Welcome, RU-vid Minecraft viewer, to Hermitcraft Season 10! I am a proud member of Hermitcraft, and this will be my 7th season on this amazing Minecraft SMP server!
Hermitcraft is a Minecraft SMP server featuring some of RU-vid's best and most talented Minecrafters. The server is 100% Minecraft Vanilla 1.20.4! This is Hermitcraft Season 10, and we are joined by two new Hermits, Skizzleman and Smallishbeans.

It looks great! I was assuming from the schematic that it was a landing bay for off world cargo ships and personnel shuttles 🤷‍♂️ kinda like the reciever bay at a DHL or something. A garage for Gigamobiles is a great idea too though!

The 0,0,0 block being granite is perfect for your GigaCorp lore. The granite matches the color scheme of the planet you settled on. It could be that the 0,0,0 block is the Origin Block for the landscape, it crashed into the planet and began spreading its "effects" across the surrounding land, mutating plant and animal life. If you want to get super-deep with the lore, it could be the cause of the zombies and living skeletons, and all the other undead mobs. Love the season so far!

I'm pretty sure the coordinate block is the space your feet are in, and not the block you're standing on. When you go through the bedrock layer, if there is one block between you and the void, your coords are 0 -63 0, so that last block is 0 -64 0. If the coords you're standing in are 0 1 0, the block underneath would be the 0 0 0.

HANGAR bay should be for FLYING vehicles, really. So you could build something that looks like a hovercraft in there. Its position is no good for land vehicles, since there's no space for maneuvering out front. But it WOULD make a fine stable for horses. That's what I'd use it for. Put some gates on the front, add some hay bales and cauldrons for water and maybe some fence posts as tether points and barrels for golden carrots and leads, and you can move in a couple horses, donkeys, mules, even a camel or a pig or two if you want!

Hey, ren. Those sand blocks you left on the roof are spawn able. You'll most likely get ghasts or skeletons, iirc. Be ready when you fly back out to fight on arrival and spawn proof after.

That is the method I use to break bedrock. I usually have to swap my key bindings for the placing mouse click to a keyboard key to get faster “clicking”. I always go into a creative world to practice before doing the real thing.

If you need some vehicle ideas, you might want to check out a game called Astroneer. Fits the color/ sci fi theme and has several vtol and transport vehicles that aren't to big.

I feel like there should be some small hinges connecting the storage pit to the hangar, to imply that when it landed, the hangar was on top of the storage pit, sealing it shut, but unfolded once it landed to create two seperate structures

Two suggestions. One, as much as we in the community love and appreciate when you work with us, in the spirit of this season's emphasis on interaction and collaboration, might I suggest working with/ getting lessons from another hermit for the vehicles. False and Pearl have done great vehicles. Beef's new tractor is spot on. Or if you want to nerd out with a fellow sci-fi fan, grab Scar and go to town. Any of those would be a great stream as well. Also, you might want to label the 0,0,0 shulker so frazzled streamer brained Ren doesn't grab it by accident when scrounging for shulkers as we all shout in the background.

As I understand it the xyz coordinates are tied to the player head, and since the player is 2 blocks tall you actually picked up the 0 -1 0 block. But even if I'm right Ren you can just tie that into the GIGACORP storyline, I imagine having the wrong block could have profound effect on the facilities calculations.

Actually I think the coords are the coords of the feet so I think he got the right one A way to check would be, go into crawl mode with F3 open and see if the y goes down 1

@@eliad6543 Sod me, looks like they changed it haha, you are correct and so is Ren, just checked the wiki. I started playing the game just as the Beta came out so I guess there are still are a few things to relearn, can't believe I thought the Y coordinate was at eye level all these years.

@@kaspermygenfordt2323 Honestly I was doubting myself when you said it was the head. I don't remember when I noticed it being the feet, maybe around 1.14, but playing since 1.9 and never remember it being the head at all. So that might be a really old change.

Idea for transportation! Instead of (or in addition to) carrying all of your ender pearls in your inventory, you set up GigaCorp TeleportationRelays at certain junctions along your base that incorporate some storage block filled with pearls. That way you would always have some close at hand without needing to use four inventory slots on them.

