Love the vet's response to you worrying whether you were doing things wrong. "We watch your stuff, you're doing fine". My suggestion - put that on the wall & ignore the critics. You're a bright spot in my day.
First of all - it makes me smile her vet watches! 2nd it really felt like this vet is going to be so helpful in upcoming years. As far as the internet telling Sandi she's doing it wrong? Really? That's like walking into a grocery store and asking if anyone knows why you have a pimple. Random people Random responses with the qualifications of what? Sandi - stop letting Random people tell you what to do! It's fine if you see another sheep farmer do something you don't do already.... but are you willing to put your livelihood and emotions in the hands of a bunch of teenagers with no life experience? (Analogy people)
You care so much Sandi! Everyone does it different. Greg Judy's style is not your style and vice versa. I guess thats why we are different huh! 💖💖💖 and I love watching you both!
Whose saying you're doing things wrong? Good grief. Sandi, hear the positive and ignore negative unless they are dropping some good knowledge on you. Love watching you and Jess,..
@@iris5678 that is true! So true! Iris, when they complain I hope they are not speaking with a mouth full of food that a farmer grew or meat from ranchers ! God Bless
Hi Sandi! I don’t think that you ever do anything wrong. I would rather you hear all medical information from a veterinarian instead of “armchair OB quarterbacks “.
We all make mistakes occasionally...that is totally different from doing deliberately wrong. Mistakes are part of life and important to learn and grow. It is never quite pleasant to admit we made than and takes courage to look at them, to accept them and grow by them. It takes a strong strong and healthy personality to do that is such an open and public way as you do Sandi. I very much admire you as a person and the length you go to share your work and daily life with us.
Oh dear Sandi, all these armchair vets. Pay them no mind, I think the proof of how good you are at rearing sheep is in the amount of lambs you have and how quick you are to treat any problems that arise. You seem a strong, confident and capable woman to me, you keep doing what your doing girl x
Sandi, this helps me, Follow The One Week Rule, Whenever someone criticizes or upsets you, ask yourself. “Will I care about this a week from now?” It will help put things in perspective and make you feel better about yourself.
Sandi, Now the vet. has had a saying. You. Are. Doing. It. Right. Full stop. Now take a big broom and get rid of the "know-it-alls" (they don't seem to know a thing!) and stand tall. You are doing awesome. Lots of love!
Please listen to the people who love and support you. Read peoples suggestions, use what you think may help, and ignore the rest. YOU know your situation. You are getting information from two vets, your feed guy, etc. Personally, I think it is great that you are going back further in your records and looking for trends. You are a super lady and I look forward to your videos every day you post. Hugs and much love my friend.
I'm so glad you've finally rooted out the potential source of a big problem! And don't feel bad about not figuring it out before, Sandi, you did the best with what you could. We're constantly learning and adjusting our methods no matter what field we're in. It's a natural process. But just because we develop new methods, it doesn't mean our previous efforts were bad or useless. No different here. You do a good job Sandi, you're a good farmer and a good shepherd
A boss a long time ago would say after one of us messed up, "what have you learned from this? As long as we learned from our mistakes it was ok. If we didn't learn, then they took issue....
Sandi, I’m so glad things are turning around and you’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for the Preg tox ewes. This is your business and not a Petting zoo when all is said and done. You’re doing an amazing job.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sandi Brock... You ROCK! This is why you are an incredible shepherdess, you have an issue with your herd and you don't stop till you resolve the issue! This issue devastated your heart, it is a painful learning lesson. The additional bonus is others will learn from your experience!!! Love ya, Sandi!!! Keep up your hard work!!
I love that, they have a bite of a hover mother..as a midwife. Lol.. who says you don't care, it shows in your everyday activities. Look at they way you are tracking down the how the problem is occurring. Alot of farmers would just chalk it up to bad luck, but you are determined to find out why it is happening in your groups to start with. You are amazing.
This channel was recommended because I watch white house on the hill. And i was binge watching lamb births til nearly 3am this morning. And i subbed today 😁
Welcome! This is such an amazing channel and Sandi is the reason. We come for the lambs, but stay because she’s so awesome. Be sure to check her out on Instagram, too.
I love how you call them Ewe's Stealers and new lamb Runner way. I think it is adorable and also how you adopt the lambs on another MUM that lost how lambs that is a lovely thing to do.
I love how you have such laid back, 'farmer next door' vlogs, but then i look at the number of people who've subscribed to you Please never change, Sandi ❤
i said this in the last video, but I'll put it here too. Tie the lambs legs together( velcro strap) when you put them in the lamb taxi so they'll stay put. I learned that from a cow farm channel, they have a calf taxi and that is what was recommended to them to keep the calves in the taxi.
