for near that Now based on used prices I’m finding. The last price increases and delays in supply have boosted residuals that is for sure. (Love your vids have subscribed).
great video but for me the best combination is full T5 camper and caravan. camper for wends short breaks, T5 camper tows caravan for main holidays and then you have the camper to take to the beach. this is what we do and if you look around its a combination that is starting to become popular. for me motorhomes as nice as they are are just not practical once you are on site like popping down the shops, access to certain car parks etc. great video guys but stick with the T5 .
A really good real world practical video, with illustration of use, which is exactly what everyone wonders about unless they are very experienced.... did you try out the smaller 2 berth model yet.. it really makes you wonder why the cali is so expensive, given all this standard kit... the plus is clearly the shower toilet and additional space, but the cali is on small footprint for driving and where you can leave it and park...etc..
Nice video - Interested in the next motor home test video - can you consider the 66-2 - which would be a closer comparison to the California. I think this proves the California's are overpriced - we converted our own T5 panel van for a lot less. As other people have mentioned and we mull over this every trip - although it's nice to have the space and the shower if you have something this big what do you do once you've arrived in an area to explore. The beauty of the campervan is the fact that you can take it (and park it) anywhere because it's car sized. We are considering changing to a motor home but it would be a 6m one max (Adria Compact SP etc), any bigger and there are whole areas of the UK where it would be much more difficult to explore - Cornwall, West Wales, etc
Ever thought about trying out the Swift Rio 340. Not too much larger than the Cali, and you have the drop down bed which would probably be good to keep out of the way of Bentley. And not too much of a de-similar price than the Cali or Advance. It is very similar to a van conversion of a sprinter. Same layout. In a motor home configuration Love your vids Keep up the good work!!!👍🏻
02/09/21. Just watched your video. Enjoyed it but a few things missed about Bailey Advance. The set up for same, and information about the solar panel and the Fuse box and solar charger to leisure battery. Operation of the fridge and cooker using gas. This I believe would be helpful in all cases that you review a motor home/camper van. Don't assume that your viewers are old hands at this! Just a suggestion.
Wow, that vehicle is huge compared to the Cali. I can't imagine anyone driving that around the UK and I could be wrong but wouldn't something that big be restricted to some campsites? Watching you climb over that stile after Bentley made me chuckle.
No the cali is quite small compared to most motorhomes and caravans you can park a tag axel swift kontiki easily at most sites so a 7 meter motorhome would be fine :)
Another fab vid guys, lovely van but id rather have the campervan because of the parking issues and you can use as your daily drive so for those reasons its the camper all day long xx
Great vid as usual guys. Did they manage to prize the Motorhome off you, or is it tucked away in a secret location. Hiring a T6 Cali in two weekends time, for 3 nights have booked in at Glenmore, which I know well, and Glen Nevis first time there for me on the site. Was meant to be a try before you buy on the Cali, but I've always stumbled at the final hurdle of price, cos I know what else is out there for the £53km and this vid has clouded the issue once more. Can't wait for the next review of the different layout. May I ask how old Bentley is, he's a beautiful dog, but he must take some cleaning after the muddy wet walks.
Hi John! Will be interesting to see how you feel after you’ve borrowed one. Certainly something to think about with both options and you’ve got to get what’s right for you. Bentley turns 4 in May. And he’s good as mud falls off him easily! But he likes to be muddy. 😂
Curious if your still planning on reviewing the Kepler One? I could have sworn you mentioned something about that at the caravan show episode. I am dying to get a closer look at it! Great show keep up the good work!
CaliforniaCamping yay!!!! Can’t wait. There are so few videos on RU-vid about it. I’m blown away by the Kepler’s design. So much in such a small space. I hope you’ll test out the shower like you did in this one. Curious if it’s useable or just a gimmick:
Another ace one ,top class review , note ,we always travel with an expandable child gate.so when we want the dogs confinded to one space it comes in very handy.SUN SUN ,we need more sun .Top class vehicle thou .
We didn't go that far in it but for the short trip we did take, it seemed to drive ok. It's like a big van really. Takes a bit of getting used to the extra width but it was plenty powerful enough
Hi guys excellent review of motor home like how u took the time to show all round inside and outside nice van looking for to up coming video of the other van for couples do like lounge area at bak though some where to chill out good work guys all the best .kev
How would you clean the waste cartridge without that machine? If you are not on a camping site, you are unlikely to have that machine close by. Would appreciate any answers.
Which do you prefer California Camping? Obviously the channel name would have to change. But would you change to a motor home if you had the chance? Great vid anyway. Keep up the good work!
How did you find it to drive guys? Would you consider a rear lounge van conversion like the vantage/iH/swift/autosleeper/wildax ect, I really like the shire conversion medium wheelbase mid lounge rear washroom as it has a large area of dog space by the side door, though the rear lounges just seem more cosy
Love the slippers, Lizzie! BTW, when you arrived back at the RV with a very wet and dirty Bentley, what do you bring along to keep the RV clean (and to clean Bentley too)?
If the site has a dog wash we wash him there (as we did on this trip) however we usually just have to use a bucket and some dog shampoo and towel him off outside. Or we attach a shower head to a tap on site and wash him that way. Lots of options!
Campsites should have a similar machine for two pound to stick such as Bentley in for a wash and blow dry. He goes in dirty in one end and comes out the other end all shiny the other (Kind of like a car wash) LOL.
What?... you accusing us of being disrespectful to the product? Not really valid at all... we used blankets and towels everywhere with our dog when necessary. We were told by Bailey to use it how we would our own vehicle. If you were buying a new Motorhome... it wouldn’t be this one because it would be new and if you are buying a used one, you don’t have a clue how it’s been used. So I think your point was rude and not true
Motorhomes are practical but thats it.. its just practical. Its not as cool as a campervan :) Also i'm hanging on to my youth so i'd never (yet!) consider a motorhome lol.
@@ABusAndBeyond Not seen a video guys on your site about the Lake District campsites , are there any in particlar you can recommend with EHU and place for the Awning?
