I'm pretty sure cloud literally did zero DI and was just in awe and dropped his controller. lol. Half of these combos aren't even true. people just get flustered and forget to DI which is our benefit

Just because someone does good with a bad character, doesn't mean they're good. Sure, Peanut can pull off some crazy stuff with Mac, but that doesn't mean that he still isn't bottom tier. Ice Climbers aren't any different.

This character would be way more effective at top level if you still couldn’t tech footstools. Props to that one combo where the guy had the climber cancel the footstool momentum with double jump then neutral b to eliminate the footstool skill check. Some other combos did it aswell

This looks so broken and makes me wonder why ice climbers aren’t in the meta. Then I remember this is super hard to pull off consistently especially in a competitive setting against really good players coupled with the fact that the second climber AI kinda garbage at times and on top of that the traditional weaknesses the climbers have by design… And then I get sad… Because honestly I love watching good climbers gameplay these creative combos are super cool and the character has come a long way from just wobbling and making me fall asleep to a character I genuinely root for!

They are Ice Climbing the opponent. This is incredible! I like this video for more than just the combos even though they are beautiful. I like it because it shows that characters can be brought to levels we can't even imagine and that there's so much more to this game to explore. I respect things like tier lists and so on but I think people forget that it's a constant process of balancing past experience, present situation, and future ambitions. Doing those combos puts your fingers in the hospital they are not easy to do for a reason and honestly perfectly inputted is still a challenge in itself
