I don’t think people know how HARD coding actually is. You need coders, animators and lots and lots of time. A lot of people don’t even understand how to do this. Also, in 3 months, they made a working crab fight which needs to be tested with all of the moves within the game, you can play as the crab, showing its move sets, gojo’s wall combo and 3 suiryu ultimate moves. Plus, they’re probably going to remake it in the future since they needed an update and dropped everything they’ve done. People don’t give animators and coders enough respect.

@@ThanhHuynhphap twin fangs doesnt have good travel and has bad endlag if misses, earth splitting strike also has bad endlag if missed, and is hella predictable, and i forgot to mention, if you do land twin fangs, they can immediately evade after the final kick and hit you because hitting it also has bad endlag
6:19 it was so nice to not have a character that took basically three months to get their base move set. I’m very happy that Sario Siru? Idk how to spell his name was able to have the capability to kill someone rather than you can pull someone and that’s it.
The thing most of this community (the kids) doesn't understand is that suiryu literally has close to no screen time. He's not flashy, he's not an outstanding character in the anime he's just a martial artist saitama fought in a tournament. The developers have close to nothing to work with so quite literally anything cool in a month or less would be fine for this character because at least we got SOMETHING in a month😭😭😭

Still, i think they should add something that comes from other pieces of media (like that rock-lee move or whatever the dude was called). I understand that its hard for them to grab references from the anime and even they themselves create new moves since they might not know how to fight and the move might look ugly and goofy, but they still can grab characters who are similiar to suriyu and use them as reference
Bro, the ult moves are actually cool, i loved the twin fangs move, but the fact here is, people expected way more than that, like bro the ult start is an literal dragon, u cant just say " hes just an martial artist" the ult moves are good, but not enough.
Suiryu is a martial artist, he doesn't have superpowers or anything like that, he's a guy who uses techniques like Garou. So like his moves wont be as flashy as Tatsumaki but still he needs more impact frames.

I would say the ultimate moves are completely fine. Rising Fist can be paired with Earth-Splitting Strike, but deals bad damage. Twin Fangs is fine. It’s basically just Brutal Beatdown but only hits one player and has no aoe. And Earth-Splitting Strike is amazing. I love the cutscene. It just looks so cool. I actually never knew about the gears you can get from build mode. And when it comes to the stereotypical view of Suiryu, I hopped on the train of “Garou 2.0” mostly because I never expected any unique stuff from him. Zombieman and Child Emperor have unique aspects to them that would be cool to see in-game, but we got Suiryu first. He’s a martial artist, so he wouldn’t have any unique stuff like regeneration or robots to his character (since he’s human of course). I just wanted to see something unique out of a character.
@@Coolman11111 While I did say it can be paired, it is a terrible pair-up. I have no idea what I was thinking when I said that. And while it may be true that hitting Earth-Splitting Strike is easy when done raw, sometimes you can hit someone that you didn’t mean to hit. Pairing it with moves like Twin Fangs can let you hit a target more precisely.
I wonder if zombieman's ult would be similar to hakari's in jjs. He can regen really quickly but his ult duration shortens when he does (this would mean he would survive deathblow weirdly enough)

the idea that might make the other moves cooler for ults could be the 4th instead of being an actual move, it would buff a single move in turn for landing a counter or something(the counter wouldnt be op but it would literally just buff the moves and also add time to the ult and increase the effects on them, this would make siryu timing incredibly useful in the ult to give you more time to cause chaos[this makes sense as siryu's moves for ult seem to be single target instead of stupid aoe like other ults, would balance it out])
Its annoying that people say his moves are mid, 1. He's a martial artists, quite literally his title in game he cant be that flashy, expecting amazing quality from a human character is just absurd 2. Not even insanely high. The first move in ult is objectively mid visually and gameplay wise. Sure it can confirm but m1s can too. Considering its literally one of he most popular anime games on the platform the expectations are reasonable
Not really. We just want something that isn't a normal ass punch for an ULTIMATE move. There are a million ways to make the first move actually fit an ult while still keeping the original functionality of extending into the third move

I feel like rising fight should be a double click move like jjs mahoragas earthquake, you should have to time it, if you get ti wrong it's the same as normal, but if you time it right it does like a cool cutscene
oh btw, wellworks, the third move from the awakening, doesnt need to be entirely aimed, as you can MOVE where it goes with shift lock AFTER u have activated the ability. Anyone can try this, go into private server, or public, get awakening, activate, use third move and just look any direction, and then look to the right or left or even behind you, and it will go that direction too.
Top coolest gears: (u can also use gears mid attack) Sword of light/Sword of darkness: Both can change the time and have special moves Icedagger: Freezes + if used on an Npc like the dummy, completely destroys the asset and they will nolonger respawn. Gravity coil: cool Venom Shank: looks cool if used with something like twin fang
Because his a martial artist he doesn't have superpowers or anything his like garou yk it's the worst ultimate but it works. And he got like the most little screen time on the show it's so little to work with.
I honestly prefer having some simpler ult moves compared to all of them being super-flashy moves where all of them have cutscenes. It makes the character feel more put together.
Fun fact about earth splitting strike that not many people know of: if you turn your character when using it, you can change the direction of the attack before it hits to make it easier to catch people. Just make sure you learn how to turn it and how fast you turn before using it that way to make it easier to control where it hits
I don’t think they need to make a whole knew move to replace the first move or give it a finisher or whatever, however they should add a “use twice” feature so when you punch them and use it again it dashes/ teleports behind them (before you say that’s not possible cause he’s a human yadda yadda yadda, he can cause he 1. Turns into a dragon 2. In twin fangs he uses claws? And 3 he does the same thing in earth splitting fury as in teleports) then throws them up, jumps up, back kicks them and slams them down. Sorry for yap sesh.
The problem with the third move is that if you were hit by it, sometimes it flings you out to space and out of the map, it could also clip you in the wall if you were close enough.
He has the easiest 100% combos without even using his special (3) move. The dash move is also the easiest set up for them too. 3 is literally death, how is that not impactful.
@Seriouslysankey I think by "impactful" he meant flashy or look cooler, not as "stronger / more op" cuz he only says for the punch move Seiryu has in his ult and I agree but Garou as a whole does not have more impactful moves than Seiryu