Wouldn't that be more effort than just simply carrying the lambs to the pen, since it's just a short distance? You'd have to catch the lambs, velcro through their struggling, repeat 1-3 (sometimes more) times, then taxi them over. The taxi was meant to expedite the process, so adding more work than you'd have to do otherwise wouldn't be ideal. Those are just my thoughts; maybe velcro would indeed make the process more efficient as you say
There is a gadget that use on the front legs ...under each stretched out front leg and over the head. ....quick to attach. If they can't lift the head they can't get up. Has a half hook either end strap in between
@@krystals9282 Didn't know that. I was a goat person and that wasn't the case with them. Come to think of it I did see some Tunis Sheep appear a different shade at times. Thanks for the info.
Yep, hearing or reading things at a different time can have a big impact on our brains. Thank goodness for the Gallagher. Finding the “flag” that alerts you to certain problems will be the key. Like those computer folks say, good data in good data out. It will take more of your time computer wise but I think the (praying) end result will certainly be worth it.
Do you know what a great start to the day is at 6:30 am - woken by my dogs who were trying to tell me I starve them - Sandi Brock has put up a new vlog - going to be a great day
No. Alter whose fault. Mistakes are for learning. It beautiful to see how you are so honest. Just be gentle with yourself. The frustration was always more because you didn’t know what was happening. That’s the beauty of your vlogs you keep looking for the answer good for you
I'm so proud of you. You got this pregtox figured out. You will achieve your goal next year. Thanks for taking the time to make these wonderful videos. 😄
Sandi! Love the colors your ewes are throwing but really love your smile today. Glad to see the you seem to be in a better head space! Could we please have a glimpse of Miles now and then if you can work it in? #superfan
I love hearing the babies bleat (?). They sound so tiny....... May I sincerely Thank You for your videos. I’ve chuckled, laughed and cried right along with you. All I can say is my sincerest Thank You again for your time and effort to bring us what you love.
When the ewe at 15 minutes started her lambing run I realized after a while I was holding my breath! I do not care what RU-vid says about your x rated video's, they take my breath away!
I think Sandi is being discriminated against. There's other channels --Fresian Horses; Blue Cactus Dairy Goats, & My Wyoming Life that shows their babies born. In some instances, even the breeding is shown!
Dont ever think you do everything wrong, I have never seen anyone who so obviously loves her animals, your a woman I would be proud to be and aspire to x
I dont know if this could be helpful but it came to mind that you could do a few emergency stations that could house the things you run back to your office for during lambing time. have like front middle back so you dont have to go far to get to the things you need. btw i love watching your videos.
I was thinking this too, but I couldn't find the right words. Could they go under the windows or just in a carrier? You might have to move the carriers at feeding time, but that wouldn't take that much time
Glad you’re getting answers to your questions. Gathering data does help. Sometimes we just don’t have the right questions to ask or not sure how to read the data. Sometimes it takes someone else to steer us in the right direction to find the answers.
Great video as usual. Just love to come see all that's going on. I have a request... Could you possibly leave your text up a little longer. It is hard to read that fast. Yes I actually go back if I have to but it would be easier if it was a little longer. Thanks for all you do.
Well done Sandi! The data will always help in these situations. Sometimes we just need a fresh point of view to help see. So glad you are feeling better about your production sheep.
Don't forget to mark the lambs of these sheep as ship! Don't get them in your next breeding group. Also now you know the data of these sheep, now you could check their levels and pretreat them before they go down. Good job finding this! Keep it up!!
You do an amazing job with your flock. It's always helpful to get different opinions as long as they are from professionals...not the armchair farmers. Your Gallagar is invaluable and you're on the right path! I love seeing how your confidence has grown since you first started. God bless you and yours.
You aren't doing things wrong Sandi, just took that new vet to say things a different way. Then a light bulb went off in that great brain of yours and put it all together. You just lack self confidence is all, your doing a good job. Keep on keeping on.
I'd rather hear anything negative from a vet than anyone else cause the vet will know if you're doing it right or wrong and from you said they said to you, you should be proud of yourself.
Quit the negative crap. You are great at what you do. Some people think they know it all. Give yourself some Grace. Please continue doing what you do. I don't raise anything and I have no sheep but I love your channel. Please think positive.. Ignore the know it all aholes who try to bring you down. If I ever want to raise sheep you have taught me a ton. Thanks
I am so glad you are getting information to get answers for your girls. It’s hard when you can’t figure out where to start. Funny you say the new vet was saying the same thing in a different way - sometimes that’s all it takes. To the naysayers - if it’s so easy every one would do it. The bumps are what you climb on and learn from. I so appreciate your willingness to let us all in on your life. It’s a bright spot in the day for me and lots of others. ❤️
That's Betty!!!! You definitely know your girls!!! This is another great video, as always!!! LOVE how the vet said they watch your stuff, and you're doing good!! That had to make you feel awesome!!! With that, ignore the negative Karen's ... they're not in your barn! LOVE when the videos are full of lambs, bottles, birthing, and YOU talking about your numbers and data!! It's just so awesome to see and hear everything coming together. My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!! I am one of Sandi's Sheeple!!
