Beautiful Fairy sleeves! Amanda, your reaction to Jen's sock progress cracked me up!!🤣 My travel tip is to bring a neck light.

Hi Haley, Kathleen, Jen and Amanda, Thanks again for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! Beautiful finished objects, especially Haley flowing fairy sleeves, very creative gift for your friend Justine! Can't wait for the pattern to come. Also looking forward to the next sock lesson, great job Amanda! My travel tip is to choose a small project, (like a cowl) bring only what you need for that project and use shorty Knitting needles. Keep cool. Happy Knitting 🧶 😊

Haley I hope your sleeve pattern comes out soon. I’d love to make that for the Renaissance Festival this Fall. You did such a great job! 💕🧶

My travel tip is to get the project to a place where you are happy with the needles you’re using particularly if you’re not traveling with all your needles. When I travel I like to bring two small projects (socks, hat, blanket square, mitts, etc.).

My travel tip is to have something simple and small to knit on, like vanilla socks. You can start by taking one ball of self striping yarn, then buy another ball when you finish the first pair. And then you have an extra pair of socks to wear.

Hi Ladies great episode. My tip is go through your wips and take with you a couple of project that have been sitting around waiting to be completed. Most likely that project bag has everything you need. 😊

My air travel tip: bring extra lighbulb/clip stitch markers and attach a couple to the outside of my project bag. They are easily within reach for a variety of uses including to secure dropped stitches.

I attend a lot of conferences, and my go to project is making a sock tube on 9 inch circulars. It provides so much knitting time without having to take any thought at all!

Travel trip… pack a self addressed, stamped padded envelope with you in case they won’t let you take your needles through security. Then you can drop them in a mailbox to be mailed back home. Or your destination, if possible!

I like to pack small projects that are mindless and easy to stop/start if you need to. Air travel tip: I like to carry a pair of nail clippers in my project bag as those are always allowed.

Love the fairy sleeves. My tips for travel would be to put in a life line in before security. And mark beginning of round and any other important markers a few rows down.

My travel knitting tip is to downsize! Bring only what you need when you’re in the car or on a plane. Put the rest in your suitcase. This helps when you’re working with limited space.

We went on a cruise recently and also had a flight to port. What really helped me I think was needle stoppers. It protected the tips of my needles and I think made them look less “dangerous” when not in use. I didn’t have any issues even when I was at cruise ports. I took a sock wip and a cowl as quick portable knitting. My sock needles actually were able to fit in one stopper but I know they do make different sizes that fit the smaller needles.

Beautiful fairy sleeves and all of the WIPs! (Including Amanda's Jane Jacobs). When I travel I bring a 32" circular, adjustable with magic loop, and, if I'm flying, a WIP that works with a bamboo or wooden needle. I may or may not have dropped and lost several dozen DPN's on buses and planes and trains over the years...

Love, love, love knitting along with your podcast. I always knit while traveling - I like small portable projects for plane travel, larger for car travels. Needle stoppers are definitely a must (even for at home knitting. I also bring yarn that is caked up because I hate to run out of knitting

If I am going on a road trip I always check to see if there are any LYS along the way or at my destination. I use the Road Trip planner on the yarn page of Ravelry. Also, I always bring all my interchangeable needle tips in my luggage with 1 or 2 cables as well as my cable connecters to accommodate spontaneous cast ons.

I travel with my wood hooks. I take the bamboo ones, not my Lantern Moon or Lykke ones, so if the security feels like they need to keep them it is not a serious loss. I have also heard to take a self addressed mailer to send them back home.

Loved the podcast! My tip is something I heard recently. Bring a WIP to finish. Also pack a skein of yarn caked up that can be used with the same needles as your WIP. Once you finish that WIP you have an exciting cast on reward!

I have flown a good bit with my knitting and have never had a problem with security (so far….). But my tip is don’t bring anything on a plane that needs a pattern (unless maybe you’re flying first class!). There’s not enough room. I either bring vanilla socks or a project that is straight stockinette. And that way, too, you can people watch in the terminal. 😊

I always have two projects in case I finish one or run into an issue. Usually one project will be an easy shawl so no fit or try-ons needed

OMG I’m laughing so hard. When I was real little, I stuck a piece of celery up my nose and it got stuck. My dad had to take me to the hospital so they could get it out. And also when I was little, I stuck a bobby pin into a socket and got shocked.

My travel knitting would be anything mindless! Sweater and socks. That is a great idea to put way your needle tips cuz that is what I did once. Just put it in my makeup bag

Aloha from Hawaii ladies! My tip for travel is WIPs! I am in Hawaii on a 2 week business trip and I brought 4 WIPs. Only one is bulky, the others don’t take much more space than a sock. I thought it was overkill when I left but 5 days in and I’ve been working on all on them.

When traveling by plane I bring socks, never on double pointed needles (I have stories of needles rolling down the front seat). I’m in the team that has a hard time emptying the project bags! Haley the Fairy 🧚 sleeves are so cute. From 100’ F DC stay cool and thank you❤
