Our church as well believes in baptism as an outward act of an inward commitment, and we also wait until our children (or however old) are at least 8 or older and make the choice themselves, knowing what they are promising to Jesus. I love that your church also teaches this beautiful way of consciously making that choice! So happy for all of you!

This is so special, and I congratulate you on waiting to baptize your children. As someone who was baptized at 7 (but didn’t exactly have biblical teachings brought to my heart so had zero understanding of what was happening ), then spent my lifetime as an atheist, and then came to God maybe two whole years ago, having my children choose to get baptized and to make that commitment to God is exactly how I want us to do this. I’m hoping that by touching their hearts with the word of God, rather than pushing things onto them it will lead them to a life where they know the love of God in their hearts as opposed of just knowing of God.

My, then 8 yr old son, asked Jesus into his heart and was saved in October last year. He decided a few months ago he was ready to be baptized. My brother is a pastor and was able to come into town to our church and baptize my son just 4 weeks ago. It was so special to our family and my mama heart was so full of joy. I believe once saved always saved so I know my child will be with me and Jesus in Heaven one day! I'm so glad God gave me and my husband our son for us to raise on this side of Heaven! 😊

Wonderful to hear about the baptisms! In my faith tradition (grew up Lutheran, now Catholic), we baptize infants, but it’s also so special to see those from other traditions make that choice as older children or adults. Blessings to your family!

Hearing about your boys made me tear up! I’ve been following you for years now and have always loved your videos! I’m a pastors kid and I was baptized at 10 years old and my parents taught me and but let me make the choice for myself. Now im 30 with two little girls of my own trying to teach them and show them Gods love and read the bible with them and can’t wait for the day they too will be baptized! We're going to Disneyland for the first time with our family and we're SO EXCITED!! 🎉 Congratulations to you guys for Liam and Judah's baptism! 🥰 I'm so proud of them and how special that Wesson gets to baptize them! As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we get baptized at the age of 8, though it can happen any time after that. It's just the minimum age. But, the thing we do as well after a certain age is enter our temples as recommend holding members at the age of 11/12 and anytime after the age of 18. (A recommend is basically a pass that is given by our church leader saying that we are considered worthy to enter our most holy space to perform work for ancestors who didn't receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ while on earth.) I love what you shared in your video today about them coming to Christ on their own! That is so beautiful! I'm so proud of them! 🥰
I love that Weston is baptizing your boys!! My son-in-law baptized his three boys and it was such a blessing!! My oldest grandson that we are going to visit in Washington actually works for Youth for Christ there so that is our upcoming trip as well as going to see another grandson and his wife in Texas and are excited to see what they are doing in their church!! So like you we have 2 trips back to back as well and we feel so blessed to have grandsons and wives that like spending time with us as adults!!! Hope you had a wonderful 2 trips

Such an exciting announcement! In our home (and church) there isn’t an age either. My oldest waited until his was 14, my middle decided at 9 and now my youngest 7 (twins) have been asking about it. We definitely do not force it and let it happen organically. So special that both of the boys and your husband were all part of it!