Tbh I think we all forget that suyrui is a marital artist and his ult will look like a Garous ultimate and that a super flashy crazy move like terrible tornado doesn’t make sense the ult is good it has a 1 shot combo and has much better moves than Garou an ult NEEDS TO WORK that is the most important part of an ult and suyruis does work very well

oh yeah, with earth splitting strike, u can move its direction by moving ur camera so if a player side dashes to the left then move ur camera to the left and it will hit them
Something I want to point out. The 3rd ability weak tracks where you look so, if someone dashes to the left or right, you can curve the 3rd ability at them still.
thing is, earth splitting can be aimed with the camera (changes where the little impacts are, thus creating easier hits) and can be hit if you aim it even after the opponent side dashes
3rd ult move is slightly controllable, like you can curve it a bit, each little ground explosion thing can be moved a bit before it appears, so i think lock on with the move can actually be very strong. (it follows where you look a little)
7:26 there is just one single con that i did discover while i was in duels. Basically, like with whirlwind drop finisher, there is a slight chance that you could get out of the finisher and not get hit and die by it.
Rising fist should get a "use twice" just like vanishing kick, maybe make the angle in which you send the target a bit more up, so the use twice could be a slam of some sorts
Man, I really liked the idea of "side dash before earth splitting strike". I think really cool would be you can side dash IN this animation (while you are on the air) but if you side dash would be AOE variant, like the third move of this new character, but you make a little dragon.
I know im not the first one to do this, but you could do vanishing kick -> m1 -> side dash with bullet barrage -> and as soon as it throws the enemy down to the ground u use vanishing again. its just something cool with high dmg + its completely true. suiryu has alot of opportunities for techs, combos, hard combos, etc, but its just that the suiryu moveset is so good people just use the moves randomly which makes others think that its a skill less spammy character. also, u could do something like loop dash tech but with vanishing kick, which doesnt make them get knockbacked (if u hit them on torso) so u can combo extend off of it suiryu could also be like saitama because it can have good and ez starter combos
if u move ur camera around with shiftlock while u use earth splitting strike, u can kinda tweak around. it dosent go in a staight line, u can make it go zig zag or round and round. just sayin.
I think Suiryu's moves fit the character. He's a martial artist. He's not meant to have these powers, he uses techniques to fight. So his moves are going to be similar to Garou's
did you know that once u use the third ult move for suiriu, you can navigate the earthquake to where your looking at while its animation is happening. so like if the guy ur tryna hit is walking side ways when you use the move, you can keep stairing at the guy and the move will follow him
personally, the third move is my favorite ultimate move out of any battlegrounds game (including jjs domains), i think everything except rising fist was absolutely amazing

Honestly I think it’s just people not liking that they’re not as high-scale as people expect ultimate attacks to be. But to be honest I think they’re great despite that, and it actually kind of works in their favor.
It would be amazing if Rising fist had another vfx and launched you up a little, like when Suiryu did it, I think his arm muscles made a little air shockwave effect when he grabbed and did the attack to this red horned guy in the tournament. They could make it a grab like in the anime and do the shockwave effect, and maybe damage the ground to make it more epic
the reason why martial artist's moves are not that flashy is because in the ANIME, the character in question is a MARTIAL ARTIST (obviously) and not some guy who got granted some powers out of nowhere
Hes a martial artist with no real special powers, just like garou. Their moves are simple, yet effective. They arent flashy and the combo into each other REALLY well. THAT is why his ult is so "boring". I personally love it and will likely main Suiryu from now one, close-combat characters like him are fun
I really hope that with the insane graphical improvements of the new character, the other characters (specifically the old or underwhelming characters like Saitama or Metal bat) get improved graphics/animations
Rising fist should deal more damage yes, but should also have more purple effects, maybe some purple particles slowly reaching the hand right before the victim flies away, the part where the victim gets blown away should have more purole effects aswell.
I generally don't see what people are mad about just like tatsumaki they can update the moves also they coded it in an entire crab boss yall can at least be a little appreciative they've been working tooth and nail helping you get better characters over time you guys have just been getting good AOE characters that's why you guys like them so much and then when you get something like goro's ultimate only for one person you guys get mad
