Getting slowly celebrity status in Poland 😜 Love to see it. Samantha you’re gonna be very healthy after Kwasnica as it’s made from fermented cabbage full of healthy probiotics for your gut flora. Those potato pancakes with mushrooms sauce look so good next time try with a glass of kefir also extremely healthy drink. Yes Fat Thursday is on 24th feb and it’s a donut 🍩 Armageddon in Poland donuts everywhere sort of like pancake day in UK but bigger.

"Gołąbki" and "kotlet schabowy" would be an interesting choice to try in a restaurant, in my opinion :)

Whenever I go back, I eat auntie's homemade placki ziemniaczane z gulaszem, (góralski gulasz is different in that its thicker as apposed to a light sauce traditionally) and golonka from my cousins restaurant. Hope you guys enjoyed the new dishes. Stay safe.

So ... Pączek was with Rose jam most likely and its a most classic version. And yes we eat them on Fat Thursday and we also eat Faworki ont this day. Zapiekanka with cheese and mushrooms, classic again 😋 Pierogi, the ones you had were called Pierogi Ruskie. Pierogi z serem (with cheese) are different. It's confusing as both are with cheese however Ruskie are sour/salty and the one called with cheese are sweet. 😁 Regarding prices just remember you are in the one of most expensive cities in Poland:) It is a great content you creating love watching you 💕

Vege? Try soup coled żurek. Have you ever tried potato or kielbasa from bonefire? Best food when you are outside.

Virtually every region of Poland has its own regional cuisine. You must try Poznań-style duck with warm red cabbage and steamed yeast dumplings in Poznan. The beef roulade with Silesian dumplings and red cabbage is an iconic dish in Silesia. If you are in Podlasie, eat potato cake etc. 😂😂😂 The strangest thing is 'czernina' in Poland. It is a soup cooked on the basis of broth with the addition of duck or goose blood, vinegar and dried fruit. It used to be a symbol of refusing to marry. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Zakopane was the very first place I went to in Poland, and I am still in love with the town! I haven't been to Zakopane in years, but I will get back there again soon! ❤

Jesteście już ekspertami kulinarnymi na Podhalu :) dwa posiłki jednak nie do końca prawidłowo jedzone : 1) kiełbasę jemy z pieczywem białym,plus piwo ;) 2)obwarzanki to TYLKO w Krakowie(nigdzie nie smakują lepiej) i raczej w ciepłe dni,bo inaczej twarde jak skała ;) Pozdrawiam wspaniałych turystów ;)

You eat OBWARZANEK just like that. It tastes much better in summertime. It has specific yummy aroma as well. Now you have to come back to Poland in summer to taste it again!!!!

You are so lovely that it is not supprise that people invite you to their house. Looks like you are already having your polish fan club. I am a member as well. I reccomend you to go and see the Podlasie region and especially Wigry Lake National Park. Best to visit in the summer. There is a place in north East of Poland close to polish lithuanian border. Cheap and delicious foods over there guys!!! Go for "kartacze", "solianka" soup (thats russian cooking taradition), lithuanian version of pierogi called pieliemieni and of course Sieja and Sielawa Fish (that Fish exist only in some lakes in northern Poland and tastes just great!!! Delicate meat with no many fishbones). In general that part of Poland is naturally (not like in the western Europe)multicultural. Polish Belorusian Lithuanian and Jewesh traditions in one. And the Lakes over there are so clean and good for swimming, canoing and sailing. Please dont let yourselves to miss this place. Its really beautiful. Once again great video and I am looking forward to see the next ones🙂🙂

Hi guys! It's so nice seeing you again! With "traditional" polish food it depends of the area you are in at the moment. If you'll ask about our typical food each person will name different dish :) I'm from Silesia and would never say "pierogi" are traditional for me :) Have fun in here and hope to see more of you anytime soon :)

You can actually buy those fried patato chrisps on a stick in Dublin. They sale them in Tayto Park.

As for a beer, go try "Namysłów" - smooth taste and not heavy for your head. Or, a very strong one "Warka Porter" (sometimes hard to get).

So when it comes to Pączki - there are 2 kinds - the one on the video (tastes like a roll with jam) and it's not the real pączek - and the ones which are darker, heavier and they look more "fatty" - those are the real ones, full of flavour, pick one with icing and rose filling as it is pure traditional one- you shant regret it.

Your right the mountain cheese is the best!

"pączek" was with rose jam... don't know is anywhere else but Poland you can eat this... here in Poland rose jam is traditional in 'pączek'

I've drank pilsner urquell and loved it. It's a Czech beer. Saw it there at the bar. Give it a try. $8 USD for each pint or two ? Outrageous for one but better if it was for the two.

This pączek was a really meager. I don't know why. Normally there is a lot more filling in it. In almost every city you can find shops in which pączki are made constantly. They are big as this one, very warm and with a lot filling. I am really suprised that in this case the pączek was modest in filling.

The soup- we call it: zupa chmielowa or hop soup in English 🙂

We eat obwarzanki like they are, no fillings in it, it's like quick street snack, not really food. When you in rush and got munchies you buy obwarzanki :)

Also i want to say that the prices changed so much since the last time i visited my country. 24 zloty for zapiekanka? 😑 i remember the times when they were for less than 10zl

Tlusty czwartek - fat Thursday - then you eat pączki, kilograms of pączki . In Germany also is somewhere the same tradition, but not so widespread but in Poland pączki taste much better! Sorry Germans but it is true. I live in Germany and I'm looking forward to real Polish pączki

Yeah, you can eat "obwarzanek" with some sort of cheese, butter or jelly.

If you like Żywiec and Tyskie, you definitely have some homework to do :D There are much better beers than these two :D

I think obwarzanek is plain becouse is like Samantha says on the go i was eating that a lot when i was little, it was easy food for a kid, u dont get dirty from it and it was easy to eat, also i think it is little to cold for it there xD i bet they lay there for little bit too long or something i remember it being plain but i also remember they wernt this hard xD And when i eat Obwarzanek i also prefer the smaler version ,the one i eat hav like 10 of small rings on string Thos are ma fav ones

The real traditional pĄczki (not pAczki which mean parcels ;) ) have a wild rose jam inside. And they are definitively not so huge. Pączki is not a street food, if you are looking for a good quality :)

7:03 I am sorry you were misled in Zakopane, but the "oscypek" you ate was most probably not the genuine "oscypek"... Original sheep's cheese - oscypek you can buy only from May to October. At other times it is not possible because the sheep give milk only at certain times when they are grazing on the mountain pastures. It depends on them when you can produce oscypek and sell it later. Oscypek is a product which has been listed in the register of products bearing the "Protected Designation of Origin" certificate since February 2008. "The Protected Designation of Origin is a category of products that are produced in a specific place/state or region. The quality of the product and its characteristics are linked to the place where it is produced. Natural, e.g. natural or cultural conditions are supposed to influence the characteristics of the product. The entire production of a product with such a certificate should take place in the place implied by its name. For this reason, oscypek (or in other words oszczypek) can only be produced in the Polish and Slovakian mountains. Due to the EU certificate, Oscypek also has certain parameters that must be met in order to obtain the described certificate and call the product Oscypek. The cheese may be produced mainly from sheep milk (minimum 60%) or with an admixture of cow milk (maximum 40%), its weight should not be less than 600 grams and more than 800 grams. Genuine 'oscypek' has the shape of a two-sided cone (spindle) between 17 and 23 cm long and 6-10 cm wide (at the widest point of the cheese). The place where the oscypek is made, namely in a shepherd's hut, is also very important.
