Your Aunt Rosa miss my times growing up in S. Jersey with all the Italians. I was 14 and worked at a pizzeria in the summer and how aunt Rosa made her pizza is exactly how we made in da day…. ps I’d never go back and live but I miss it.

For your next stop on the cannoli world tour… Turkey swamp campground then over to Bruno’s for cannolis. You have to call ahead because they only make them fresh. On a rainy weekend, we hit Bruno‘s then take our spoils over to cream ridge winery. Makes a great rainy Saturday.

Happy anniversary! Izzy glad to see you in a Liberty University hat. My son works for LU in the IT department. There are some really good places to eat there. 1. Cavalier Store (Restaurant ) on Rivermont Ave. It’s a hole in the wall local restaurant. Short order and cash only. 2. Kline’s Diary Bar on wards road. Homemade custard style ice cream. 3. County Smoak Barbecue on Timberlake Road. There are alit of restaurants in Lynchburg.

I grew up in Jackson and spent my teens in the neighborhood next to Indian Rock campground. It definitely is more for the budget traveler. The road you were on is Route 528 and the vast majority of it is posted 50mph, so if you were going "almost 50" you were driving BELOW the speed limit. I think most people in most areas would pass you if given the opportunity when you are driving below the speed limit on a clear day. New Jersey drivers are also among the safest in the country (3rd safest based on accidents, DUIs, etc.) Safe travels and remember to keep right! 🙃

If remember right there is a bridge from Virginia beach to Cape May? Very, very long and narrow out over open water? In 1985 we had a new truck and 14' truck camper. We drove over that bridge, that is miles long, during an impending storm. That was a new experience. It was 2 lane, non-divided, traffic in both directions, and one lane was not enough!! We were blown all over both lanes! We ended up 30mph, the only way to keep it in-lane!! There was no on/off once you were on! By far our worst experience driving or towing an RV!! 8( --gary

@@EndlessRVing I looked on Google Maps, it was a long time ago 8) The now "Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel runs from Norfolk VA to the tip of Delaware, in the park, and is Rt 13. Still really long!! We got to Cape May via the Lewes De / Cape May Ferry. That's a 20 mile boat ride over the Delaware Bay with your RV on the Ferry! Not my fav thing to do either LOL I'm a musician and a pilot, boats make me nervous. We also traveled with a motorcycle (BMW) on/in tow one way or another. Another big lesson learned, don't tell anyone your a guitar player unless your prepared to play that night around a huge fire. LOL It starts small, ad's layers around the outside, and can get quite large. I even bought a battery powered combo amp/pa, so when it did get large everyone could hear. I tried to save it for the last night, but I would get caught writing songs, practicing or changing strings etc. People love music and they have no mercy. LOL 8) Peace --gary

Great to watch this video. Brought back memories. When I was in the Navy, I was stationed at the old NAS Lakehurst for 4 years. Search and rescue helicopter air crew/swimmer. I used to train in Barneget Bay. Spent lots of time in Point Pleasant, Brick Township. Eventually moved off base to Tom’s River. Of course, a lot different now I see. Donuts looked good. We are doing a RV run up the area this September, have to ride through and check it out. How many days left? I remember when I left the force. Bittersweet to be sure!

I’m one of your South Carolina followers. I have had NY style pizza in Philly, I know not the same, but it was still good. We do have some good mom and pop Italian restaurants here and can get some really good food. Not like in the NE, but we have real BBQ, so there’s that. Thank for you the explanation of Italian gravy! We bought our last travel trailer from camping world. I didn't want to buy from them but they had the one we wanted. I was on my toes. They will try to scam you. We paid cash, and when i gave them the cashier's check I told her I made it out to scamming world lol. I was just kidding, of course . I told her that's what people call them, and she said she never heard that before. We laughed, she was actually pretty cool 👍🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

In defense of all street cops, at least on the west coast. There was only 1 business open 24 hours (like back in the day when we had 3 tv channels). It was Winchells donuts. You could get warm, drink coffee, write reports (when they were actually hand written) and eat a donut or two. The business’s loved us. Who would even try and rob a Winchell’s.

So cool, such great family time, thanks for bringing us along! As the eggplant parm and pizza was being discussed, my mouth was watering! Also, the donuts and pastry! Not being a donut snob, Izzy, you just like better quality! I've lately embarked on the keto diet, carbs are the enemy, so have to read labels, those delicious items are off the list for me, ugh! It seems that so many types of food are loaded with carbs, hard to keep daily intake to around 20 gms. That and a lot of time on the treadmill and I will hopefully drop a few lbs. Congrats on your start of college Jason and congrats to MJ and Izzy too on your anniversary, you are such a great couple!

There aren't at the shore in NJ either (that I know of after living here for 40+ years). Those beaches are owned by the towns that they are in. They are very clearly publicly owned and managed. The beach pass pays for cleaning the beaches, the lifeguards, etc. With that said, I live in a private HOA neighborhood in the NJ mountains (completely on the other side of the state) and we have a private, man-made lake in the center of the neighborhood. The lake has 2 small beaches that are managed by the HOA/Country Club. Obviously the public isn't allowed to utilize our lake or beaches (the lake is big enough for boats, but they can only be electric due to the noise).

Village Doughnuts makes Krispy Creme taste like supermarket made doughnuts. They truly are miles ahead of any mass produced doughnut out there. And yes, I've had hot Krispy Creme and they really are mediocre at best, if you have ever had real homemade doughnuts.

There is a Amish bakery in Shipshewana Indiana called 'Rise'n Roll Bakery' they call their doughnuts Amish Crack, not my words but theirs, and they are addicting.