A thing you can do when breaking bedrock is to rebind your place block button to a keyboard button so you don't have to spam click or use an autoclicker. Holding a keyboard button "clicks" faster than a mouse beyond using the scroll wheel to place a block. Technical explanation(for nerds like me, feel free to correct me though): The reason why the bedrock is broken is due to a lagspike caused by TNT getting set off, a redstone update(pistons), and spam clicking to place a block (because it still sends packets to the server eventhough you can't.). The lagspike is only felt in like a microsecond so it's one of the more considerate bedrock removal methods compared to ones that lag the server for multiple seconds. Now, it's not solely the lagspike that removes the bedrock, the piston being BUD powered for a single frame when it is placed as the original is destroyed by the TNT blast causes the piston to extend downwards, causing it to replace the Bedrock below it but, the next frame correctly places the piston back to an upwards position (due to an abundance of packets being sent to the server.).

Amazing as always, Ren!! Love your stories and I love the build theme/palette this season. For the 0:0:0 block, have that be integral for transuniversal transportation. It’s essential for GigaCorp personnel to reliably teleport to newly explored/settled worlds!

GG Ren! Also, as a tip for future Bedrock Breakage, you should also bind your "use" button to a button your keyboard (I usually use R), and HOLD IT DOWN while trying to place the piston. Spamming the Right Mouse Button also works, but it has the downside of only working 25-50% of the time. Holding the key bind button works almost every time, as I've made several 3x3 nether roof (Elytra) holes already on my own server.

Story suggestion : while traveling from planet hc-9 to hc-10 part of your ship got detached and crashed into another planet now you must get out of that planet and attach with the other part of the ship (which has landed on hc-10 and you have your hologram there )

Then on the otherside of the portal, you could make a void room and hold the block in suspended animation? Imagine, an all black room, with nothing but a mysterious granite block floating in the center

Ren if you use the powder snow under a carpet trick you could make it look like there’s such a low gravity that you don’t get hurt if jump that high from the top ledge of your new hanger.

Indeed the permits freshen up the game in that you guys don't stick to doing what you typically do but try out something new. Like you making a Wither skull farm. That's also reason why I don't like the trading of permits not too much as taking on a challenge once every few years by building, maybe even creating, a farm that one has never built before makes things just a whole lot more interesting. But the permits are something I'm quite glad they were introduced - and they should be kept in following seasons (with less trading from the start - maybe at some point down the line Permits could be traded and new owners could modify existing farms or build their own farms then).

I am really enjoying watching so many Hermits going at a slower pace this season! It's so encouraging being able to _see_ what's happening, instead of, "Oh, and I built this mega farm after that last clip; here it is." I have actually finally pulled up my big girl panties this week and gone end-busting for the very first time evar (I've been playing since 2014), so next up is going to be getting some skulls to get my very first vanilla survival nether stars and make my very first beacons, and then I'll be wrangling shulkers to farm shulker boxes! Or in other words, :fistbump of solidarity for doing new things:

@@catboygremlin INORITE??? Getting dragged into Modsauce shortly after I first got Minecraft pretty much ruined me for vanilla. Jevin and Cub make it look _so easy,_ but I still had to go creative to kill the dragon in singleplayer even with beds. >.< But at least now that I've gained the End, it should be easy to cheese the wither under the exit portal. (I miss reinforced obsidian wither cages!) I know I just have to place the tail in the right spot to make sure the head goes into the spire so it will suffocate, and there are plenty of tutorials for that.

I agree! I love the slower pace and that many of the hermits are minimizing their flying around. Hermit to Hermit interaction is often the best part of their videos.

just an idea, but i think honey block bubble elevators in the cornes would be really cool, it would match the color scheme so it would blend in well, and be a quick easy way up and down if you wanted

i have the image of the hangar bay arriving as a big box, where the storage areas are all collapsible into the garage area. if for some reason you need to move to a different location on the planet, you can just fold it all up, pop out some wheels, and take all your storage with you

About breaking bedrock: You can just hold right click, although it being a server there is a chance it desyncs and fails, another thing that you can do is just change place block to mouse scroll...

Hi Ren. I was thinking, since you're going to have access to a lot of beacons you can make a nice addition to the exo-planet lore. You can scatter beacons around the terrain and give it jump 2. This simulates less gravity feeling.. Love the series. Greetings from SA.

You should Etho's method of item storage where he keeps almost every block in the game in shulkers he keeps in his ender chest. then just take the ender chest everywhere and you will never lack for anything

since your access point is from the roof anyway, how about placing the afk spot above the fortresses so you load *just* the parts of the fortress you need for wither skeleton farming? It should massively cut down on the area you need to spawn proof.