Sandi I so get explaining in a different way. Then it registers. I have to explain things differently all the time to my family cause my brain is wired different than theirs. I look for your videos every day and get something out of each one. Don’t let the negative people get to you! You are an inspiration to me!
So happy your getting things figured out sandi, i know this is hard but you got this! ❤ thank you for sharing everything with us.. The good and the bad..we are here for you always ❤ This is my favorite part of the day seeing all the shenanigans these sweet babies do ❤ Love n hugs from Michigan
Check out Sonne Farms Machinery Shuffle Time 13:36 It’s a very simple baby mover that they can’t jump out of and you can hang on the back wall when not using. Mark should be able to even make you a smaller model with some conduit and a plastic barrel
I am so impressed on how much you care for your sheep and dig thru your data to help you see things. It doesn't matter how long we do things, we are always learning. I love your Gallagher system. I'm a data analyst, you are rocking it.
Did the huge, wide mama have her babies? I must have missed it if she did. I haven't seen her lately. You are such a blessing to these sheep and lambs. No one could possibly care about them as much as you do.
Sandi. That sounds good on the preg tox but not only good but great maybe you have found the mising part of the puzzle. Happy for you Sandi Brock that is what makes you a great sheep farmer.
Sandi, you amaze me on how you are willing to look into the causes of what is going on with your flock and do your very best to have healthy happy sheep. Keep up the good work! You are an inspiration!
Sandy you're awesome and so dedicated to your flock's well-being. You do everything you can to save all of them. Please don't blame yourself, you are doing all you can to keep them safe and well. You got this lady. Enjoy your farm and your flock and family! Keep on keepin on. You're on it better than most people. You're a deep thinker and try to figure out how to fix every difficulty in your barn. 👍👍👍👍🥳😁😘🤗🥴
Don't listen to the Negative people, Sandi. You are doing a great job. Most people are just armchair farmer, who think they know best. Take care and know that most of your viewers love your videos. Stay Strong !
Yp Our Eureka minute @13min was very enjoyable to watch. If you haven't already try pivot charting all your data and try different combos. Graph them out and see if there are any correlations. You keep at it therefore you are doing great! :)
The look of relief on your face says it all. You have realized the thing that was missing". Now you can fix that unknown that has had you worried for quite awhile. You are no longer carrying that burden on your back, it has been solved. Your research will provide the key for this problem in the future.
Having been a subscriber for a handfull of years now I must say Ive noticed you are less stressed now that you are doing less pulls and letting the girls do majority of the work. Its brilliant to see. You are amazing Sandi ❤🐑🐏❤
The only thing I don’t like about your daily vlogging is that I get attached to them so when I don’t get my daily fix I feel like I’m missing something 😢 also I always feel like your vlogs are too short... I’d be good with a movie length vlog everyday 😂😂😂 have you ever thought about setting up a web cam??? Maybe get patreon set up so a level gets to always see the barn!!!!!
Always makes my day when I can see Sandy and Lambs. My friends herd in WV is starting to have Lambs. She lets them free range until almost time then puts them in Barn. Coyotes and Wild Dogs are bad here. So bad she put a Donkey in with each Cattle herd and I think Sheep also. If not it's a Live Stock Guardian Dog. Thanks for the Cuteness. I'm recovering from a Major Mouth Surgery and this always helps. Peace from WV USA
If you have a lot of ewes that are open at a scan could you put them in pen together on a very basic feed almost like a diet for a few weeks. Would that make a difference by getting rid of some of the extra fat they get while on the flush ration. Love your videos. stay positive. You so the best for all your animals and its very obvious that you care deeply. Don't let any haters get you down.
Don’t listen to negative people they are just jealous because you are the best youtuber there is and I love your videos they make my gloomy days brighter
So Sandi, how old will the studs be before they are replaced with younger or newer ones? Or are they viable into older years? Not sure if you covered this before. You are sounding better with what this new vet said to you. Having some positive feedback is how you push on. I love the fact that they watch your videos. Doing stats is proving to be how things will improve . Knowledge is power. So proud of you Sandi.
Sandy, there are a lot of people who either know little or nothing about livestock, esp. sheep, who are quick to judge. They don’t understand all that you are dealing with and the sheer volume. It’s easy when you have no skin in the game to criticize. Trust yourself while trusting the Lord and you will be and are now doing fine. God Bless -The Hillbilly Preacher
It takes so many positive remarks to take away one negative! People should stop abusing others!!! I am glad that you are looking into things that YOU want to look into. You are very smart to keep info and review the information. (Not just numbers)
Sandi Thank You very much for the videos and the fire side talk on preg tox problem. This is what makes you Ms. Sandi Brock very special to watch with her sheep farming. Please do not change as something new is learned in each video. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment.
These are so educational for me! As a shepherd with a small flock I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your experiences. Even sharing little things like the importantance of record keeping. It's makes me want to do better!
What an enjoyable vid! I really appreciate how you share what’s going on and the conscientiousness you have for your work. Those lambsydotes are also extremely adorable! 🦌❤️💌🐑☕️🙏🇨🇦
